I'm near 60 years of age. I was born and raised Mormon. Greatest gift 🎁 this 2022 Christmas I could've ever gotten. Amen 🙏
Thank You Mormon Tabernacle...not part of your church.....but i feel the spirit when i listen to this....Beautiful may you be blessed....
THE GOSPEL IS TRUE, THIS IS THE REASON WHY WE, THE CHURCH MEMBERS WANTS TO SHARE THE TRUE AND EVERLASTING GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. WE ARE BLESSED TO KNOW THE TRUTH IN OUR YOUNG AGE.
i know that god is true and i know that through jesus christ we are saved through his sacrifices and i know that we the children of god are blessed because god provides us everything we need in our everyday life i know that the church of jesus christ of latter day saints is true. amen
I am a very proud Mormon! I have a very strong testimony and I know this church is true! We are not a cult and we believe much of the same things other religions do!
I remember singing this hymn to soothe my youngest son to sleep when he was a baby, it would bring peace to my soul when he was crying late at night and there's no doubt it also bought peace to him. God lives and Jesus is the Christ, I'm so thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.
I am missing my grandma so much
I'm an LDS...my life is more blessed now after i converted 22 years ago.I know that God lives and He loves us all...no matter who or what we did in this mortal life...He want us to be with Him again and gain the same glory that He possess eternally
There are things we don't understand about God. But we know He loves, and teaches us to love Him and love one another. Let us strive to follow His commands and not seek that which is beyond the mark. (for reference: Jacob 4:14)
I say these things in Jesus name. Amen.
To John Ernest: It is NEVER too late to return to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After 40 years if total inactivity and hard living I was in a time of personl crisis and found the courage to pray. I was prompted to prayer for His Comfort and guiding hand in knowing of the LDS Gospel was true. THE LORD DOES HEAR AND ANSWER SINCERE PRAYERS. The Lord knows your heart and will guide you through His Spirit with continued prayers how to find your way back. I have since been taught by the Holy Spirit of how to retain full standing and forgiveness from the Lord. You will be able gain a testimony burned into your soul that NO ONE can take from you if you live the HIS GOSPEL and pray for help, guidance, understand and His spirit to guide you. NO NATURAL MAN, no matter how well meaning has more knowledge of the truth than the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD THE FATHER AND HIS SON JESUS CHRIST!
Thank you so much for sharing brother!
All I know is that the Mormon missionaries taught my parent the light of Christ back in the 70's and thus I have the great blessing to be born in the LDS church and learn of Christ. I don't even need to argue with you. I just know through the Holy Spirit that Christ is our Savior.
I fell into inactivity when I was about 13. It took me some 10 years to find my way back. But returning to Church was the best decision I ever made.
i am an Anglican and I don't care what church one is from as long as we all have one thing in common,we love God and believe in him.so for me this choir just makes it happen for me..
Presbyterians too. Keep the Faith Sister
jacqueline nafusi ; So Paul declared, He gave us His church that we might come to a unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God. You speak well.
Kenneth Rothey true true I do thank God and thank you too.
AMEN !
This is my most favorite hymn, it brings such a comfort to me
May you all be blessed by our Father for you all to understand what is Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints are all about and what we practice, or anything that clouds your mind...pray pray pray...seek the wisdom of our Lord for you to avoid making false accusations or making any sin :) have a good day everyday :)
guys just listen to the song. have peace some times. we need it
I don't think I've ever heard this sung more beautiful or more prayerfully - tears flowing.
Does it matter whether they are considered "Christians"? This is about the music that Christ drives through these individuals. I'm Catholic- I bet many of you bashing these good human beings would dare call me a non-Christian as well. They are our brothers in Christ and it is our duty, according to Christ himself, to love every neighbor. Stop bashing people and enjoy the amazing music. As Pope Francis said recently, "It is not our job to judge anyone. Love, as Christ loved."
What comfort this brings to me. I feel God's grace in my life every day. This hymn reminds me of his unconditional love for me.
