I have had a charge, twice. One was replaced under warranty, the other I chose a discount and bought a Versa 4. The screen was black under all instances. No tap, no nothing. Connected to charger? No. Reboot? Nope... Twice.
If the whole reason we are watching this is that the fitbit screen won't come on checking to see if the fitbit is charging by looking at the screen (which isn't working) is pointless
Just spent 2 hours with Fitbit support;both chat and live call...my 1.3 year old Charge5 has black screen..When I woke up with lines on the screen, and it did record my swim laps this morning and transferred to my phone. Issue is called "black screen" and from what i am reading, not uncommon with this model. Seems there is no fix. Wasted over an hour with their tech support team. They gave up and said watch for an email....they sent me an email with 35% discount on a new Fitbit! Not what I wanted...hate to pay $150 for a new Fitbit again...only to have this possibly happen again. I had the Fitbit 3, Fitbit 4, and now the 5...wanted the swim capability...not sure what I will do now. The new Google version battery not even working a full day...I don't want to "chance" another Charge 5 model after this issue, since they don't have it resolved obviously. I was a proponent of this company...not so hot on them now!
I had this happen with my 2 year old Luxe yesterday. Pressing the charger button doesn’t work, the Fitbit logo appears for a second and then it is black again. I got the 35% off code too. I used it for the Fitbit charge6, because I like the slim look of the Fitbit and don’t want a smart watch. I have hope the charge 6 lasts longer than my beloved luxe.
I will never get those 3 minutes of my life back that I just wasted watching this video. Thanks.
