Sorry for the late response. However, this transmission is saturn's experiment. You may find it at a junk yard. However, this vehicle I would get rid of and get one that does not have this transmission in it. The parts are hard to find for rebuilding and repairing this unit at the moment.
need help 2003 vue cvt trans put in a master rebuild kit all new parts have reverse but no forward lift car off the ground and it works fine you can feel it go though the gears
+mark aeichele This transmission is time consuming and expensive to troubleshoot at the moment, especially for someone who may not have spare good parts laying around. First, When you had it apart, tell me everything that you did to it, EVERYTHING.
These cvt and most cvt has a problem of building static in the transmission it builds up static in the fluid which builds up and breaks down the fluids causes trans to have a roaring sound change fluid and put anti static fluid in trans drive until it starts again and repeat don't let it go to long
I think I might be having that noise. I have a video on my channel that has some kind of noise. When I drive I get a loud noise. If you can take a look for me please and tell me that's what I need to do
The information I gathered is a CVT is a terrible transmission to the point to where there was a class action lawsuit over these Transmissions people were putting two and three of them in a year because of constant failure

This transmission has an input shaft with I believe 3 orange rings on it. Did you check the sealing area of the three rings? The input shaft likes to put grooves in the sealing area. I believe the sealing area is the inside of the stator. If the area is grooved, than it will cut the sealing rings.

Good morning. Thank you for video. I watched them all and repaired my 2004 saturn vue vt25e transmission. I bought new parts on ebay and changed all the inside. I drove around 500 miles, it was perfect. After that the strange thing started happening. I start the car cold, drive about 10 to 15 miles at different speeds and suddenly the rpm goes too high, engine doesn't stop but it doesn't push the vehicle. I guess the car goes into limp mode. Could you advise me what causes that behavior? I like my car and want to fix it after all. Thank you in advance!
questioning3 the surface of drive pulley section was bad, inside surface was damaged, piston was just gone. Forward clutches were burned. Car was making a whissing noise and did not accelerate more than 30 mph. 6mm balls were practically gone. I changed the drive pulley(modified with drill bits). Change the belt. Checked the new piston with air to make sure it is tight. Changed clutches( I mean the friction plates). Changed the filter and oil. If you can answer to my email: agregoryan@att.net Thank you.
I found a 2003 Vue that shifts hard and still goes through all the gears but there is a lot of noise coming from the transmission. i have rebuilt an automatic transmission in a 2000 Nissan Xterra so I'm not scared of it. I'm thinking a bearing came apart. since i can pick up the whole car for 400 bucks i figure its worth cracking open the case and finding out whats wrong. was wondering if i could ask your advice on the best place for parts because I'm sure its going to need it
Hey Mr @questioning3 thanks for the video series, you have helped me successfully rebuild 2 Saturn vue CVT transmissions. Both transmissions took me multiple tries with different part configurations, it was tough because these parts were coming from two used transmission, that i pulled from a junkyard. Anyways I'm onto my third transmission rebuilt and can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. It seems to only have pressure for about 30 seconds forward and reverse will work. No longer then 30 seconds I loose all line pressure. But I have taking this transmission apart a 3 times and do not see anything wrong with it and also I have a new rebuilt tourq converter. I have tried two different pumps, but maybe I should try 3? Thanks for reading this let me know what you think and if I can answer any questions to help

+Matthew Becker The first thing to do is to do pressure test to make sure that the pressure is low. Also, make sure that the orings on the covers are there. The forward and reverse pistons will look good a be bad. They are rubber molded. I had a bad forward piston that was bad that did the same thing. Also, check the surfaces where the needle bearings ride. If the needles were damaged before, then the surface will not seal.

No the seal wasn't cut that rides on that drum, just scared up a little.. Like you said I think the forward or reverse pistons are bad. It took me some time to get everything apart and take out the piston but it really does seem bad. Let me know what you think! The car would work and have pressure at the pressure port for only 30 to 45 seconds and then loose pressure and car would stop moving like it is in neutral. I have gone through 6 brand new from GM trans on a 2006 Vue in the last 2 years thank God GM have been warranting them. The origanl trans last 100,000 but the new one are only lasting 3000-5000 miles.

+xavier carrion put the car on four jack stands. Get under the car and there is a bolt in the transmission. There is a bolt inside of a big bolt. Take the little screw out while the vehicle is at idle. If fluid comes out, it is full. If fluid does not come out, it is not full so add some more until the fluid starts to run out. Once it runs out, it is full.
a 2009 Saturn vue has a different transmission. You have to check to see what transmission is in the vehicle by calling the dealership parts department. If you have a 6t70/75 transmission, the computer will be in the transmission itself.
quick question. What do you think about the Valvoline CVT fluid. I have been tryin to use this on my rebuild couple of times with no success. Do you think this maybe my problem? I do not know about the fluid. I use amalie fluid. But any approved cvt fluid will work. I had a similar problem. The forward rubber molded piston was not holding. To check the forward piston and the reverse piston the transmission have to come out to air check it. You could try changing the valvebody. This you can do while the transmission is still in the vehicle.

Saturn Vue 2004 or 2006... Only shifts into 3rd and 4th gears. While in gear, I can swing the shift handle all the way to the left and right. Started out as just being hard to get it into 1st gear. Question, is it the linkage, or something else??? HELP!!!!!

Yes, however I don't think the class action lawsuit punished the makers enough because they are still making them.
Mine sounds like a bad bearing is inside? I confirmed the noise was from the transmission
There is a bearing that goes bad in these transmissions. It is a needle bearing

Most saturn vues are in the salvage yard because the transmission is bad.
I paid 4k for a mechanic to fix my transmission he can’t figure it out. And looks like other shops won’t take on the job. It’s code P1809 & p1808
This transmission has been discontinued. Parts are hard to find, as a result, shops do not want to fix this unit. It is hard to warranty it.
