If you want a 100% seal on your riser boards, try tongue and groove boards.

My concern was them swelling too much and not coming out. Also not sure if they make treated? I need to replace some boards the beavers chewed so maybe I’ll try it !

Very cool. Planted some millet 8/15/2022 and still have seed heads on mine.

Hey man I live really close to you ,I wont say where on here, but always good to see some local people interested in the same things! If you ever need some places to hunt I've got a handful of public holes I've been scouting close by that are holding ducks pretty good! Loving the videos

Glad to know others are trying too! If everyone did just a little something to their ponds and swamps think how much habitat there would be

Tools - use what you got. A hand saw would of worked fine too. Thanks for the update.

Enjoying the videos. Really learned a lot. Looking for me a few spots to try this here in the sandhills. Been without power for the last few days. Being a NC guy you know what I am referring to.

@@Yellowlab247_NC_Outdoors We are good. Nearly everyone has power back. Just a weird feeling. Usually when there is a long power outage a large area is affected: hurricane, ice storm or such. But this time the rest of the world has been normal while we have been crippled. I will not lie, going without social media and some other things has been nice. But ready to get back to work (high school teacher). So excited for the 3rd split of duck season. I sure hope we get a real good cold snap before Christmas.

I would have had a chain saw lol 😂 they are more forgiving when you drop them in the water
