Bought a Twin Power 2500 yesterday and expect a solid flawless complement to my light weight Vanford. Will know after Christmas and next seasson. Great video 🤘
Where did you buy urs from ?
I don't think spool is just a spool. "Shimano's ARC spool is a patented spool design with an angled spool lip, the design allows the line to leave the spool with reduced friction and in smaller coils which enables longer and more accurate casts"
Shimano Twin Power FE 3000XG
I too prefer the core solid reels for all around fishing , but still love the ci4 reels for artificial use.
This New Twin Power Fe has made shimano shoot themselves in the foot imo. This reel is so on par with stella that a person honestly dont need to go to that level of reel anymore. ( Unless they want to of course )
The fin under the line roller is only really for mono and fluorocarbon anglers. Haven't noticed much of a difference with fin and without the fin using braid.
I also changed out the washers out for straight carbonfiber ones. Cant stand the felt or the " duracross " they dont last worth a crap
How do you think this stacks up against the new Certate?
Thanks for the info. I also think it’s important to compare where it’s actually better than the Stradic FM which also has Infinity drive and Cross, dura cross drag, anti twist fin that was also added
fire video btw
Thanks!
Metal bodied reels will simply feel tighter and more rigid than their ci4/carbon counterpart. In my opinion, they are superior reels unless your doing ultralight fishing. Daiwa incorporates magnesium very well into reels like the exist and airity. I currently have a vanford and I'm sick of the full ci4 body which has no torque or rigidity, will be buying this FE very soon.
Does the twin power FE have the same gear as the Stella?
Can i put on this 2500,2500s drum?
Very nice reel. I bought a daiwa j braid 8x grand 25lbs. I tested it right out of the box on the scale but it brakes for 10lbs. Why do you think this happens?
Not sure. I have never personally had issues with j braid grande breaking easier than the weight rating
Try suffix 832 with gore fiber

The 21’ Twin Power is a SW.
The 24’ says FE. Is this for saltwater?
Also 24’ is like $100 cheaper than 21’. Why?
Really all of the twin powers are made for salt water. The XD, FD, SW, and FE.
@@CrankinWithChristian
Yeah and that’s why it’s confusing. When there is a “SW” model, One would that’s the only one that’s saltwater, and the others are not.
@@Unplugged704 technically all model twin power are made for salt still. If you watch the twin power videos shimano puts out, they’re all for salt water fishing, but they just make them in sizes good for everything, hence the 3k-5k size. Now a days, almost all shimano@: over the $200 price point have the technology in them to be sealed for salt use too
@@CrankinWithChristianThanks
I want to buy a my first Twin Power. I actually wanted to get the Twin Power FD, but since the new model ist out, I wonder if the Twin Power 2024 is superior to the FD? May I ask you about your opinion?
I have not used the new one yet, but my buddy has used both and he said the new one is far superior.
New one is way smoother too.
I can’t decide between one of these or a Vanquish 2023 🙈
@@danieledwards4398 I can tell you I would definitely go twin power over the vanquish
i have the '20 version and iti s a fine reel
how is everybody getting gear and i cant even caught a single snook... christian help me out please
Just keep casting it will happen
This reel fish for?
what exactly is a hagane body?
Hagane is the name of the matetial/process shimano uses for the body of this reel. It is a cold forged aluminum basically
Daiwa Certate 24 LT3000 or Shimano Twin Power 24 C3000/ 4000PG? Bought at the same price.
The Certate spanks it.
That’s bad mama jama I want one
Should’ve just got a certate
Certate? Only if you want to waste your money. I bought the Exist and don't like it but I couldn't sell it without huge loss because jokers out there want it for half a prize.
Certates are nice, but I definitely personally prefer my shimanos more. Only time I really prefer daiwa is my big game reels such as my saltigas I have. Sold my Stella to buy saltigas.
@@CrankinWithChristianYes well, I couldn't "gel" with the Exist but I really like my cheaper Daiwa 21 balistic 2500D-XH for instance or the Daiwa BG in 4000 size. I never had any problems with them, no wind knots or line getting under the spool ect. I can't say the same for the Exist or the horrible Fuego. Shimano does better it for me but that's just me.
As for the Saltiga, a friend of mine has it and I was considering it for my blue fish trips. In the end I got the Shimano TP SW because I preferred the feel of it better. Well, the Saltiga and the TP SW are in a whole different fishing game.
@@Jack-tn8im I e used the ballastic and BG too. They’re great reels for the price. All really personal preference man.
The twin power sw is definitely an awesome reel too!
@@CrankinWithChristian Absolutely, it is always due to personal preferences. Having said that, since I bought the Vanford, 23 Vanquish, this TP 24 model and TP XD before that I don't use Daiwa much. Except for the Exist that I so wanted to have but ended up not liking it. The other two Daiwa reels I own I pair with the Daiwa Labrax AGS rod sometimes, which I will add is an exceptional piece of equipment for my sea bass fishing.(Striper in the US) In fact there are only two rods I truly love and that's the Labrax mentioned above and the Shimano S90MH/R wild contact. Both are domestic Japanese rods not available in Europe. Fricking awesome for my style of fishing.
"wide spool, more line"?...u dont know what u talking about....keep the video of unboxing and first impression instead of misleading product review...btw good video and audio keep it up...
Wide spool, more line? It is a long stroke spool which is 10% bigger than normal spools so it does hold 10% more line. That is per shimanos website too. Not trying to be rude in this comment, if it comes out that way. Just not sure how it is misleading?
Saya minta 1 mister
I lost faith on shimano.
Why’s that?
@@CrankinWithChristian all my reels from shimano stradics to Saragossa, are seem to have problem with line roller bearing 😭
@@vsonic86 I haven’t had any issues with stradics and don’t have much experience with the gosa’s. I do know several guys that have had issues with the vanford line roller bearings tho.
