You're such a smart cookie Leigh! That certainly gives it that individuality and you make it sound so easy. Your expertise once again shine on the Yamaha Genos2 are we're blessed to have a dedicated professional explaining such ingenues was to sound better and individual. Thank you
Your videos never disappoint! Far from talking too much, even though I can't afford a Geno's 2, yet! - they give a great deal of pleasure just watching and listening!!❤
Hello Leigh, Just say hello from the Netherlands and want to let you know that you are an inspiration for me. I hope to get myself a Genos 2 somewhere in July when I saved enough money. Keep going with your channel. Kind regards
By the way, you DO NOT talk too much. There isn't anywhere else on TH-cam that I've seen where I get as much in-depth information on a Genos keyboard as I do on this channel. By the way, Leigh, would like to see Style demos for Jazz, Big Band and Latin stuff (Bossa Nova, Beguine, Rhumba, etc.), and Easy Listening, like from the 50s and 60s, please.
This is a brilliant work-around for the preset arpeggiator issue where you can't fully customize the arpeggio. I wonder if a software update in the future will add the ability to create custom arpeggios in there? The fact that you can chord match using the multi-pad really makes it ideal for this situation.
Once again Leigh an excellent demonstration of the capabilities of the Genos. As a classically trained pianist, I have tended to focus on the various pianos, the ambient grand being one of my favorites, yet this demo has made me realize there is far more to be explored.
Well this is - I think - the second or third video in which Leigh shows us the phenomenal Genos 2 with its marvelous externally loaded sounds ;-)! Really beautiful strings, organs, horns - only that they are not in this machine. You must buy them additionally. Yes, after you paid 5000. Lovely! How amazing! 🤪🤑😜🤑
No Leigh, you don’t talk too much. If not for your genuine explanations we would not get the full experience. What’s more, your hand jive motions throughout makes you more expressive in explaining everything. Keep going Leigh, I am still working on plans to kick in my now 5 yamaha keyboards into touch so can just have the one that really matters … the G2!
Hello Just a greeting from Denmark. I watch all your videos and love them, your videos are a great inspiration. I hope one day to be able to replace my Genos with a Genos 2. Thanks for your great work in showing all the cool features.
You're truly a hidden gem, sir! Even though I may not have the means to afford this incredible machine, your guidance takes me on a delightful journey towards realizing my dream of owning it. I genuinely appreciate your dedication to showcasing the remarkable capabilities of this machine. With that in mind, it would be wonderful if you could demonstrate its prowess in mimicking guitar sounds, as I'm eager to witness its musical capabilities.
Hi Leigh, would you do a review of SoundPacks Cathedral Organ expansion pack?? Would like to know your take before spending that kind of money. Thanks, TOM
By the way, you can easily program the "organ pattern" into the multipad via Step Edit. There are notes to choose that are in tempo with your song. Just saying.
Well, there is a video of the "keyboard akademy" which have the best tutorials for Genos. And they do it this way. Better program it this way than playing it live without quantization - hoping it gets "quite well", doesn't it? Just trying to be constructive@@LeighWilbraham
Hello Leigh and came across your excellent viseos by pure chance and I'm thrilled that I did. Your instructional videos are fantastic and the Yahama Genos is a keyboard I shall seriously consider buying. Just one thing, one this video, you showed the screen from your keyboard when adding the new sound, at time of 2.37 - may I ask how this is done? Is there a port at the back of the keyboard which allows this function?
@@LeighWilbraham Thank you so much Leigh, I will do more research on how to complete the setup using the HDMI port, as you mentioned. Oh, and I'm watching from Denmark.
So, I got rid of m Korg Pa5X for the Genos2, but in ALL THE VIDS on line, no-one tells you that The Genos2 doesn't have a FULL FLEDGE SYNTHESIZER in it!! Yes, the Genos has synth sounds, and yes, you can do some BASIC edits on it like attack, sustain and filter stuff, BUT THAT'S IT!! So now I'm starting to feel that this a deal breaker, and back to the Pa5X. 🤔🤨
Leigh, I'm stopping the video at about 4:30 into it because I don't want to forget. Since this is a MIDI recorded pattern, is it possible to record the pattern to a DAW, quantize it there, and then record the pattern from the DAW back into Genos? I don't know if that's possible or not, but since Genos doesn't have a quantize for pattern creation, it would seem to be a viable solution, if Genos can record the pattern as it's incoming from a DAW/External sequencer like Cubase or something.
My dad was a big Klaus fan, he passed away in 2009 and he would have loved the Klaus sounds on this. Thank you for all of your demos.

Ave Maria would sound fabulous on that style you’ve created. Brilliant.

Hello!!! 👋 great to have you watching. Great news to see you getting a Genos 2 - congratulations.
It's really incredible how accurately they nail that Klaus sound. I can only imagine how fun that is to play.

Hi Leigh, your demos of how to do things or change things on the Genos are second to none, brilliant. Cheers!!

please do more of the technical set up technical manual very hard to follow
What is the name of the song you were playing at the beginning of your demo. Beautiful
It’s something that I made up.
Hi, Leigh. I would like to hear the Pink Floyd style that you have in user aria.
It’s a work in progress but I can show you how it sounds so far.

Have you tried using it ?? Easily?? You’re joking right ??

Been looking for the ON button but then remembered I don't even have a keyboard yet 🤪

Didn’t you do your research? And why do you need a synth engine?

Sadly no
I'm sorry. It was a thought, anyway. Maybe Yamaha will support that in a future update.
@@GaryMCurran I hope so.
