Holster on my belt that carries my calculator, two pens, a mechanicals pencil, and a small scaled straightedge. At a job site I was asked once if I carry a gun there. My response to the contractor was that I like the way he thinks.
I use the breast pocket of the jacket or blazer. If I don’t wear a jacket I use a pouch and a sling bag. Never the trousers’ pockets, I lost my oldest pen (a Pelikan M400) this way.
I have pouches which I always keep my pens in. They go into the pockets of my backpack. I'm working on getting myself a desk at home for working and writing. I'll set out a nice one for daily use there once we get that negotiated...
Depends on the day. I have a pressurized ballpoint in a bag and in car for the cold and wet. A mini gel or ballpoint pen either in shirt pocket or one of shorts/pants pockets. Full-sized gel pen for formal documents. Mini ballpoint in SAK if carrying aforementioned bag. A cheap red ink pen to troll scriptomanics who always want to "borrow" a pen.
And don't forget to carry a ballpoint with you because there is always someone that wants to borrow your fancy writing instrument....over my dead body!! They may borrow my fancy ballpoint 😊
I have to say something concerning the feeling I have watching the videos shot at your boutique. The atmosphere and the background are amazingly stunning. Wooden furniture is perfect, the difference in the warmth of the lights gives me a relaxing feeling. The very best is the way you dress... it completes the place and gives the videos shot at Style of Zug such a relaxing and enjoyable watching experience. Thank you for your job and dedication Samuel.
I carry my Mont Blanc 146 and Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age in individual pen pouches in my inside pocket. I love the flair of taking them out of the pocket and opening up the pouch when I’m going to write. It shows I’m serious about what I’m going to do.
I always pay a bit extra and add a pocket to my shirts. At the office, the jacket is often taken off, so a shirt pocket keeps the pen with me. The size of the pocket is based on a 149.
I've tried each way you mention -- plus the Kaweco in the pants pocket, and simply the shirt pocket. Oh, and, also inside the shirt from the collar of my undershirt. You show very nice cases and notebooks!
Great advise, Samuel. I find the Montblanc pouches beautiful, but also extremely expensive. Galen is a very elegant and affordable alternative. They even have a pouch for the montblanc baby and the kaweko liliput, which are quite small.
I used to carry my 1 pen setup either on my poloat the top button or in my hoodie at similar height. Won't wanna risk it with FP so now if I have one on me it's chilling in my equalite messengerbag or in a small notebook case from kokuyo (fits 5-8 pens and has magnetized flap for in notebook placement)
I used to do Naldi style when I would wear a shirt without a chest pocket (which I have only ever bought by mistake as it never occurs to me that a shirt might not have a pocket), but it's too insecure. I'm always either in the inside jacket pocket or shirt chest pocket, though I do have one in a Pineider single pen case in my briefcase at all times with blue ink.
My pen is always clipped in my right pants pocket. I don’t always wear a jacket at work this way if I am dressed more casual or out in shorts I will always have a fine writing instruments
Do you use a permanent ink in the 149 if you’re signing a check with it? I’m just getting started collecting fountain pens. I noticed with water based ink if it gets wet ( a drop of condensation dripped on my notebook page) totally smears.
@@JoeGiz64 I always use montblanc mystery black ink in my 149 pen, my 149 pen is fine nib so it can write on almost any type of paper, I personally use rhodia notebook
Muchas gracias Samuel por tus entretenidos y divulgativos vídeos. (creo que no me he perdido ninguno).
Love your video again. I often carry a pen with me since I was a kid - ballpoints obviously. For fountain pens, I started to carry them constantly since 2020 when I have regained my passion wz them. So I clip it on my shirt just behind the knot, so that people can see it too! Otherwise, shirt pocket is my first choice, then the jacket inside pocket. And I carry the ballpoint in the same set, or similar style, wohahaha… One secret, if I don’t have any dress for a pen, I insert a mini ballpoint/now is usually Kaweco Liliput fountain pen, wohahaha… my beloved wife says I am insane, but she likes it, wohahaha…. Thx for sharing.
Honastly keeping the pen in a single pouch and taking it out to use it is a tedious process and looks horrible. The best way is to just keep it in the inside pocket of the jacket, it is a powerful gesture, convenient, and keeps the pen safe. If you are not wearing a jacket then a shirt pocket works but definately not clipped onto the shit placket (looks bad). I absolutely agree with the don't carry it part, many people have a habit of carying their pens everywhere but the truth is that they don't get it even use it. Love the content Samuel :)
Pen in the outer jacket pocket is a no - no for me. It's the place for a pocket square. .. taking out my mont blanc from the inner pen pocket of the jacket and unscrewing it makes a statement.
I treat me pens as best friends of jewel quality and that means proper housing. The King of pen is not left exposed, when not writing with it goes back to its Taccia red, black and gilded pen pouch, those few not in rotation go back to their original jewel box, and the work horses lie perched on my desk in a Bernardaud pen tray. When going out my silver and gilded pen is placed in a pen case, I leave nothing to chance.
Way number 4, I tried a few times before, but I always worried my pen getting missing. In the end, now i only carry if i wear a shirt with shirt pocket 😂😂
I carry my pen on a silk velvet cushion, with a man waving a red flag clearing a path for us calling out “make way, make way”. I might have just dreamt it, but I don’t think so.
Which ways do you use to carry around your Writing Instrument?

Exactly what I have been doing. Good job. Never lend out the fountain pen👏
I always have a cheap Uni Jetstream in my bag if anyone needs to lend a pen. I really don't mind if they walk off with it.
😂😂😂 True
Most definitely.

Great video! In the home office only for certain pens.
If I'm taking it with me, then either the inside jacket pocket or a pen pouch!
Very cool 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Yep that would be awesome

My Kaweco AL Sport is now in the pocket of my trousers🤣
That works tooooo
I have my Bic biro in my shirt pocket - but it does slide about and get in the way a bit.
I always keep an Ohto Tasche in my wallet. I love that little pen, super lovely smooth nib.

what is the brown one in the thumbnail?
Unfortunately that is the case that only comes with the designC

Video fantastico. Ciao Samuel.
Grazie mille! 🙏🏼
Can't use outside breast pocket, I always have a pocket square in it.
That’s good too! 👏🏼
If my jacket has a pen pocket in it …. that’s where it goes…!
Perfect
😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The outside jacket pocket is very much a sartorial no-no. the ***ONLY*** thing that should go in a pocket is a pocket square
I carry mine in my bag in a pen pouch and NEVER loan them out. I only use mine at home, or in the office.
Thanks for sharing Thomas

This solves everything 😂
Too easy to lose an expensive pen; better to keep it at home or in the office
Franklin Christoph p[en cases all the way. Or an Ian Schon compact pen that has never leaked kept in my pocket.
Thanks for sharing!
A backpack ..... hmmmm like a school boy?
If you think i look like a school boy then yes… like a school boy
@SamuelNaldi the briefcase suits your more, mate
This is one way to feel poor 🤣 those bags and pens all looked very nice

or maybe you are? 😃
