Only one thing, though, you don't need to create a new layer for the generative fill, even selecting the group itself or the top layer is enough.
I hadn't notice they update that. This was recorded late 2023 so maybe it was still a thing then. But thanks for the head up!
You can even see that in you tutorial it created a new layer above the one you created. I think it always did that. but any way, as long as a layer is selected, a generative fill will be created above it.

When I blend layers, instead of using the lasso tool, I make a quick mask and paint with a soft brush around the edges that I want to blend. Then I just let Generative Fill work it’s magic.
That works great as well!
I take it the maximum size that the generative fill components should be is 1024 by 1024? Anything bigger will be of lower resolution?

I have a question .. in many of the videos w/ regards to Generative Fill .. we have the option to 'do over' if we don't get the results we are looking for, but isn't there a limit to the number of those? Its wonderful that the feature is making adjustments/changes easier .. I just worry about running out of those ..
Yeah, unfortunately Jae, there is a limit which depends on what subscription plan you have. The full creative cloud plan gives you 1,000 per month. When you run out you can still use it at a slower rate.

Why don't you use roop in stable diffusion? its just a button press to do this with all of the colour correction included.

Because the resolution of the roop model is terrible. This way you can do a high quality detailed faceswap.