Peace and rest come to those that are touched by the Spirit of this choir and their worship of God and His Christ through hymns.
I Need Thee Every Hour...O Bless me now, my Savior, I come to Thee.
I would sing this song to my self, in the hospital chapel as my son was about to die. The words brought me so much peace and comfort during a hard time
oh what the heck...I love yous all my Brothers and Sisters! When we meet in the celestial kingdom, it's because we've asked for thee in every hour, to watch over us, to guide and comfort us through out our trails and tribulation...love the song and thank you
born & raised member of th elatter day saint church in Holland. I became inactive when i became 16. Still this music hits me every time.
It makes me remember a time when I know I was never alone... I miss my priesthood, its power and blessings that till now I forgot or never understood how important they were.
John Ernest hello, I'm 15 and live in the US and if u are still inactive I urge you to come back!! Heavenly Father loves you and wants the best for you,
Beautiful to be sure.. The Mormon Choir always sound like Angels from Heaven singing God's Praises..
Thank you for sharing with us.
This only brings tears of joy. Thank you most gracious lord
Look for the face of God in the winter of discontent as well as in the summer of joy. He is the God for all seasons!
Judi Harbin amen
This is my baptism song...
He is our true need. By the time you're in a rest home you realize you had too much stuff by the time you were 32. And now [and when] you are in your winter years what you really "own" doesn't [won't] fill a cardboard box.
Ah! the wisdom that only comes when maturity allows such a revelation. As Billy Graham said "This is not my home; I am merely passing through"
Yeah dude, it's true: "and moreover, I say unto you, that there shall be no other name given nor any other way nor means whereby salvation can come unto the children of men, only in and through the name of Christ, the Lord Omnipotent." Right there in our own scriptures!
I'm enjoying this music so much : )
My favorite hymn! I feel God's Spirit every time! Wow!
Thank you for sharing your incredible voices with us all. And may God bless each one of you.. Thank you.
What a lovely piece of music and so beautifully sung by the Mormon TBC
God Bless Ya's for Sharing
"Heaven" would not be complete without the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Thank God for what you have, trust God for what you need.
This was President David O. McKay's (9th President of the Church) favorite song. He was a most beloved and respected leader of the Church.
Beautiful.........
Me too! I have a very strong testimony! I'm going on a mission in two years!
Truly love this song. Oh I need Thee!
I truly need you, Lord, EVERY hour. I'm sinking deep.
Tears flowing
I imagine this is what I will hear as I cross over, to be welcomed into heaven; a lifelong Methodist, I love listening to MTC; such a reverent & beautiful piece of music.
I Love being a Mormon! :D
I left Samoa in 1979, im a High Chief, i see your 18 yrs. old, my advise to u is, learn about our history, talk to your parents or grand parents. i love the music of (your church,) i was born and raised in the Methodist church, and now has been and still a member of the ISLAMIC faith. Remember theres good and bad in every Religion, (and to let u know that our (ancestors) the Native Americans settle the (Islands) before the (Europeans) and the (Africans), so, we mixed with them by marriage.
I just re posted this video for a friend who's going through one of the toughest moments in life. May heavenly father take her by the hand, and walk her through this difficult time. Thank you for uploading this video. God bless.
Thank you sir!
Thank you! I honestly don't get why people think we're not Christians. The name of our church is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints after all. It's right there in the name. It's sad that user names such as "DefendingMormanism" have to exist. But keep up the work brothers and sisters!
~:IB:~
Had I not been born LDS, I would have joined after watching this.
Pray without ceasing.
I enjoy your comments especially when you display your devout heart on your sleeve. Thank you
Thank you for uploading this wonderful hymn!
The lord loves you and I do too
I need a prayer
I need Thee every hour.
I am not Mormon, but I respect their right to believe and practice. But the choir is a National Treasure!
This is such a beautiful arrangement of this song. So very peaceful!
i need thee LORD EVERY HOUR
This arrangement with the 5th suspending all these, almost takes us to heaven
Why do some have to judge and condemn? Let's let God do the judging, o.k.? In the meantime let's love one another.
