Hi! I'm not sure about the exact measurements, but I think 3/4 cups of butter is a stick and a half of butter, while 90g of butter is less than a stick (113 g or 1/2 cup). It should be around 1/3 (i think?) cups of butter instead. Thanks for the recipe though! (❁´◡`❁)
Marlow Anway , tried this recipe u out into cups and it did not turn out the way it had to and just had to throw the whole batter away. wasted an hour trying to fix the batter and couldn’t.

Please spanish people calm down, this is just a recipe for churros, not an authentic spanish churros recipe xD Churros are prepared in different countries, so recipes are different. In my country isn't usual to eat churros with chocolate or cinnamon. We fill them with dulce de leche and sometimes we put powdered sugar on them.

I guess it depends on the recipe, for example the Spanish Churros don't have butter or egg in the dough mix. It's just water, flour, a bit of olive oil and a bit of salt. But the flour must be a strong flour, at 75% strong, it's just to avoid the Churros to explode when you fry them. This is a Petit Choux dough, it's used more commonly in Fritters, Choux Craquelin or Croquembouche. If you try the Spanish recipe you will need a pastry gun, that would be easier than using the pastry bag for this type of dough.

I tried making these and follow exactly what you did. My first attempt was not so good partly because my water and egg was too much. After several attempts, trials and errors I finally got it right although slightly overcooked because it was my first time baking :') Thank you for sharing this!

I tried making churros. The dough after mixing eggs was more gooie and sticky than in this video and i had no piping bag so i emptied out a packet of sugar and filled it with dough and used it as a piping bag lmao needless to say, the shape of churros wasnt anywhere near like in this video but it tasted great!

@@leiannabarrett9820 Thanks but no, that's not what happened. It was very hard (and practically impossible) to mix the egg into the dough. I tried heating the dough again to make it softer so that it would mix, but didn't work. Then i tried using a mixer but that failed too.
@@Zeel_BTS it's rather normal for this type of dough that it's hard to mix the egg in there. i'd say maybe yours was too cold? or try whisking it a bit before streaming it into the dough.

This is the first time I'm making churros without making a fuss (congrats self), though I have yet to cook it tomorrow to see what happens. and my batter I guess lacked flour, cus its too soft, and so I had trouble with frying it, but it's okay, Still delicious and I got the crunchy effect😊 yum!
Sure there is many versions, but the original one comes from spain, more accurately fron Andalucía and at the same time, this originated when the Arabs came to Spain and stay for few centuries. They did very simple & pour a mix of honey and orange flower over. Our version is much more healthy and the one its been shown has more to do with the eclaires, which relates to French cuisine. That said, I love eclaires, and the in the video looks gorgeous!!!

Hello from Spain! Churros has no egg on it. The dough you are doing is more likely to be Petit Choux but not Churros. Churros dough has just water and flour😊
@@wxlurker It makes'em a little bit ritcher and fluffier, and obv a higher protein content. But churros were invented to be a cheap fry- dough dessert. Then the richer french coussine developed a fancy option called Choux Dough.

7btsmembers That’s because the water and the butter conversions are wrong. The water is 1 1/2 cups and the butter is about 6 tbsp or 1/3 cup.

I heard you should let the dough cool first or else the egg will cook in it cuz it's hot. IDK if that's what happened to you but it's a tip

Sure there is many versions, but the original one comes from spain, more accurately fron Andalucía and at the same time, this originated when the Arabs came to Spain and stay for few centuries.
They did very simple & pour a mix of honey and orange flower over.
Our version is much more healthy and the one its been shown has more to do with the eclaires, which relates to French cuisine.
That said, I love eclaires, and the in the video looks gorgeous!!!

Hello from Spain! Churros has no egg on it. The dough you are doing is more likely to be Petit Choux but not Churros. Churros dough has just water and flour😊

@@wxlurker It makes'em a little bit ritcher and fluffier, and obv a higher protein content. But churros were invented to be a cheap fry- dough dessert. Then the richer french coussine developed a fancy option called Choux Dough.
