- Well folks we did it again! You would think after our Yukon Delta Houseboat purchase we would know how NOT to buy another surprise rebuild project. But we fell in love with the good old bones of this boat.
This is a great pontoon rebuild.

Nice job. I have a 30 ft Party Hut. Roof leaked. Tracker ( clowns) used lag screws to hold railing on. No sealant. All leaked. I stripped old roofing off and glued down commercial rubber roofing membrane. I left 4 inches extra sticking out all around . No roof penetration at all.Pulled membrane down all around for instant drip edge. Indoor outdoor carpet on top keeps sun off of black membrane roofing. zero leaks. No place for it to leak.
This brings back do many memories, I used to work for Homesteader building the Aqua Chalet's. I did a mix of interior work, trim, cabinets, doors. When you were taking it apart the memories cave flooding in
Thank you for your great work...It was built really well.
Nice video. Great to see your father-son project come together
Wanted to do this for years. Am retired now so looks like a great project! Best wishes from Perth Ontario- home of the Tay river and Rideau Lakes!
Thank you Perth!
Looking really good👀
Nice job 👍
Great job!
Nice one new boat full video upload fully loaded comple
How long was the pontoon boat and how much white do you have on it
👍
What glen l plan were you using when framing this boat?
We used the houseboat cabin plans and modified them to meet our boat.
We are having a lot of problems with the roof soffit rotting. We pull out in March and if we have to redo it we’re thinking of installing a roof drip edge around it. It’s 55 feet long and 24 feet wide so it will be a huge job we are not looking forward to since we are 63 and 58 and do all the work ourselves with the exception of the pontoons and the outdrive. We will see....your job looks very good, excellent work!

Could you notice the extra weight on the pontoons using all of that wood? I’m just starting my build from scratch and I’m concerned how much weight it will hold.
No difference... Glen-L has plans for cabins you can use on a pontoon boats. They show how to build light. We used these plans for the basic build. We did not use metal side walls. Also the wood we used was very light and made strong by how it was built.
nice job what material did you use to frame the walls ?
3/8 plywood covered with epoxy
Great job I’m Re-doing a houseboat exactly like the one you started with I was wondering if you still have the original windows? They are very hard to find. I don’t know yet but I hope I don’t have to do a complete rebuild like you did but this was an excellent demonstration if I do.
No I do not. That is why we replaced them
Backyard Boatbuilders ok thanks the hunt goes on. Great job on your boat:)
2x2 framing?
Yes
Gave you something to do
FWIW and I imagine not much . . . . I love to watch your builds and rebuilds but I HATE your music selections ! Could ya maybe find something with a little more listening appeal ? You know , Johnny Horton , Areosmith , Zappa or the Who , even Hank Jr. will do ! Got any Merl ?
turn your sound off and do the CC ,
@@Tewrobert49 Correct, music is in the ear of the listener...