I need YOU every Hour my Father evenly😊😊
we all need the Lord but are we lessening
He is all ways there
oh so beautiful
So gorgeous!
Thank you for adding the lyrics, now I can enjoy it with the melody! It's beautiful the choir and I wish I had an opportunity to watch them live. :/
Thanks again! :D
Beautiful. Makes you want to join in.
참 아름답습니다~이 곡의 가장 좋아하는 버전입니다.
Thank you!
Beautiful arrangement!
I'm sorry, I love it so Much I had to Vote Up my own Comment...
This is the most beautiful version of this song I´ve ever heard! So beautiful and you see how the choir enjoys singing this.Does anybody know if Mack Wilberg wrote the arrangement? He writes so many beautiful arrangements for the Tabernacle Choir and they are very fortunate to have him!
I never knew a people who have so much kindness and charity towards their fellow man could be so evil and full of deceit.
Gladys Knight is a Mormon and sings for the Church, she is even singing is some to the LDS teaching DVDs and VCRs and CDs. If she is not black then no one knows what black is!
Alex Boye' has been a member of the choir since 2006.
AMEN to that RICK
everything changed with the NEW Testament A New Covenant set forth by Jesus
Matthew 18:1-4
1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
this is awesome. i'm so moved by their voices. anyone can share who is the arranger of that song? i want to sing it with my choir. thank you fellas. God blesses.......
The choir does not have a "quota" for membership. Auditions are required to be a member. However to be a member individuals must live in the vicinity of Salt Lake City. I'm sure the choir's ethnicity is reflective of the demographics of the region. As you look through the choir you will see members of many races and nationalities. If the choir was located, say in New York City or Los Angeles, the diversity make-up would be reflective of that region of the country.
We didn't steal it! Dose not every child of god deserve the right to worship him and his son? If i sing this song dose that mean I stole it? No! I'm simply paying tribute.
magnificent!
Then great minds do think alike as this was LDS President Kimball's favorite hymn, too.
The reason why i advise u about our people is because u r from the United States, u need to know that our (Ancestors, the Native Americans) settled the (Islands before the Europeans and the Africans, now the Europeans and Africans were married to our people and also their culture, tradition and language r very much mixing with our people culture, race, tradition and language too. and, again, i was a Methodist, now im a Muslim and im very dedicated to ISLAM, but, i like the MORMON song very much.
@ColinT57 Hate to continue this, but the MTC is a hard choir to get into and yes, the auditions are rigorous. Also, this only shows the choir on one occasion. Most of the time there are closer to five or six rather than one. It depends on the year and who could be singing when they had to.
muito lindo

To timothyj: Does that mean the MoTab can't sing Silent Night? Or perhaps Happy Birthday? Or will that make you think they "stole those" as well?
As you wish
you can go to lds.org and find the song. It has it all.
Currently there are several Black American members of the MTC. But, as I have asked others, I'm curious--exactly what number of choir members, or, what exact percentage of the choir membership gets to be diverse according to your definition of diversity in order to meet with your approval?
@ColinT57 : I'm just curious, exactly how many persons of African/American descent, out of a total of 360 members, are needed to be a part of the choir to meet with your approval?
@ 4:22 I see a black man signing. That the previous people have said Im sure it just about the majority that lives in the area.
* another question .... Is that the black guy from the "Im a Mormon" commercial on youtube?
like the subtitales. now I can memerize the song.
And remember, and please dont get me wrong, i was raised a Methodist for so, so, long, and i found out something very strange, did u know that theres a lots of (holes in the Holy Bible?) im not saying that the whole Holy Bible is wrong, no, please no, i love to help u, this is a hint, from Genesis - Revelation theres so many contradictions, and missing scriptures and chapters, in the (Holy Bible), i found it out while i've been reading the (Holy Qu'ran).
Far too slow. But then again, this choir always drags hymns.
Do you wear sunglasses all the time?
softiy
when i watch the movie there are no lyrics! what happened?
could you share you're testimony with me in a pm please
