I love this new direction that Chvrches are going in. It allows Lauren's vocals to really shine through. She normally would have a tendency to have to shout over the music. Very 80's synth. Awesome stuff. Loved every new song so far

As a big fan of hip-hop, this has brought me into a side of pop that I thought I would never discover, the Chvrches are the first pop artists/group that make me want to buy their album. This song is probably the best on the album as well. I absolutely love it.

Thank you, Chvrches, for creating this wonderful song. I have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, which causes me to get frequent flashbacks that occur out of nowhere during periods of stress. Just listening to this helps ground me whenever I start to get the negative intrusive thoughts that come after a flashback. Seriously, great job on this one 😌

I get the impression from reading some of the comments responding to these new tracks, that CHVRCHES have a young fan base who, for the most part, want the band to continue to knock out danceable hits which are instantly likeable. The new stuff seems to be a bit slower and heavier on developing atmosphere. They're not as immediate as some of their past hits and you have to listen to them a few times to start appreciating them. I have a feeling that the new album won't be as 'bouncy' as the last one, but that's fine because CHVRCHES steer very close to being as bouncy as an over-enthusiastic puppy sometimes and so slowing the pace is a refreshing development for the band.
Nothing feels better than getting an ultimate passing and having the song drop here 3:34 right as i finish in 1st place. The song plays out as i go through my rewards and skill gain.. the song fades out.... bliss

I was right in saying they have matured in their sound and lyrics. I think all those people who are saying they are now just 'generic pop' is an excessive statement. Believe me the first two albums are so great but bands have to go in a different direction. Please give this album a chance don't judge them on their singles as for chvrches keep on rocking guys!!
Oh my goodness, their lyrics have always been mediocre at best. The vocal style and the slight creativity in the musical aspects of the song are what set them apart for everyone. Vocal style is still there, the creativity is a little less but oh my gosh, they weren't far from "mainstream" before. Why do people think this?

I was right in saying they have matured in their sound and lyrics. I think all those people who are saying they are now just 'generic pop' is an excessive statement. Believe me the first two albums are so great but bands have to go in a different direction. Please give this album a chance don't judge them on their singles as for chvrches keep on rocking guys!!

They most definitely have not matured in their lyrics. I like the song, but the writing seems very dumbed down.
Oh my goodness, their lyrics have always been mediocre at best. The vocal style and the slight creativity in the musical aspects of the song are what set them apart for everyone. Vocal style is still there, the creativity is a little less but oh my gosh, they weren't far from "mainstream" before. Why do people think this?
