James resigning wasn’t in the book. They gave it to Drummer right off the bat. But this was just SO James and absolutely hilarious. 😂😂😂😂

Also Holden becoming smart enough to fool fucking Avasserala makes a lot of sense if where his character goes in books 7 and 8, shit, in book 8 he is basically the new Avasserala.

She was pissed at him for that move, but I think she respects it.

Those who might say that a "Transport Union" doesn't sound like much to shape the future of mankind across the solar system and beyond, should be aware that the European Union started as a "Coal and Steel community". The transport Union with the belters as equal members might very well be the foundation for mankind recognizing itself as a "solar system nation", rather than three "nations", that just don't fight each other for now.

Everyone sure is happy, even though this is a horrible decision that completely undermines everything the show was building towards. After the fallout of the Free Navy the Belt is the strongest faction left in the system, they have rightful control over all their territory which means they have full control over all of the remaining mineral resources and the majority of the grown food supplies in the solar system, they are the dominant power, with both Earth and Mars are reliant on trading and dealing with them in order to survive. The Trade union being neutral was good because it meant the Belt couldn't have a monopoly on all resources and all would be treated fairly and no faction controlled all of the resources, but now with the Belt in charge of the Transit Union you've given them a total monopoly on resources. Meaning the Belt is now the one in a position to control the flow of supplies to the Inner Planets and could starve and control them in the same way they used to do to the Belt. This is not a good thing and will inevitably lead to another terrible and costly war between the inner plants and the Belt. Terrible ending.

Read Persepolis Rising. It turns out very differently. The transport union turns out to be very responsible and keeps ships from disappearing in the gates.

Except the Trade Union is still independant, it just has a belter (not the belt itself) leading it. The whole point of the show was people need to work together, and even Holden's speech at the end was about that, if they have to keep asking Holden to be the responsible adult in the room, then none of the factions had learned anything.

@@gwilym1991 I love Camina but she is not impartial, she is heavily biased in favour of the Belt and openly dislikes inners, something the show never addresses and is a terrible choice for the leader of fair and neutral transport union, especially since the impression we get from the negotiations between the factions is that she is the defacto leader of the Belt.

She gave her word. The belt will treat Earth with respect. They will have their niche in the future just as the belt will have its niche. Why worry about Drummer? She gave her word.

How is the belt left as the strongest faction in the system? Almost all of the warships were either part of the free navy or Drummer's fleet and both were decimated. The inner fleets were the only ones that came out on top with large numbers of ships and more being built. Sure, earth is hurting and in the middle of an ecological disaster, but that won't stop them from building ships.
