Not only does the more HP and high RPM seem to help the 5.0 but the fact that it goes thru 5 gears while the GM holds 3rd from 60-100 doesn't help
Whaat did you do to the Chevy?
Dude whipple the f150 already boss your channel will blow up more
I get it…. But you put Shorty at a disadvantage. You had the stock size tires on cheat code and some huge wheels on shorty. That changes the gear ratio a good bit.
No it doesn’t. Tires are about the same size, wheels are only different
GMC make the girls scream 😂
U should of put Chevy in 3rd too.
Truck Norris camshaft 3.73s and a 3000rpm Circle D lockup stall converter and a good computer tune on the older GMC would make a huge difference and still cost less than the newer Coyote F-150 the stock GMC camshaft is good for low rpm torque but runs out of steam by 5000rpm a Chuck Norris camshaft will make way more power 4000rpm up with out lossing much if any low rpm torque and rev to 6600 rpm vs the stock 5700rpm
@@gloriamaletta8667 …and would still get gapped by a tune-only 5.0
@@BC08 it only a 323 cubic inch with one camshaft and 16 valves
@@gloriamaletta8667 🤷♂️ The 5.0 is a 307
@BC08 Ford is the most recalled car company 90,000 just last week
@@BC08 with 4 cams and 32 valves
The Ford has a 3.73 gear ratio. What does Shorty have? 3.23? 3.46?
You got the worst year for the f150 the 2019-2020 is the best for performance 21-23 performance + looks.
That 6.2 trail boss you had was quicker than both these two trucks stock
A stock 5.0 is faster than a 6.2 even when put in a single cab. Bunch of races on TH-cam
@@OleSevers6.2 LT single cabs do 4.7secs 0-60 while a 5.0 Single cab does 5.3Seconds Stop talking without knowing lil budy
@@bigadielldne7234 This very channel has proven the 5.0 truck has an edge on 6.2s even when they are both crew cabs. His blue 5.0 was faster
@@BC08 im not talking abt crew cabs i know its faster by the alluminum body But Single cab to single cab im talking about and the 5.0 coyote is not Hanging with a stock 6.2 singlecab sierra
@@bigadielldne7234 If the 5.0 can pull it out at higher weight it’ll do it at lower weight.
Both trucks go from ~5300 lbs in Crew Cab 4x4 trim to ~4800 lbs in RCSB 4x4 trim
I just need to know how to constantly get new trucks 😫
5.0 is a work truck
there is a weight diff to I believe
Gears , stall and tires for the 2wd
I think gen 5.3 faster than gen 4 one when it come to modified if ask me
Why the 12yrs difference?
So am old Chevy with exhaust and intake vs new 5.0 basically.
Nice trucks
Anyone have information on the genesis 3.8 V6? I want to know if I can turbo my 2010 genesis
Do you keep the 4wd on the entire run? Always wondered
Why not do the in 4wheel? Kinda pointless doing a 2wd dig they all just spin
Shortie….is stock….
No. He added a CAI, long tube headers and some other mods to shortie (the GM). Nothing major but it's not stock.
The Ford work truck is stock
Shortie needs a built 6.0 ls swap
Bro check out jet performance then re tune!
I didn’t realize the gap was that bad against a 5.3
10 year difference, 10 speed vs 6 speed with short gears
How do I use the numbers like when do I go up a gear or down in a automatic
Shorty needs cam, stall and weight reduction to beat the 5.0.
Shortie needs a cam, bigger stall, a custom tune and some gears to compete. Canned tunes you buy online are garbage compared to an actual tune. I know from experience with my slammed 08 5.3. I wouldn’t say it needs boost to compete at all
Dang Cheat code gave Shory a run for it's money. But at the end of the day, I stand by Shorty 💯. I just love that truck. Keep up the great content Chase. Lets goooo.
yoo bro i need you to answer a question for me ... have you ever experienced grinding coming from trans? if you look at my shorts you can hear what im experiencing in my 24 f150
Wait a minute! You're using a modified 5.3 against a Ford 5 liter?? I haven't watched the rest of the video, and screw you,!!
Ford running aluminum body snd block
@@jacobnorth8642 But with heavy frame and suspension. Both trucks are around 4800 lbs
The age difference between the trucks, those silly big tires on the Silverado and 10speed vs 6 speed made me leave this video early ... This video was goofy lol
Damn. Yeah he should go spend more of his own money to give a more fair comparison, I guess. Your comment was goofy

The GMC looked better stock IMO.
The Chevy looks better, but that Ford was running
Syclone and typhoons are still way faster
