I went to the site and anything I wanted to buy had SOLD OUT. What does that mean? “Whew, finally glad we got rid of this crap. “ or “We are tired of capitalism. “
600-900cc is the best and sweetest spot for a single bike owner. It has great power and great fun, without all the downsides that come with liter bikes. Any good 600-900cc bike can very well be the endgame bike (or at least the endgame class) for most.
I have a 2006 dr200 and the technology in these bikes blown my mind! I can’t imagine what those bikes rise like. (I’ve only owned a 1973 Kawasaki G5 and the dr200)
My dad just got the new Transalp a couple weeks ago - the first one to come into BC. It’s a really nice little bike. It looks alright, it’s very stable, and it’s got some zip.
Sadly as you mentioned we still can't get my current most wanted European spec. Honda Hornet. Considering the US spec. Transalp has been detuned to 83hp a similar tuned Hornet would lose its main performance advantage over its competition (unless a flash would return the lost HP). Not sure I'm willing to wait another year to find out if Honda decides we're worthy of the Hornet so going to a dealer with all the GSX 8S color options today to take a look!
I've tried both the 750 Hornet and the GSX-8S and I'd pick the Hornet over the 8S any time so make sure to try them. Maybe you'll like the 8S but I found the engine and the quickshifter quite disappointing.
@@therealfakecaptain7978 Thanks for the input! Given a choice I'd buy the Hornet too but I live in the US where the Hornet was not sold in the "23" Honda lineup and it's starting to look like we won't get it this year either. The GSX 8S has gotten excellent reviews and I'm sure I'd be happy with it, I just wish the Hornet was an option here or at least Honda would let us know what their plans are for it in the US market.
Bought the new Street Triple 765 R this summer and could not be happier! (maybe if they offered it in the carnival red like RS, tho the crystal white looks sick in sunlight!)
The red or yellow from the rs would get me to buy it over R but then i would always complain about how not comfy it is to ride xD Against that choice i went with italian design testing mv agussta brutale 800rosso, and ducati monster 937. Took the ducati as mv was great but 2000€/year to insure 🥲 And just to tease me ducati released white model after i bought it. 😑 🤣
Sure but its not a 2023/2024 new model ;) And also, to the muppets thinking its a small beginner bike, FU xD its more competent than an mt09 thanks to the chassis 🥴😅
Interestingly, apart from the colorway, the Transalp looks very similar, albeit updated, to the 1986 model that Charlie Sheen's character rode in "Hot Shots"
So I’ve been watching all of you’re beginner bike content and made a decision on the r7. I get it next week and I’m so excited to hit the street!! I’ve done a whole lot of dirt riding since I was about 9. I have a 2002 rm 125 and ride the piss out of it. 😂. Please tell me papa yam, do you think as a super dirt nerd do you think I made a smart decision for my first street bike??
As a ktm 500 traditional dirt/dual sport/super moto rider making his way over to street. This was helpful to see. And like everyone I’m going to go for a middleweight naked, mostly for the torque figure which will hopefully be closer to my dirt bike. Because I’m special, just like everyone else.
So I’m looking to buy my first bike and I know you’ve made a video about it but people are telling me all different things. I’m 6’2” and 300 pounds and want a sport bike, should I start with 600 with my height and weight or should I start smaller? I’ve heard both things!
Take MSF 600cc should be fine for you given your weight. In line 4 cyls have low torque and the power doesn't come on until higher RPMS. HOWEVER a twin(2cyl) 600cc and below would be a better choice to get you moving off the line. Buy a used one w/ ABS 10k or under milage ride it for a couple months trade for what you want. you can usually come close to what u paid for it. By then you'll know what you want for your next bike, and trust me there will be a NEXT bike!
I-4 maybe too much power for a beginner. I suggest a 500cc twin. Plenty of low end torque for your weight but not powerful enough to catch you off guard. Riding hight is also generally good for taller riders. 300 cc is too small so skip it. Overall I would say a Honda CB 500 series is a good all rounder.
I feel like it comes down to looks when deciding between these two, both are some of the best performing bikes on the market. I'm also deciding between these two, leaning towards the street triple as it's a bit more my style but then again the MT-09 is also a really good looking bike imo.
I don't think the Kawasaki ZX6R belongs on this list as an intermediate rider; the insurance rates precludes most riders from owning this bike. You sort of need many years of riding experience and a proven history of not crashing bikes in order to get even somewhat reasonable insurance rates for the ZX6R.
Hi Yammie and Everyone! I'm from malaysia and would like to know if anyone has any experience or opinions on Benelli 150s I'm a freshgrad and own an old 3rd hand Yamaha Y100 and would like to finally purchase a naked/sport bike I've been looking into the Benelli 150s for a while due to the reasonable price and design but is still unsure as i've never heard of the brand any comments are greatly appreciated!
Yep im getting old, i was thinking about shitting on all the tech used today to make motorcycles easy to ride. I thought that ow "back in my day bikes were just raw power and a steady hand".
Nobody likes Fanta, obviously. Well done, Papa. Another great review of great bikes. Didn’t get to see you on a bike though… Fix it!😁 Love your channel, and can’t decide on a bike. I guess I’ll just have to keep watching!
Buy a 90's bike without all the electronic shit and some storage for a lock and gloves that these modern bikes don't have . Looks are much better too .
Watching super bikes show or videos is satisfying but out of my budget is truly saddening. My budget could only offer around 150 to 200 cc only but atleast all i wanted is around 600 to 900 cc but with all the community riots or ethnic cleansing done by the majoritarian meitei non-christian to our kuki-Zomi community makes our life miserable. Now most of our saving have to be donated for the displaced people of our community whose house, villages were burned down to ashes and family members molested, raped and killed. My dream is to have a super bikes once in my life. But i think luck is not within me. But still i wish I could atleast have Yamaha mt 07 or 09 or xsr 900 or Triumph Trident 660 or Kawasaki z900 once in my life, don't care even if it's already used. My dream bikes!
BMW F900GS is made in china, not a German product, it has a CHiNeSe MoToR . . . supplied by LoNCiN MoToRS . . . may be, other Parts are from Germany, ... I have a Sport-Tourer (Gen 3 Busa), ... a Cruiser (XDiavel), ... a Roadster (Trident-660), ... and now in october, I'll be getting a Scrambler (Triumph 400X), ... so don't really need an Adv, as the scrambler will be close to the Adv in feel/riding etc.

