Maybe removing the increasing tile cost was a good decicion because while the ways to obtain tiles become much faster, the amount of tiles needed to do worthwhile stuff increases even more.

If you need nature runes go to the BKQ fairy ring and kill the tree spirits. They have 4 different nature rune drops and the 22 nature rune drop is ~1/4. They also drop a rune axe so that could also be an axe upgrade.
For anyone doing Biohazard: you've been able to teleport with the vials since Song of the Elves came out. They removed the vials breaking because apparently it was too hard for the average OSRS dev to do.

If anyone is wondering why his tiles disappeared when he killed the unicorn, it is in fact a different room that mirrors the previous one in rs3 the entire room is actually 30 tiles to the right of the previous one and is completely visible with certain camera settings. I assume for osrs the scenes are swapped during the cutscene.
For anyone doing the underground pass, when you're up to the part where you have to find your path you stand on the tile after you jump over the rocks, click the lever and open a skilling tab interface and you'll run over the traps without falling down as the skill interface has a higher priority than falling down. Edit: Nvm Jagex seem to have patched this.
Oh that sucks then, I don't think it was on release of SOTE though, I did this method on my GIM. You might be mixing it up with the change to fail rates of jumping the gaps in the main room in the underground pass which I believe was changed for SOTE.

They changed the chemicals, you can teleport with them now.
When they added sote and made the underground pass instanced, they made the obstacles a lot easier to pass at low levels. It's not that bad anymore

This has been patched. Found out the hard way. I believe they removed these glitches when they released Song of the Elves.
