That line really hooked me! It’s beautiful
Yes! Not many realize that failure means you don't have the responsibility of maintaining or upholding success. For example, if you win a competition, then you also have to play the part of being a champion. You have to defend your title when challenged. You have a responsibility that is often more heavy than the challenge of attaining that very accomplishment. You know that Spider-Man proverb, "With great power comes great responsibility." That responsibility can become a burden, limiting your freedom.
That is a good line. Makes me try new things and even if i fail it don’t matter because there is freedom in it. Lauren makes a simple lyric very thought provoking. She seems like a very intelligent person.
I’m an absolutely huge bloke with a beard who drives a truck and has tattoos… and Chvrches is the only band that can touch me emotionally deep inside my soul.

How does CHVRCHES always put out what I call "end credit music"? Like, it's all great, but all of it sounds like an end credits theme for whatever media I just enjoyed. It's a weird, cool, feeling.
I'd posit it's because it's a fairly anthemic song? With large rolling melodies and rhythms, and positive sounding chords and tune. Plus the way they build to the chorus. Idk, but I love this kind of music!

Look up.Dream Pop as a genre. It all sounds like end credits. Cocteau Twins started it I think
I love my home of California but this song really captures that fact that not all dreams lead to success. People have come here for centuries chasing dreams and we always hear of those who “made it” but for those who failed, this song perfectly describes that feeling of giving up a lot to chase your dreams which may not come true. But I’ve always got respect for people who try to chase their dreams because at least you tried instead of doing nothing

This group has the talent of the 80's like new order and depeche mode, I'm glad not all the music of this era is lost, the fitst time I listened to Chvrches I fell in love with this band. Keep it up with the great music!!!
That's right, "clearest blue" from Chvrches sounds very similar to "I just can't get enough" from Depeche mode.
This is my most favorite song on the entire album. Album 4 is just amazing!!! It's definitely the perfect dream come true.

Kinda like Grimes' California, it has a negative portrayal of my beloved state, but I love it nonetheless. God bless this mess indeed.
Also this is the third track of the album and I speculate that this is one of their strongest song for this album or a track that the band really likes. (this is my first time listening to this album)

This is my favorite one on the album. I have a story about guardian angels inspired by Chvrches' music... This one makes me picture the main character angel crying, as the human she guarded all her life ages to death. She will outlive her love by centuries.

@@michaelchan7229 cuz it has that dreamy vibe, like in Tether. Lauren herself said Tether has a Twin Peaks vibe, back in 2013. Chromatics played two songs on the third TP season and now that they've split up, I think chvrches is the most suitable band for the show at the moment. Ofc I'm assuming Wisteria is the 4th season of Tp. Heck, I don't even care if it ain't TP related, I just want to see chvrches and Lynch together.
