I don’t know how interesting this would be, but I have a suggestion for another pokemon mod. What if every enemy pokemon is concealed, so you can’t see it’s sprite, name, or cry? To discern which pokemon it is you have to pay attention to its ability, moves, and stats, and pick your counter accordingly. Pokemon would also have to be randomized, and for fun the pokemon could be revealed when you KO it or when you white out. It sounds fun to me on paper, but I have no idea if this would work in practice
Maybe keep the cry so it's not an absolute hell (plus depending on the generation some of the cries will be the exact same so it's not too much of an advantage)
I am pretty sure that after defeating the Snorlax, you are required to use the item finder in order to get the leftovers which is normally hidden under the Snorlax.

Something interesting I noticed at 14:10 is that Lt. Surge used a super potion on "Voltorb" despite it having more than half it's health. This is a pretty good suggestion, I'd also recommend the enemy level floor increasing by trainer strength. (e.g. Youngster joey would be 1-100, lt surge would be 20-100, lance would be 60-100) Could be a nightmare to implement though

For what it's worth, next time you do a run like this where moves are also randomized, I think AtSign should do you a favor and allow all Pokemon to learn all HMs. That way you can't get softlocked.
