Honestly though if you look at the 0-60 mph time and 0-125 mph times together, that's when you get the bigger picture. It gives you a good estimate how much traction the car has (0-60) and how fast it can actually accelerate (0-125 or 60-125). The top speed numbers are always way off, the cars sometimes can go a lot faster than their top speed, but sometimes they are actually limited by their gears.

As he explains: the vents lead air from the C-pillar, channelled through the trunk and out under the spoiler. It's for a little bit of downforce. Cool detail.

That line was inspired by vintage cars of the 1910s-1920s which had protruding fender "wings" on either side. Most cars from that era were designed in that manner. The line on the new DBS mimics the swooping teardrop line that trailed the wheels from behind. Of course, Aston Martin's initial models used this particular setup. I however do think it is a really interesting design element and adds so much more beauty to an already gorgeous and well-proportioned car.

Ohh, i see they actually connect to the ducts In the trunk lid when the trunk is closed so you are saying theres air going to the rear spoiler through them if so, where is it actually coming from. And yahh why did doug not talk about this, ive noticed in his recent videos he misses alot of cool intersting stuff and instead points out rlly stupid basic things somermtimes

That line was inspired by vintage cars of the 1910s-1920s which had protruding fender "wings" on either side. Most cars from that era were designed in that manner. The line on the new DBS mimics the swooping teardrop line that trailed the wheels from behind. Of course, Aston Martin's initial models used this particular setup.
I however do think it is a really interesting design element and adds so much more beauty to an already gorgeous and well-proportioned car.
