These are the shots I feel really good about. Deer just feels a bee sting and then acts like “huh? That was weird” and the thinks “man I am sleepy I am going to lie down a bit” and then falls asleep forever.
More likely the deer feels the pain but just doesn't realize what happened and is confused or it hurts too bad to run. I studied pain in humans & animals for many years and outward appearances can be very deceiving. An individual can be feeling something terrible inside and not show it the way you would expect on the outside for varying reasons.
I've shot 4 deer with the 180gr. Power Point rounds, 3 dropped instantly the other ran 30 yds, I recovered the bullet on this deer, perfect expansion at 100 yds. I shot another deer twice with the 150 Deer Season at 50 ft, it just stood there for 10 seconds then trotted off. All I found was a little fur, no blood. Hours later I found a massive blood spatter at the edge of the property. Never found the deer. I won't be using that ammo again.
The 350 Legend maintains >1000 ft-lbs. of energy at 150 yards. It is an excellent white tail cartridge. Anyone on here complaining about it has either never shot it, or is a horrible shot and needs an over-powered cartridge to drop deer on bad shots.
been hunting deer over 60 yrs and own over 15 deer rifles of various cals. --took a very nice 8 pt with my 600 rem in .35 rem and 200 gr Barnes ttsx handloads--he did not wonder what had happened--lights out--guess i'll pass on the .350
We were using 180 gr deer season. We dropped down to the 150 xp's (No particular reason). Haven't had a problem with either harvesting a deer. My father-in-law, was complaining about the 150, but he was really making bad shots and blaming the ammo...LOL...
I use a federal 150 nosler partition for deer or a 150 Sierra boat tail im my 30.06 an a 165 ballistic tip in my 300 win mag but my mag i shoot around 300 to 600 yards

@korazjian5251 i dislocated my dominant shoulder. So the recoil for me with the 450 is actually a major issue. But i agree. 450 is great. But it's really overkill for deer. I'll take my 350 all day long

I’ve shot a buddies 350 more than enough to get familiar with the round I’m just worried on distance with it. I’ve heard good things on both side of the fence I’m just at a stand still before I setup a rifle lol
@korazjian5251 i went with the savage 110 apex in 350 if that helps at all. The 350 is good to hit minute of deer out to 250yards. Mine shoots just over 1 moa at 100

My 35 Rem is basically the same with 200 gr @2080! I’ve never had a deer stand like that! They either drop in the spot or start a frantic run ,never over 40 yds! I don’t see that that round created enough shock! Wish that you showed the exit! My 30-06 used to do that, exiting like a pencil hole when I used 180s but made wicked exits when I switched to 150s! They’re constructed more frangibly for better expansion on thin skinned game! No disrespect but I don’t like that reaction to the 350 Legend!

I've shot deer with a 350 legend before double lung that had blood literally pouring out of them and fell within 20 yards. Shot placement is important with any caliber. I swear by this gun in a straight wall cartridge state. My guess is he was using 150 grain and after slowing it down looks like he may of hit a single lung by the way the deer arched, also looks like the bullet didnt pass through. 180 will rip right through and leave blood.
The hell are you talking about? The deer was dead in less than a minute. It felt a sting, heard a strange noise and peacefully fell asleep. You can't ask for a cleaner kill unless you hit it directly in the heart.

Why not wait for the new 360 Remington. Check it out. It is made for lever action rifles. Henry is making three lever actions and a single shot for the new round. Better internal ballistics by far. It's a ballistic twin to the .35 Remington.

I'm not impressed with the shot. I know of 2 different occasions where the deer were shot with 350 legend and were unrecovered. Of course shot placement is everything. I'd much rather use 450 bushmaster in straight wall cartridge.
Some states only allow you to use a straight wall cartridge. I have a cascade in 350 proper shot placement is critical. Don’t overextend your range and go for the top of the shoulder. They drop instantly.
People on here saying it was a bad shot but the deer was crippled and couldn’t move. Seems to me that it was a good shot. I think what happened here was bullet didn’t expand. I have read more comments about this round with the same scenario than on any other caliber. I think it’s a good round for deer hunting but maybe some guys are using the wrong round.
That deer was surely eating a lot of snow for a long time. After hunting 50 years , I just learned deer love snow.

Some places you can’t use a 35 Remington but you can use a 350 Legend. Use whatever is legal in the area you hunt!
