To fill a pen from a bottle, you should dip the nib into the ink all the way and then twist the converter. The ink is sucked up through the square-shaped breathing hole in the feeder. If the nib is not completely dipped, the ink will not be sucked in. This works not only with Lamy pens, but also with any other fountain pen.
Should add that for the safari, i find that the pen only really fills if you submerge it up to the vent/hole which is near the grip section. It's like a square hole on the feed. If that hole is in the ink it will fill. I think I kept trying to fill the same way because I didn't want to make a mess! 😅🤣 But it looks like you're enjoying the pen which is nice. 😆
Something that I just learned is that you can get little particles in your pen right from the factory. Next time, you might want to consider rinsing it and letting it dry for a few hours. You might not have as much trouble
Can you make a video on the use of this ink with the Lamy converter and its maintenance? How often do you need to clean up? How much ink to avoid the risk of throwing it away?
I wish u at least a semi-decent pen. U deserve something reasonable if u draw often. U can use this for mixed media projects whenu tend to fck up ur tools, but. The lamy nibs are okay, but they feel like a joke compared to even faber castell nibs. I can only recommend the later though
its probably an interessting video, but something fooled, because the titel is my language and not in the original. so excuse, that i downvoted and left after few seconds.
I’ve just purchased this fountain pen on Amazon left handed however a different color. Can’t wait to try it out because other fountain pens I’ve tried the ink never flowed.🥲🤞🏾

Thanks for the information.
Thanks 😊
I have one of these. Writes amazingly well right out of the box for this price point.
To completely fill the ink cartridge, you must repeat the filling process 2 or 3 times. each time a little more ink is drawn up.

The first time was a little tough filling the pen. Right now I always go the easy way, which is to dip the pen in the ink.
