    Just leaving this comment here to say that i'm really liking what I see so far for a first attempt! I was pretty critical in my video earlier this week. I'll give me full thoughts after watching the vid
    ~~EDIT~~
    After watching the video fully I can only say way to go! This is definitely a good first crack at covering a topic which I can only believe to be pretty nuanced in melee (My luigi would likely go 1-2 at best and melee isn't my main game of choice). There's definitely love and care put into this, I think anyone can see that from a mile away. If I were playing both fox and falco I would definitely appreciate knowing how interactions are likely to play out in in this matchup since falco lasers are very likely going to be a common occurence in any matchup since falco lasers are very oppressive tools. Being able to cover something like this from both sides is always appreciated for most folk.
    There's alot of informaiton to unpack here but I believe that's fine since this is definitely targetted towards an audience that cares about these little details. The only fault I could really give is that the pace of the video is pretty quick and having some transitions between the important sections would definitely be a boon here, just as a way to reset my mind and let me acknowledge that we're moving onto something else.
    All in all, you knocked this out of the park!
    ~~ SECOND EDIT ~~
    Little tidbit for people in the future too. If you're looking to reach out and find people who like this type of content, the best place to post it is reddit by far. I've got the analytics from all of my videos and twitter just isn't the way to go unless you're a big dog in the community haha

    everybody has been meming sooo hard on your but this is genuinely INCREDIBLE ANALYTICAL CONTENT. idk if you intentionally used the falco lasers in transition frames to “underline” the text, but even if it were unintentional, it was a very cool design choice

    • @VetNovice
      @VetNovice 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They were intentional! Fiction and I talked about how the animations would underline or emphasize his text and thought it was a great strategy to include fun movement and also underline important phrases. ;)

    In summary, the first laser stops Fox, and the second laser prevents him from being able to approach with a running powershield (13 frames startup) unless he CCs the first laser which gives him a frame advantage, but the window is extremely tight (especially given the variability of powershield being a 0-2 frame option)

    My problem with top tiers in melee
    - Falco skips neutral with mindless lasers
    - Marth skips spacing with long range disjoints and ludicrous grab range
    - Fox skips having to kill at high percents with early shine spikes and early up smash/up air kills
    - Sheik skips combos or starting combos because they're pretty much auto combos usually starting with f tilt
    - jigglypuff skips recovery
