I've had the G4 for about 7 months. The GOOD: The frame is solid and well put together. It's a light scooter, that is easy to carry and move around/store. Two levels of speed, level one will top out at 15 mph, level 2 at 20. Decent breaks, a bit "mushy" but I don't mind. The stem folds down and attaches to an easy clip lock - simple but solid. Has a built-in lock in the stem, you can set a code to keep it safe. It's a cable lock, so it can be compromised, but for a quick store run it should be fine. Not sure why other scooter manufacturers don't do the same, very cool feature. Easy to ride, no apps, or complicated stuff. Just turn on and go. It's not fancy, it's an entry-level, basic scooter to get you from A to B. The BAD: Tires! The stock tires suck. Poor quality, pretty good chance you will experience a flat - mostly on the rear tire. They are air-filled - tube tires. The stock tires are from Junyai. The new tire/tube combination I used is CZJIAWO. Could be me, the new tire seems better quality. Can find it on Amazon. When I applied the new tube and tire, I coated the inside of the tire with non-puncture tape. I've put a couple hundred miles on it with no issues. NOTE: I actually ordered a solid tire to put on, it's very difficult to put a solid tire on a split-rim wheel. Also, a solid tire's ride quality and impact on the scooter is bad. If you're in the market for a scooter, get one that has self-healing tires, it will save you a lot of stress. It sucks when you want to ride and end up stuck playing scooter mechanic. The scooter is NOT a hill climber, if you live in Seattle, SF, or other hilly areas, this is not the scooter. It's a single - 500-watt motor with limitations. If you do remove the wheel etc. have the correct tools, many small screws on this ride, that strip out easily. Side note: if you remove the rear wheel, you have to disconnect the power connection. It's a pain to attach the prongs when putting it back together. You must remove the front plate and match the arrows between the male and female end. Don't ride this in the pouring rain! Battery life is slowly dying, not for long trips!! Spend the extra coin and purchase a scooter with self-healing tires. Save yourself a headache.
for some reason when ever i put the tillar lock back inside it place in the orginial position and once i scrambled the combination lock i can pull the tillar lock out of it place, any tips to stop this happening?
It’s pretty good, obviously a little slower but still good torque to get up the inclines, I don’t know about something like the streets in San Francisco but maybe someone from there can comment if they’ve tried it with a G4. Thanks for watching
Nope, that's a first for me to hear, sorry to hear that, thanks for watching. I do store it indoors though, especially with our cold climates in Canada
Help Ross. I just got one of these from my husband and I have questions the manual does not answer. Would you be able to answer them for me - if so can we safely connect so I can talk to you directly? Let me know ... and thanks. Diana

would you say the segway e2 pro is better? despite lower speed and range
Hi nice review. Was wondering they give you a choice standard tires or tubeless. What would you choose?thank you.
@@king1ny standard tires, but I had a problem with rear tire and got tubeless put in, it’s game changer! Tubeless all day in my opinion
@@TheCovertCrow yeah thank you very much. That sounds great.....
I really like Gotrax but I HATE not being able to disable the kick to start and cruise control functions. And why 2 speeds?
im a kid and getting this soon, cant wait
It’s awesome! Thanks for watching
Where a helmet, can’t trust those drivers out there
Thanks for making this videos for us, keeping up my G
Get the seat of gotrax site tall seat stem no wobble for long time just tighten the bolts.
How to stop it from continuously beeping
Don't move the scooter. If you move it the scooter thinks your a robber
How do you turn on the headlight

Hmmmm...I haven't seen that. Sounds odd, thanks for watching, I will have to look out for it
It looked like you had a phone mount on the scooter. Does it block the digital screen? If it doesn’t would you mind telling me which mount it is?
Not at all, and I would say its necessary, comes in real handy, tis for watching
how does it perform going up hills. I live in an area with alot of hills and want something that can go up them.