I need to talk to u
Hey yammie what's good bro!
Watching the video while knowing i cant afford any of them
Get a Duke 390. That’s what I did. Fun little machine. Probably the most fun bike you can get for 6k
Same here, my intermediate bike will be the best deal I see for under $2500-$3000 in my area, whether it be an SV650 or Harley-Davidson lol
Same here
@@SuperSpruce i still ride my 700$ yamaha dt 125 😂

Glad the transalp hit the US, just wish I liked the way it looked more. The v strom 800de is to perfect.
Vstrom 800 DE... no cruise control and no tubeless tires
Im so happy with my Tracer 9Gt 2021!
Its quite comfortable, very reliable and lots of fun. But I still regret selling my 2002 Honda CB600S
pure joy, watching your videos.... oh, legendary Fanta story..
Motor companies litereatly slap a round headlight on a bike and call it a retro/neo retro
I love the looks of the GSX-8S, but man I know I shouldn't start my motorcycle journey on that much power since I will be a first time rider

@thomasbouvier3203 true but the zx6 was on the list and it's been around forever
The ending was the best part by far
Interestingly, apart from the colorway, the Transalp looks very similar, albeit updated, to the 1986 model that Charlie Sheen's character rode in "Hot Shots"

Imma need a middleweight parallel twin shootout
Noob... Will you, please, do a comparison video between the new Transalp and the Tenere 700?
No Ducati Scrambler? So much Ducati hate worldwide. That Nightshift is awesome.
looking forward to Yamaha R9. if it does come out if not will be getting MT09sp.
for real, not sure why yamaha hasn't made it yet. everyone wants it, and it'd be much more comparable to the r6 than the r7 is.
Supposedly, it's going to be announced end of November in Japan.

It’s been announced! Sorry I’m very late to the party 😅
Believe it or not the gsx8s is my 2nd current dream bike and the mt09 is the forst

P-Strom 800!
Mt09 at the end

Didn't know you guys don't have the new Cb750 Hornet in the states, that's weird! Why is that?
I have mine, it's my first bike and it's great.
Had to pause the outro it's so hilarious and cringe I fucking love it😂
They sure love and are blown away by the mt07 on this channel. But hate on the gsx8s. Makes no sense.
My 2nd(current) bike is a GSX-R 750. Is that bad?
Wish I could have one love to Yamaha ❤
