Idk if y’all are looking for feedback (feel free to ignore if you aren’t), but I really missed the personality in this video. The moments where Rachel narrated her steps almost vlog-style were so much more engaging than the top-down diy shots. Just something to consider since I, and much of your audience, come to you for your personalities and energy! Lots of love ❤️

I think this format would really excel in short-form video content! However, I found myself tuning out and having to rewatch parts bc it was hard to keep up with in a long format without the engaging personality/voice. Even a voiceover with captions could help with that. Love that y’all are exploring new formats though!

The retro flower coasters are adorable, and I could totally see myself making them! But without the usual voiceover explaining what you're doing and why, this video comes off as a cheesy 5 Minutes Crafts video, and not the usual standard we're used to from the Sorry Girls.

@@mdwrm I liked the shell bowl concept, but it was very rough looking at the end. Same with the tile coasters, they were quite messy even in the well-filmed reveal shots. A lot of it's not my style, but I do find a few things super cute, so obv the DIYs themselves are meant to be legitimately helpful and re-creatable. But then there's also multiple places where there appears to be blood on Rachael's hands and the shoe prints in the advert looked bloody as well. 😬 I'm not one to get nauseous at the sight of blood, but what a strange choice to include in the vid! 😂

I have to say i too feel like these diys are variations of items we seen from you before. I don’t know if it’s the color palette, the materials, or the design. Rachel is a very good crafter and has a very easy going manner, it has nothing to do with her or her presentation. Especially with Kelseys attempts on cutting marble and ur bugger carpetentry projects!!! We all love diy things but a diy is not worth it if the quality is lackluster even if it will only save u a few dollars. That was fun 5min craft parody and I got few inspirations too. Now the questions: Is the succulent pot stable? Isn’t it too top heavy? Coasters - was the wooden base smaller than the tile? Wall hanging flower thing - do I need to glue in the glass or is the clay sticky enough? Can I use slightly bigger vessel to hold let’s say a small live plant? Clay flower coasters - what if I still have the air dry clay from the previous thing, would it work the same? Clay incense holder doesn’t hold the ashes, maybe it should stay at dry plant holder.

I’ve been watching you guys since the old costume days. I love all your stuff even this. But in a world where my brain can’t even focus on a 15 second tiktok video I cannot sit through this whole video without a voice over lmao. I just cannot!

The flower coaster is cute, but will no protect your table from condensation. Might look cute hanging on a wall though.

It was different than usual but the format was quite relaxing. Liked that were actually cute and creative diys but was quite self explanatory. Missed the old DIYs video a little since you've been doing mostly room makeovers lately. Thanks Rachel!

I agree with everyone who also misses the personality in this video. I think the market is over saturated with “5 minute crafts” that honestly look like they probably get donated to Goodwill as soon as the video is over. I really miss the fun vibes and the people component that drew me to the channel

I see a bunch of comments that aren't really feeling this style of video, Which is fair and valid.
I did, however, really enjoy this video and the style! It was a change from the typical vlog style you all normally do, which I love, and this was nice! It was really soothing to watch and I still got some great DIY ideas that are super simple and attainable for me.

Lots of neat ideas, but when I first saw the thumbnail, my first instinct was to ignore/scroll away, cause I let thought it was the evil 5 Min Crafts. Soooo, maybe not great for the demographic that you’ve built.

While it’s always great to hear Rachael as she goes describes her projects I thought this was an interesting way to try something new. I like the short DIY idea and the video itself was well done - the music mix was lively and the whole thing seemed ‘fun’. Well done Rachael keep trying new things!

I’m missing the old days! Rachel being quirky and funny! I can watch silent shit anywhere - I want you guys. Kelsey’s last vid was boring- too much talk not enough action. Haven’t watched new girl’s vids- boring. So far Becky is the superstar with hands on, dirty Reno and reuse and fun! Just my IMHO. Still love you all!!! Katie in VT.

I disagree with a lot of these comments and I still loved this video. I feel like sometimes I need a quieter video like this, and sometimes I need a chatty long form video, and that’s why this channel works. I also loved the like magazine ladder and the balloon earring bowl SO MUCH.
I also disagree with the comment saying “5-min make it and throw it away content”, if someone is making this to just throw it away then why are they even bothering… that’s on them not on TSG’s!!

I think they all were good for getting the creative juices flowing...I don't know that I'd do any exactly as is, but would definitely for instance customize that pendant idea to my own style (especially because I was gifted some of that paper mache and haven't thought of anything to do with it yet). Thanks for all the inspo!
