The DB12 only having a V8 is ironic considering how they skipped the DB8 name so no one would mistake it for having a V8 when it was V12 only.

The buttons are beautiful and a sight for tired eyes but Aston Martin is a super niche brand, maybe a bit optimistic that they’ll set a trend. I sure hope so though.
@@samrapaport3757 Sure it starts with Aston Martin and RR, but once only BMW had LEDs, now they come on Honda CRV's.
People also want to show off more expensive interiors and a great way to do that is to have a load of buttons which are way costlier than another menu in a screen that already has to be there.

There is more for the driver and it is as much about luxury as performance. The other cars in its class are more obbesesd with performance and tech. Or crazy lines with the body much more of a fight when driving for more than 30 mins. Yes it is expensive…
I always watch Doug’s videos as if I’m in the market to upgrade from my Jetta to a DB12.

The most obvious way to distinguish it from the DB11 is that huge grille. No way you missed it.
I'm impressed. This really feels like a proper Aston Martin with its luxury and sportiness on a GT. Not a V12, but still amazing.
DB12 has 30bhp more than DB11. DB12 has 517.
With the recent trend of having luxury and sports cars with huge grilles, I think Aston Martin did it best. It looks stupid on Lexus, it looks really stupid on BMW... But for Aston it kinda stands where you want it. Not too much into your face yet the distinguished look is still there.

Green is such an underrated color imo, looks so good on cars, like BMW for example
British brands official color like A.M., and J. They use that green color since the 40's 50's races, tha's how Ferrari was red.
True! Saw a green m2 (I think?) recently, and it was amazing. Not all cars can pull it off, but it really works for more aggressive looking cars

Torquois green always looks good on exotics.

Aston Martin has consistently designed amazing looking coupes with similar design language, this one is no different. Great looking car
Fun fact: Whenever Doug advertises Cars & Bids before reviewing a new car, he showcases auctions of cars of the same type as the reviewed car. For instance, Before the DB12 review there were auctions of supercars.

This felt like a classic Doug Review. The squeeze in the back seat brought a smile to me 100%
This was the video that I've been the most excited for aside from cars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie and Ferrari 812 Comp. The DB12 is a massive step forward for Aston Martin and I can see some impressive things coming from the brand in the very near future.

This engine bay is far less sexy than its predecessor's. BUT... what a gorgeous car ! And I like that the screen is not protruding like crazy on the dashboard, keeping it clean. Great improvement on the interior, compared to the DB11. I'm falling in love with Aston Martin all over again.

The 3D camera feature always blows my mind, like, how do they do it? It's like magic to me :o
at first i thought it used like gps or something because its a top down view
I’m not an expert but the car has multiple cameras taking a live feed from all angles. Then they’re stitched together. Gets adjusted to look like it’s a top-down view. That’s why when you’re standing at the edge of the 360 view you get stretched. But u should do ur own research as I previously mentioned I’m not an expert
Basically it uses multiple cameras to use perspective and stuff to wrap the 3D net over everything, model where what is and it combines it into a 3D model

Yeah they should done CF trim around the center controls, but car manufacturers have a kink for gloss black.
Anyone who can afford this has someone to clean their cars after every drive.

This car looks so great! And it feels also great! especially in the Interior, i checked it out at the local Aston Martin dealer, absolutely perfect.
The Exterior is also beautiful, the Db11 elements looking still pretty good.

DOUG Top Ten Idea: If you were going to drive a car from California to the East Coast and back, what car would you pick at different price points? Start with under $10,000 and finish with over $1 million.... I'ld think something like under 10k, 20k, 35k, 50k, 75k, 150k, 350k, 700k, under 1 million and over 1million.

I love Astons and this one looks amazing but it's definitely better to wait and buy them used because they they get into reasonable Prices within about a Year.

@DougDeMuro the "Final Inspection" plate under the hood on modern Astons refers to the entire car's final inspection, not the person who built the engine. This is made more confusing by where they have chosen to mount this plate on the newer cars, but if you ever get a chance to do the factory tour at Gaydon, they explain this.

The interior is absolutely gorgeous (especially compared to the DB11). Minus the gloss black it would be perfect. Volkswagen has the Smart Climate for years and I love it and use it quite frequently, nice to see these features also in upscale cars that where years behind previously.
