Love the show. This is the Best board I ever had, hands down. I bought the 5 10 round tail stock dims. Brett was probably unlucky with the construction regarding weight. Mine could not be lighter, I mean it's crazy light. Doesnt look its going to last long though. I know mine wasnt Made in San Clemente just because of the glassing, doesnt have the mark of inertia. My logos are placed differently. Cheers
Yeah that’s the real question. I get the impression that the driver is gonna be less performance than the pro. Everyone says the pro is for good waves and skilled operators. While the driver is no brain just go
The Driver 3.0 squash is going to be most similar to the Channel Islands 2.Pro. Both boards were created for high-performance surfing in good to average waves, think CT contest waves. They both have a rocker to fit those everyday conditions and have a similar outline. The dim sets are almost identical on most sizes but the CI 2.Pro seems to carry a bit more foam since volumes are a little higher per length. The Driver 3.0 Round and the CI Pro are comparable as well they both have added rocker and are designed for bigger better waves. Hope that helps!
@@REALWatersports How about a Driver 3.0 vs a Pyzel Radius? Is the Driver more versatile, i.e. will work better in flatter or softer waves, or they're very similar?
The same i can say with my Driver 2.0 it's a no brainer. The board does all you ask and when you finish a wave you almost have a smile in your face. Great board and never disappointed me.
Hi, with out a doubt go with the 5 11. I am 5 9 152 lbs. I usually surf with wetsuit. Now that it's pretty cold with wetsuit 4/3, up to chest High punchy waves i am ok. Bigger waves to much of a struggle i grab another board.

How tall and heavy are you? I'm 5' 10.5" and 167.5lbg (76kg) and looking for the driver 3.0 between 5'10" and 5'11". I would prefer 28 liters. Cheers
What is Trip’s favorite performance board? Asking for someone a little older and bigger than Brett.
So the question becomes Driver 3.0 or CI Pro? Or is 2.Pro a better comparison?

Thanks guys for the review!!
Yeah I always wanted to try the driver 2.0 but I guess that will never happen unless I find an used one.
They are still out there. I loved that board looks like the 3.0 has slightly a little less focused up front. I gotta get one.
I love my driver 3.0 it’s a board that doesn’t have any flaws and if you fall you know it’s your surfing fault

Great insights, thanks! 💪Why do you use the driver 3.0 squash for smaller waves and not the stub driver?Wouldn't it be better? Thanks, cheers
You should try the fever by Channel Islands! all the pros seem to ride it great performance board
Am I the only one that’s blown away by Brett’s surfing?!? I mean jeez it almost kinda pisses me off! Keep ripping Brett

What about a Driver 3.0 swallow?
good question... I'd like to try a 5'9" swallow. I enjoy Swallows in softer waves personally.
@@brettbarley Swallows rule. I enjoy swallow in pretty much every conditions. The tail sinks better.
I think you'd have to talk Lost into a custom and that would get pricey. Looks like a good call. Probably an air machine.

That’s big for you. I wear a 4/3 in winter and I still can ride a small board without extra volume
