Best part about this manuver... is she essentially knew how long it'd take for the PDC rounds to get to where the target was, and used the torpedo's + the rail-gun shot to 'push' the other ship directly into the fire of the PDC's
I love her thought process in the book where she’s calculating it in her head and she’s checking the times to target. Torpedos, okay, PDCs, okay railgun… woah rail guns are fast LOL
LMAO I love how when the ship do the 360 spin everyone’s reactions it’s like they’re feeling the Gs! I read the book before this scene and when I first saw it on the show, I flinched the same way haha
This is probably true. There's no way even a very skilled human operator would be able to accurately aim such a shot without aid, considering that there are kilometres between the ships. It would be simple for a computer to take the shot at the correct time, but it's also trivial to dodge if you see the maneuver - it's physically possible, but tactically unreliable. I don't think it was down to Bobbie having superior skill in gunnery, but simply that she had a novel tactical approach. She's not the sort of person to describe what she was planning so Holden could do it, even if it was feasible for a single operator to coordinate the movement of the ship as well as three weapons control systems at the same time. The tactical approach was to assume the pilot would follow the same pattern of dodging, and therefore use the primary weapons (the railgun and torpedoes) for diversionary attacks, having pre-fired a salvo of PDC rounds in the anticipated location of the Pella. The travel time of the PDCs at that range would likely cause the pilot of the Pella to disregard them as a potential threat.
Hey ! Inaros , you might have a 5 to 1 Missile advantage , but , They have a G U N N E R Y Sergeant Roberta Draper in their Load Out Manifest . Surrender Now , before shit gets NASTY . 😆😅🤣😂🙃 .
Gotta say. One of the best and smartest space engagements ever put to film.
Well this proves I can watch this sequence over and over and not get tired of it. I like all these reactors as well! Nice video.

Watching the Pella get absolutely riddled from stem to stern never gets old.
like a good old fashioned 18th/19th century raking fire, but in space. I dig it

I love the universal reaction to each story beat, how they ramp up the intensity. peak media.
every time the Rocci spun and fired that rail gun......my my...
i just read that battle in the book, right 20 minutes ago. next thing i know, youtube is recommending this video. Probably a coincidence, right. RIGHT?
huehuehue
Realistic space battles... you watch a graphic of missles flying clicks and hit or get destroyed... so booring.
The Expanse: Challenge accepted !
This is so better than any movie that just throws ten thousand ships at each other and has them slug it out. (glares at The Last Jedi)
8:08 very interesting pencil eraser...
the actual battle video's are gone from youtube?
Holden has AIM ASSIST enabled...

The roci does the calculations, we just tell her what we want.

yep, it was the quality of the pilot/gunner, not the quantity of ships that decided the battle
@@vinsanity40k . I know . Tachi/Rosinante was a GOOD little Boat , but , USING her the Right Way was the REAL trick .
Man, the actual Batlle Video is gone and now it's just a reaction vid. What gives?
