@@OutdoorswithOvertime I also like your winch that cranks from the top, not the side. I could lay the board on the garage floor and wouldn't need a table to put it on as long as the board doesn't bow with tension on it. I've seen drawboards that were vertical that leaned up against a wall.
I built this same setup a couple years ago. Even the same harbor freight pulley. The Velcro is a good idea. I might have to add something like that. Thanks for the video
Hello I built a draw board almost identical to yours difference being there pipe was longer and the winch was a side crank. I to had the same problem with the bow wanting to rotate backwards while drawing it back even after relocating both the pipe and the winch. Is there a definite way to avoid that problem?
Yes, mount the bow and hook the cable to d loop. Then take a level and make a straight line from d loop to winch. Make a mark and anchor cable down (with space to slide in and out) with a U nail. Works great for me now.

I like the hand winch
I prefer a geared hand winch. But with my set up I had to go with this one.
Looks good champ.
Thank you
Could you use your drill and a socket to crank the winch faster?
Sure you can
Great idea and tutorial!!
Thank you.
Great Video!
