    • @grilz12
      @grilz12 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

kevin bailey because the vacuum helps tremendously in getting the epoxy to spread into the fiber evenly and helps the fiber conform to the mold ! also leaves a smooth finish rather trying to brush it on and sand it down etc over and over again. some parts just can’t be done without a vac bag !

    Good video
If I may make a suggestion. Make your flanges wider, take more time to make them more smooth. Also make your mold more robust, more bulk up of course. Good job though

      Hello, Buddy!
It can't use the original as a mold.
Using the original as a mold may damage the original.
If It use the original as a mold, the faces are reversed. And It can't make it the same size as the original.
If it use the original as a mold, the product becomes a little small.
Finally I wanted to show you how to make a simple mold.

ATTENTION ( If you aren't wont be a new patient in hospital)
1-While you cutting carbon fiber cloth and fiber glass you must use mask for be protect from particles of carbon
2- Measure your parts and cut just right.
3-Before cut the carbon paste double sided tape on your cut line and cut the tape by dividing it in half.
4-Use PVA foil for in place of the blue film.( PVA foil is have two side ; bright and mat. You can use it however you want.)
5-Certainly, you must use a ventilation while working with carbon fiber.

      Hello, Buddy!
You cannot use the original parts as mold.
If the original parts are used as a mold, they will have the opposite shape.
Also, the size is a little smaller.
      I hope you helpful.

I used a vacuum bag for clothes.
You will find a vacuum bag for in your country.
I like to use ingredients that are readily available around me.

With your method is the vacum bag consumeable or reusable

    • @ECOLAPStudio
      @ECOLAPStudio  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, Buddy!
It could reuse the vacuum bag the way I use it.
However, the number of times is not high.
I think it is probably 1-2 times.
I use a new vacuum bag whenever possible.
It is good for maintaining vacuum.
