Hi Dave! I wanted to bring it up to you about 3 different times where they tried to reboot a classic show that I remember as a kid. That show was Greatest American Hero and then in 1986 the original cast appeared on the season pilot of the show called Greatest American Heroin where Ralph has to pass his suit from the aliens onto someone else because he became too famous to wear it any longer. Ralph finds a female to wear the suit and Robert Culp would work as the FBI agent with the new super hero. I only found one episode on Tubi. Then when I went to look up information on the show more than one show popped up. In 2007 they tried to reboot Greatest American Hero and it did not last as long as the original show. Plus, in 2017 they tried to reboot the 1986 TV show Greatest American Heroin. It also flopped.

You cannot compare Norman Fell's 'Mr. Roper', and Don Knott's 'Mr. Ferley' characters. Both characters were uniquely and brilliantly played by the actors, giving both characters a separate life, and a charm that only those two actors could.

Mr. Furley (Don) was more into makin’ those wobbly-necked, googley eyed 😳 faces and being a mix of clueless Chrissie and physical comedian Jack. We didn’t need more of the same thing in a new character.
So, what was enjoyed about the Ropers is their characters were “normal” people - they were down to earth to offset the roommates’ goofiness and the scenarios they’d find themselves in - Mr. Ropers was representing us interacting with Jack, Chrissie, and Janet in that way. Because of course we’d be shaking our head at them and making fun of them etc..

Don’t forget the Three’s Company movie based on Chris Mann’s book. Oh, and the one character you forgot to mention was Larry! Great character along with a great cast. Joyce Dewitt has to be my pick for favorite female roommate for Three's Company. She's the most level-headed one of the bunch! Priscilla Barnes would be my second choice for favorite roommate. She's much more practical than either Jenilee Harrison, or Suzanne Somers. As for favorite Landlord, Don Knotts gets my vote. He's so garish and overdone, yet with his own lovable, but misguided spiel on things (Such as how to woo a lady)! He's my choice. Norman Fell was very good...but Don Knotts was better. His goofiness and garishness made him a One-Of-A-Kind Landlord, that Norman Fell's "Mr. Roper" couldn't quite match. Mrs. Roper (Audra Lindley) was the poor overlooked, under-appreciated, under-loved, and stressed out Housewife, and as for that part of their love life, I blame Mr. Roper completely! We've got, therefore, one Landlord that doesn't appreciate what he has in a wife, and another Landlord that's desperately seeking out a lady to be his wife! Mr. Ralph Furley had something going for himself... didn't he?!?
Anyway, I digress. Have a great day, and remember:Three is company, too!

I totally respected his not wanting to do that spinoff, citing that "Three's Company" was good work, spin-offs didn't always work, and until "Three's Company" began, he hadn't a lot of long run successfully acting jobs that worked.
Take nothing away from Don Knotts, a "6x Best Supporting Actor In A Situation Comedy Winner,"

I really liked the Ropers it was the better of the spinoff s. All the actor who was the husband next door Jeffery Tambor was brilliant. It also featured the cast of threes company from time to time. I wish it last longer than it originally did. Moving shows from a well known time slot was death for the show.

This was fun reminiscing. I probably watched all of these episodes growing up. I was sad when Chrissy left, but I watched for Jack. Janet was the constant and underappreciated for sure! I found the cousin beyond annoying trying to be funny and intentionally clumsy. Watching Jennilee Harris trying to fill Suzanne's shoes was awkward in every way. As for Priscilla Barnes, she brought a different ditsy and I wished she had been a little more interesting or had some amount of depth beyond a nurses uniform, but she was a step up from Jenilee. Overall - I loved the Ropers and I loved Furley. I watched the Ropers and I liked it OK except the neighbors were mismatched and wouldn't be a couple. He is obviously Gayer than Jack pretended to be. Don Knotts can do no wrong when placed in a certain element and that was one that fit him like a psychedelic glove. It does bring back memories. Fun to watch.

