@@Reegish Yeah, i don't believe you should trust that any person in a positions of power will have any interests in mind other than their own. That said some conspiracies are just too crazy, like i get the government monitors people online and whatever, but why is some dude working a 9 to 5 convinced they care about him specifically, like if i was in power, I wouldn't waste resources on every average joe.

As an ENTP I respect this dude’s attempt to make sense of the world but I lament his gullibility. Mostly I’m happy for him that he finally got to meet some Aliens. Now he can float through space with confidence 😎👍🏼

"That sort of sounds like a real conspiracy." Yep. A lot of people with legitimate concerns may be confused or bad communicators (and the problems can be the cause of bad communication rather than the problems being caused by being a weird person), and they may believe wrong stuff along with their true problems. Doesn't mean you should ignore the real problems.

Its actually more that while digging around in conspiracy theories, one inevitably stumbles upon conspiracy facts.
Problem is that you would be right not to trust the people in power but the issue with that is that a lot of people are very stupid. So the stupid people don't trust the people in power but they're too stupid to figure out what's actually real so they come up with convoluted conspiracy theories to make themselves feel in control..
Which is exactly why we should be promoting that in general you should trust the experts.. Because the experts are generally not stupid and better at figuring out what's real or not then some random idiot with an IQ of 70
My personal experience is that suddenly all conspiracy theories make sense if you read them as (emotional) metaphors.
"Rich people are reptiloids" is nonsense.
"It feels as if most rich people were reptiloids (= smart but heartless individuals)" makes a lot of sense.
"Nazis live on the backside of the moon" makes no sense.
"It feels as if Nazis were living on the moon (= Nazis didn't die out and are a threat today)" makes a lot of sense
"The government is drinking our children's blood" = "They are jeopardising our children's future with their action"
Etc.
I like thinking that all of franks imaginary scenarios are just little stories he creates in his head about questions that just don’t let him sleep

Oh man this had me cracking up!! Especially because these conspiracy people usually have one or two points that you're like, "huh, maybe..." and then they go all flat earth or fake moon landing and it's "nevermind" 😂
Or maybe those are the points to consider out of all they say. I find it ironic that most rational conspiracy theorists are flat earthers yet reject the idea that anything and everything is a conspiracy, and yet “flat earther” has become a term of ridicule for conspiracy theorists who think everything is a conspiracy. Imagine if we called people who trust the government and media “round earthers” even though earth has nothing to do with their gullibility… granted, they’re probably globe earthers too.

The more outlandish conspiracy theories are fun, the realistic ones are depressing because they're either true, but denied, or suspiciously close to being real but being actively denied, which is more suspicious.

Id like to see one where they abduct someone who has fantasized about being abducted all their lives and has overthought it way too much. I used to sorta be a consipiracy theorist. Though when I got older I noticed a lot about how people act and I act. Now I know the government is out to get you. But not in the way of just tricking you. Rather they force you. Veto power. They don't need to trick you.
