A few years ago, I flew back & forth on Spirit, Louisville /Las Vegas 12+ times. One time we flew thru turbulence from the airliner in front of us. Pilot never let up or changed course. We rode it out like a electric bull at a bar. 😂 Another time we sat on the runway for an hour, when we took off, he never let off the gas pedal. We must have been running 700mph because we got to Vegas on time, same time as if we never had the 1 hour runway lag. 😂 another time we arrived in Louisville, we waited for our baggage for 2 fuggn hours. There were NO baggage employees to be found.

When I was in the Navy, any time a hurricane or severe weather was predicted we would put out to sea. Being tied up at the pier would cause much more damage to the ship so we would ride the storm out at sea.

For those who don't know there is a rule in Aviation if you are at V1 or under you can abort take off, if you are at V2 and have rotional speed you keep going as you dont have enough runway at that point to stop, so the pilot did the right thing he was at V2 and rotated.
@@xdevs23 He is already at V2 Rotaional speed, he would not have enough runway to even attempt to stop the plane hence why he rotates, I don't understand what ATC are complaining about as Ground Stop Procedure is if you are V1 or under you would obey he's at V2 and has rotational speed so the Ground Stop doesn't apply, there is also this really magical thing that maybe ATC isn't aware of and that is you can turn the plane away from the tornado and go around it just like really bad weather systems we don't risk going through them so we go above or around them, some ATCs are just really stupid.
Remember to never fly Spirit again...oh come, on where's your Spirit??? On its way to Vegas. That's what I'm talking about!!! Next time, I'll do what you say and wait for you😂😂😂

This is why I fly spirit. I once landed in a blizzard and we were the only plane to land in the middle of a 3 hour window. All the other flights were delayed several days except spirit. The way I see it I either get there in reasonable time for a low cost, or I die. Win win!
The greatest disaster in the history of aviation was caused by a pilot who took off without clearance. I should say tried to take off, but unfortunately there was another 747 on the runway at the time. Impatience is not a virtue.

I ve known & flown with some OG pilots - one time trying to get out of Cuba before some expected rain taxied & in runway position to take off we start off then captain calmly but loudly says “buckle up it’s a hurricane “! then spun the B737-400 to face the sudden force of wind that “came out of nowhere” 10 /15 minutes later we were back in position to safely takeoff & head to Miami. 99% of Airline pilots make excellent decisions- thanks ladies & gentlemen pilots you are appreciated.

This is why I fly spirit. I once landed in a blizzard and we were the only plane to land in the middle of a 3 hour window. All the other flights were delayed several days except spirit.

I ve known & flown with some OG pilots - one time trying to get out of Cuba before some expected rain taxied & in runway position to take off we start off then captain calmly but loudly says “buckle up it’s a hurricane “! then spun the B737-400 to face the sudden force of wind that “came out of nowhere” 10 /15 minutes later we were back in position to safely takeoff & head to Miami. 99% of Airline pilots make excellent decisions- thanks ladies & gentlemen pilots you are appreciated.
