I'll never understand why there aren't more shooting brakes made, it's the perfect layout for most people, useful but still fun and they look fantastic.

@@HunterJs2 It doesnt meant they have all to be hypercars. We could have had GR86 shooting brakes or MX-5 shooting brakes. It would make GR86 into a perfect daily and make MX-5 livable. Closest cars we had to that was Hyundai Veloster and VW Scirocco, but both are far taller and not exactly coupe like as GR86 and definetly like MX-5.

Nope. Just looked it up. It’s a new building now. It looks like a much larger version of this one on two floors. Makes this look like a fast food joint. It’s named Miller Motors. I’m in Palm Beach now. Our Aston dealership is shared with Jaguar and puts this to shame too.

I’m not sure they can! For such a rare car, a lot of them were available for purchase, with initial buyers backing out. I think one local to me sat on the lot for the better part of a year.
Why people think manufactures can make a car that will be worth millions in the Future ? If that was the case they would keep it and have 10 million in future it’s regular car and in the future if it becomes classic then be it it’s by luck same as other old classic cars when they were sold in the 60s or 70s nobody knew it would be millions now and back then 50000$ this will be only rare 30 years from now it’s not guaranteed either it all depends on what comes out what happens next what cars will come out there is many factors before it comes classic and this 100% won’t be classic and if it does will get 30 years from now if someone kept it in shape but manufactures don’t make cares to be classic and worth millions in the future nobody can actually know that because then someone who works there would buy it keep it they make it to sell what happens later nobody got control over

One of the few zagatos that's not insanely hideous. Zagato is the worst major design house imo. Most of their creations look far worse than the donor car.

@@akshayy_xd Like I said, Zagato is a terrible design house. Their entire job is to essentially make good looking cars, but every design they tweak comes out looking uglier than the original.
The interior looks like they started designing it in 2010 and only released it now.

sidenote: The reason that it is so expensive is that they had to recrash the car for several reasons, as doug mentioned the car has a "new" chassis with the rear subframe out of the rapide. And secondly the designers did not want many cut lines in the body, so the roof and rear quarter panel, and half of the rear bumper(look at the surrounding of the rear tail light) are made with one sheet of carbon with no cuts. it might look like there is a cut between the quarter panel and the roof, but the line is molded in the carbon, making it the largest carbon fiber piece ever produced. and because carbon fiber has specific directional strength, they had to glue several carbon fiber layers in cross pattern which resulted in a much stronger panel than the original. so the car was crash tested again, Aston never revealed how many cars had to be crashed but usually it takes a minimum of 6 cars, that’s if you rebuild the cars in between the crashes which is possible only if the main crash structure has 0 damage. or around 18-22 cars if you do not rebuild them. And don’t forget that this car has the engine out of the vantage gt12, essentially a gt3 engine made to handle the 24 hours of le mans, that means titanium inlet valves, Inconel exhaust valves, titanium valve retainers, titanium rods and a custom magnesium inlet manifold and titanium exhaust manifold. Second sidenote: if you ever wondered why manufactures charge more for naked carbon parts than panels with body paint even though both are carbon, it’s because naked carbon has really bad reflective properties and can therefore get extremely hot under some light sunshine. so, if you use normal clearcoat over bear carbon the clearcoat will peel in just a few years. Hence the manufactures must use a special kind of clearcoat that unfortunately is sold by some 3rd party company, I remember that Chevrolet said that they paid 15k+ per gallon when making the c6 z06.

When you’re shopping for an Aston you don’t really care about price. To me I don’t complain about it, I strive and grind to maybe one day be able to financially afford one.
The rear look is the best part of it. It’s timeless and ultra modern.
I know I'm a bit late, but I really don't like the taillights. Special and unique but I would love a more traditional or simplified design.

I actually have a similar problem in my Toyota Paseo.
The two handles for the fuel door and the tailgate are under the left side of the front seat.
The tailgate is in front, the fuel door is right behind it.
Although I know this sometimes I still open the fuel door instead of the tailgate.

Yeah, that's a half million dollar car, not nearly a million. Aston Martin has a history of over pricing their cars. If every car in its class is $100,000, the competitive Aston Martin is $250,000. They do it all the time. That's why they only made 99, not because of exclusivity, but because they are only confident they can sell 99 of them...

Don't forget they are charging so much because they will make so few. These cars are not vehicles, they are investments, and their purpose is not to carry people, but to hold or rise in value. It's a safer investment than stocks, that's for sure. And you have 919.000.000$ safe from losing value from inflation. If you see it that way, it is a very sensible thing to put your money on

US car manufacturers cannot, under any circumstances build vehicles comparable with Aston Martin. Fact.
The engine in the Vanquish is a 6.0L Naturally Aspirated V12, producing a staggering 580 horsepower and a 0-62mph time of just 3.5 seconds.
No US car maker produces a V12 engine nor does it produce engines built to the same tolerances as the AM V12.
The most expensive US made car is the Hennesey Venom GT ($1.1 million) and that is based on a British Lotus Exige with a US V8 stuffed in it. Value for money?............

@@colintawn3535 When the fuck did I mention American cars? Compare the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake to the Ferrari GTC4Lusso and the Lagonda Taraf to pretty much any Rolls Royce or Bentley sedan and its pretty clear both Aston Martin's are very overpriced.

What that just isn't true, you've taken this one example and made it out to be an issue with the brand when it's not.
@@Chris-zi4mo I mean if anything this should be the ONE example that would prove Aston Martin can make a decent interior for almost A MILLION DOLLARS. It looks like the same interior in all models Doug has covered as well in recent videos.
Doug also made a video on the Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf, wich is also around a million dollars if I remeber correctly, and its pretty much the same problem.

That's how most Aston Martin's are, overpriced crap. AM is absolutely overrated. Some people just have so much money that they would rather waste them on AM and let them continue producing overpriced garbage.
With that said, I still like AM's exterior design and their v12 engine sound. Everything else apart from those aren't worth it.
