    Just a thought. The charging handle might be catching on your brass catcher causing your feeding problems.

      I know right! Common logic would say: let’s not do our initial test firing with this net brass catcher over the side charging handle! God forbid 3 cases hit the ground…..

    I just built a pistol the same as yours with my son. Took it to the range and sure enough, feed problems. I watched a bunch of videos (why yours was recommended I bet) and did the CMMG magazine smiley trim. I polished the ramps, the chamber, and cleaned and lubed it for another test run tomorrow I hope. Wish me luck. I'm glad you have one running well!

      Yes pay attention to where the bullet is hanging up and polish the feed ramps good sometimes you have to add more feed ramp like polish it down some so it doesn't hang up anymore I have had these problems with x39 1 mag would feed good and a dif brand would hang up I dropped the feed ramp some polished it and it runs flawless with any mags and any ammo also use a Dremel get the kit with a bunch of a bits don't be afraid I know I was at first but u can't hurt it take some metal out then polish it smooth it will be better than new

    I trimmed my p-mag in the internal ribs adjacent to the bottle neck portion of a 5.56 cartridge. cycles perfectly, Used a die grinder to remove ribs , now i have 20 rd p mags that hold 18 - 350 legend carts. highly suggest.

    I have feed problems w the 150gr Win XP ammo. Jams every time. I think it's because of the OAL using the pointed XP bullet. 180 RN is fine. Anyone else have this issue?

  • @larrypettiford5246
    @larrypettiford5246 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I had the same issue with a 300blk build some years ago. A heavier buffer helped with the issue. Seems the bolt needed to be slowed down a bit. I think whenever you introduce a new cartridge into a weapon setup for another cartridge there will be some minor issues to work through. I hope it all works out for you cause there is nothing more frustrating than spending money on something that doesn’t work as well as expected.

    Is that a left side ejection port?! I have the 16" BCA upper in .350. Love it, but it doesn't like the lighter rounds. If I run 145gr FMJ's through it, it'll jam up every 4 or 5 shots.. no issues with 180gr hunting rounds.

    I had to polish my BCG and ejector as well as the chamber to a mirror finish. Will run any round and works with any magazine. Talked to a very reputable barrel maker and that’s what they told me to do. Works on every AR15-350 legend they’ve had to work on. Try that out and it’ll run like a top

    All you have to do is get a Dremel and polish the feed ramps I had a x39 jam everytime I had to change the feed ramp angle a little gave it a better angle to feed and dropped the feed ramp a little it was catching at the bottom coming out the magazine I dremeled it down so the angle was below the spot it was catching polished good that's usually your issue with feed

    • @slick4922
      @slick4922 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@phamilton0303 yea I started having this problem when it reaches main hub 30 mins away from the hub which delivers to me. All seals cut and then taped back with an inspection sticker with the guys name from that distribution hub and his employ number. I gave the info to BCA so they would know it's happening the guy removed the upper put it back in the box backwards fingerprints all smugged all over it and what looked like gritty dirt on the side of the bcg. I've never received a product from them that way that's why I know it wasn't sent that way. Now today this shipment became untrackable after leaving the distribution center which is 30 mins from the delivery hub which is 15 mins from me. Now says delayed but they can't come up with a location . I thought I picked ups this time but I guess I should have double checked. FedEx is a joke anymore. 3 out of every 10 packages disappeared 15 mins from my house . How does an item out for delivery and not delivered to any address just disappear.

    I strongly believe you should always clean your weapon before shooting it especially if it’s fresh from the factory. The grease that they put on weapons has always cause me issues no matter the weapon.
    Also, if you’re using a side charging weapon, get rid of the brass catcher. And if you aren't using a side charging weapon, still get rid of the brass catcher. Its only asking for FTE issues.

    • @CWfist
      @CWfist ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeap i agree with this comment. I can hear metal on metal, needs to be cleaned and oiled before use. And I stop using brass catchers, once it caused a horrible jam in my 1911 that I had to take it to a gunsmith...

      I thought same thing, my 16' BCA 350 runs flawless with the 145 and 180 gr loads, but it hates the 150 deer season xp on accuracy. The 180 win gives me the best accuracy, though none are bad excpt the 150. about 2" group. The next worse in hornady whitetail at about 1" which i can live with on such a short range gun. Similar accuracy as my Ruger ranch 350L on all. I'll do a video in couple weeks. I just ordered another 223wylde for my nephew. I want to compare it to my custom 223 wylde. Keep the vids coming!

    First off what barrel length do you have there, I would love a 350 pistol? Second, does that upper have a dual feed ramp or a single feed ramp? I have two 350L uppers I've purchased from BCA, both have 20" Stainless heavy barrels, one is a rear charger and one is a side charger. The side charger has a single feed ramp like a 450 bushmaster, the rear charger has a duel feed ramp like a 300 BLK. I checked the BCA Website and the upper I ordered says it uses a 300 BLK feed ramp, it is having some feeding issues, they all feed but seem to drag going in and the bolt stops before going into battery. I also noticed a large scratch on the bottom of the casing after removal. I believe the high point of the split ramp is causing the issue. This is not a .30 caliber bullet after all so why use a 30 caliber ramp. The side charging upper with the single ramp has never had one feeding issue the whole time I've owned it. I plan to have a gunsmith remove the center portion of the ramp on the rear charger. If this describes your feeding issue look for the split ramp. This may need to be addressed by BCA.
