While I don't think Dragonscale is right for me right now, I just gotta say I really enjoyed this interview! Very informative, very fun, and I must say I like this willingness to let prospective buyers know the 'secret' before they plunk down $400. To anyone wondering how reliable these electronic scales can be, I work in a bookstore and we use a scale to count the cash in our tills each night. That scale can tell exactly how many dollar bills are in any size stack from 1 to well over fifty, AND it can weigh two rolls of quarters and tell you the number of rolls, the denomination, and whether either roll is short. We did have to replace it after using it multiple times every day for about 10 years, but the new one is going strong with over two years of use.
Loving these interviews, thanks so much! Just a heads up your microphone is clipping in the interviews. There should be a way to set the gain so it's not redlining. Gain is too high somewhere. Thanks again!
I use mnemonica and didn’t buy it when it came out because I thought it was a very expensive rip off of a Marksman deck. After watching this I ordered it today! Thanks to you and Erik for shedding some light! It’s going to be awesome with my hearing aids !!
I have a dilemma, I am only getting one for my birthday. It's between Sure Lock, The Nightshade Project, or Dragon Scale. I'm leaning towards giving Dragon Scale another year of development and going with Sure Lock. It is the only one of the three I don't have an alternative for. But wow, Dragon Scale seems like a game changer, but like Erik Tait my first thoughts are but I can a lot of the work without it, but its a totally different story I imagine, putting one to use.
Nightshade Project is the ONLY one in your list that has the most diversity - but it's also the one that requires the most practice and devotion. But if you learn ALL the tricks on NIGHTSHADE those performances will last your entire life
@@magicorthodoxy I want a Sure Lock so bad, but you are right. It'll be sitting and charging, and sitting and charging when the Night Shade Project has the most growth potential. I have a dilemma, the half dollar or dollar version. 😋
G'day mate. I have been saving up for this and have watched your and Eric's reviews multiple times. My only concern was Eric stated he had not picked up or used his DragonScale in 12 months. I know he his a busy man but not using it for that long is a worry considering it's capabilities.
@@magicorthodoxy in your chat with Eric at 21min 50 sec he says he had not touched his for a year or more before Blackpool and re learned on the train from Paris to London. I just found this odd but will not deter from ordering one in the very near future. Thanks for everything mate.
I am glad it's not cheap because I don't want every person on Earth using it lol. I also have Pitata's version which also has pros/pads/bowl/peeker. What I would like to see with Dragon is if Peeksmith3 is added in conjunction {I prefer not to look at my obvious phone during performance}. That would be next level
For those who own Dragon Scale and is an Android User. Which specific Android Smart Watch is able to receive the data transmitted from your Android phone??
@@magicorthodoxy He did mention about apple watch and IPhone. I am an android Oppo phone user. I am aware about the restrictions of Android devices for such Magic Apps. I am just curious to find out what specific Android Smart Watch are Magicians using. In the video, I recalled Erik mentioned that the team are still trying to work out more options for Android users. I believe he is not sure of what's are the available ready options in terms of smartwatch for Android.
So will it just tell you how much weight is sitting on it? Can I use it to weigh out ingredients in the kitchen? Aside from the different genre of tricks, being a multi-use device would make it easier to justify in budget discussions 😏

I'll try to do a few more
Thanks for reviewing this. I did hear that peeksmith will hopefully eventually support this as well.
oh that would be cool
I own this and it is an incredible piece to technology - it truly is a winner. Great content here!

I know, right ????

I dont remember him saying 12 months

"Engage" 😉
Looks really cool, but apart from the red/black info, what can it do that I couldn’t do with just a marked deck and mnemonica?
TRUE, but you won't be as FAST as this ... Erik mentions that in the interview
looking to get one...what is the minimum smart watch required?
that's a question for Penguin
Any Apple Smartwatch. Gear OS coming soon.

I believe Erik mentioned the brand in the review 🤔

At first It seemed like an advanced Hydra and a few other things for card men and the possibilities are becoming mor and more.
ok
Question, David are you using a studio software something like Streamyard?
nope, I am very low tech
Lol, awesome....
But I'll hold off for one that's brass.
like brass metal?
Teaching a robot to do magic? That's crazy :D
🤣🤣🤣
Cool
👍👍👍
Will it weigh up the 'Pro's and Cons' ? ......
🤣🤣🤣

🤣 I don't "think" you can use it for cooking
No android watch support is the only thing stopping me from buying it. Apple watch doesn't connect with Android (i have Samsung galaxy ultra)
Hmmm really?
Reconsidering 😅
So, it's essentially a rip-off of Soul by Wenzi, only it requires a smartphone?
it does not require a smart phone ... you can use a smart watch or an inner ear piece.

Nice but way to much money.
I understand