They literally crusaded all over the world, had TMH’s people murdered, burned women alive, and made laws against poor people (peasants) from having translated Bibles and books of education in the past.
Who are they to condemn a book for any of us to read? They are certainly in no position to order us and they are most certainly NOT our Creator nor the Savior.
Do not trust those who come in sheep's clothing but are rather ravaging wolves. It has been told of us to be as harmless as doves AND as wise as serpents. For one to be wise, You must research and READ, and educate yourself, AND prove ALL TRUTH. The only one to lead you is The Most High. Pray for insight but don't trust when LIARS tell you NOT to read something but approve of what you “Should”!
It is good that we pray for you, and I do hope you pray for me as well. However, the decision is ours as to whether or not we fully submit to his will.
The Most High wants us to submit to his will through our own decisions. That is why the Messiah says if any man comes to me, let him deny HIMSELF. That is why the word also says to be transformed by the renewing of OUR minds. That’s why it says every man will have to give an account for what he hath done.
It is personal accountability and the sooner we accept this, the closer we will become to actually making the decisions that will make us submit fully to his will
And for those of you who deny the existence of The Most High or don’t take the ancient scriptures seriously, you need to seriously wake up. Biblical prophecy is literally unfolding right before our eyes. This is not a game.
A few notable mentions: Women wearing makeup should repent and change no debate, people who smoke weed (sorcery) should repent and change no debate, people who eat upon the flesh of animals… should reconsider. Everything is going according to prophecy, even ‘they’ have to move accordingly.. Go and sin no more and put in work for the kingdom. He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. 1977's Three's Company was one of my favorite sitcoms growing up, and all of the cast had great comedic timing and charisma with one another. When it came to that show all the members should have been paid, equally or closer in price range. Something how money divides people and so does the nastiness of Hollywood execs. I always wanted to see, Jack and Janet get married cause, I thought they understood each other very well and were compatible. Mr. Roper and Mr. Farley, 🤔hmmm??? Even though I was familiar with Don Knott's as a child, I thought Norman Fell was more of a better fit in Three's Company, Mr. Fell was known as a serious actor most of his career, who knew he had great comedic skills and timing. Mr. Kotts, I loved as a child, but I think he just played Barney Fife as a want-a-be lady's man, which was still hilarious. 😂 A Little trivia: The original Three's Company had 2 pilots in 1976, the first in May of 1976 which starred John Ritter (later named Jack Tripper), Jenny (later Janet) played by Valerie Curtin, Samantha (later Chrissy) played by Suzanne Zenor. I remember seeing this pilot as a child. 2nd pilot Joyce Dewitt replaced Valerie Curtin as Janet Wood and Susan Lanier as Chrissy. Finally, Suzanne Somers would replace Susan Lanier, as Chrissy Snow, in the 3rd pilot in March 15,1977. Those were good times. Peace!

We’re living in end times yall. APTTMH!

The video here said that her husband was her agent so I’m pretty sure he was talking her into asking for so much and she should probably not have listened to him so much.

@Brandy Baker no way. no ritter, no show. 30k in 1980 is 100k today....per episode. john was the star. ted danson made more than kirstie alley, because it was "his" show. joyce & suzanne's level of talent is obviously not at the same level as ritters'. dewitt & sommers disappeared, & ritter starred in "real men" with jim belushi, "problem child", "sling blade" by billy bob thornton, "bad santa", again with billy, the sitcom "8 simple rules..." he grew up in showbiz, his dad was tex ritter, look it up. i feel that you believe the ladies deserved the same pay simply because they have vaginas. they made less than the star, & the star made less than the bosses. a pro sports team may have a salary cap of 80 million$, but the owners make 800 million$.

she deserved every penny plus more. Of the show's profits. It
was a muscle play but it was honest - a true reflection. Of WHO was
bringing the most eyes. To the show. Suzanne just unbelievable, i.e. even
the writers' drawn to her electricity/magnetism.

Joyce Dewitt was far more attractive than any other female on the show and easily steals every scene without trying.

I was about 14 when this show debuted. For me, the classic line-up for the first few seasons was the best, Jack, Janet, Chrissie, and the Ropers. The double entendres in this series were absolutely side-splitting. Knotts was a great comedian, but I think the show was somewhat diminished when the Ropers left. I never saw any of the spin-offs.

Yeah, Mr.
Roper was representing us interacting with Jack, Chrissie, and Janet in that way. Because of course we’d be shaking our head at them and making fun of them etc..
