Brilliant - I am sick & tired of attending HR interviews whom I need to explain the position description to them. Anyone can purge rehearsed answers but these replies are what I would expect to hear if I was the Interviewer. FYI I have been a CFO so understand these scenarios but we all answer differently.
Hey bill, I wanted to say thank you. I asked you for some advice on one of your videos about a year ago and I used your advice and just got my first big 4 internship! Thanks for the channel and all the advice🙏
I am a french CPA (Expert-comptable) and i really like your channel : i learn a lot about the job in Usa and sometimes find commun points between our activities on both sides of Atlantic. Thank you for this great job !

Thanks for the great information! I have an interview for an Accounting Manager position at a non profit golf course tomorrow. Are there any other questions that specifically pertain to non profits that I should consider or it doesn't really matter. Thanks!

Hi Bill, thank you for your hard work an all incredible insights that you share with the community! I enjoy your videos and always recommend them to my co-workers and employees. Interested to know your opinion - what do you think the best position in a company would be for someone who has extensive background in controllership at private companies and is also passionate about NetSuite, automation, and systems in general (with experience as well)?
I would say a controller role. But if you really like automation, get yourself a Netsuite certification and an Automation Pro certificate with Workato or similar and become a Financial System Manager/director

So how can I get from senior accountant to a accounting manager? This is assuming that I am never involved with hiring anyone or managing a big team.
Many times this is done via moving jobs or you can ask your employer to hire someone under you if possible
