Honestly the other reviewers are bashing on it too much. Like ok so what they didn't update the pencil port, that's why the price is cheaper compared to the other models. For me using the 1st gen is still an enjoyable experience. It's not like they took that part out and the ipad itself performs really well!

The last iPad I bought was an iPad Air 2 in 2014. And I'm still writing this comment on it, because my main purpose of it's existence was watching TH-cam and Netflix. Sometimes some web browsing and professionally I used it for Teams calls and also for apps for live sound mixing consoles like A&H dLive or SQ. I did not need anything else, and I would continue to use it if the battery would not become unreliable. My brother bought an iPad Air with the M1 chip and I loved it but could not justify the price on such low usage and since I know I won't use the Apple Pencil at all the 10th gen is perfect for my upgrade as it looks the same as the Air (which I love the look over the 9th gen by a huge mile) and the camera in the middle is a big deal for me for the Teams meetings as I will look more naturally. So yeah I do get it in the year by year comparison it's a weird device, but for me it just ticks every single thing for a lower price than the Air. Keep in mind I used the 2014 till now with no issues for my usage so even if I get 6 years out of the 10th gen that's ok for me. So IMO there is a market for this product. I know I will enjoy it! And I also got the blue it looks sick! Can't wait for it to arrive tomorrow! Peace!

I currently work with patient’s all day along with going to Nursing school and this IPad is very useful for this1 I purchased a Bluetooth keyboard and this unlocked tons of possibility this IPad has. After upgrading from an IPad 6th Gen i am very happy with this new IPad!

Personally I think the apple pencil problem is not that big of a problem because it was already dangerous to have the pencil hanging from the charging port and the apple pencil lasts around 3 days before you need to charge it again, you can also just get a case that holds your apple pencil for you if you care that much.
I still do believe that an iPad Air 4 ist the better option. It has the identical design, the same chip, same store options, the better display and it’s often time in the same price range. The benefits of the Air 4, that you can use the second gen Apple Pencil and the laminated display
I’ve never owned an iPad. If I were to purchase one it would most likely be the newer model. I would only use it to watch movies while out on the road. Then again my phone already does that so….

This is the configuration of 10th... Its no issue /fault.. When u horizontally hold the pad then sounds only come from lower zone so dont block that!
