Starting off with 50% dislikes:) looks like it reached my targeted audience! Oh and btw. In America they cost the same😂 it’s just here in Norway that the legion go is more expensive.
Wait till you start with the new keymapping...Legion Go makes any game easier now, even MMOs without using ConsolePort. Sound may be meh, but I use a speaker when docked, and headphones the rest of the time so it's great for me. I just refer to the max resolution as 2K 144Hz. It's really an amazing tablet/handheld gaming device.
@@RetroBoyy It was a week or more ago now...but yeah, it made it so you can keymap keyboard or mouse controls to the handles. Also had an update that lets you keep it charged at 80% or less when docked to save wear on the battery.
I returned my legion go and bought an ally. Legion performance was kinda mid and older drivers caused frame time issues and the software was very buggy for me. The rog ally has been working very well for me and vrr is definitely noticeable. Helps that I also have a g14 so they go together for the aesthetic
@@sherlockholmes870 def better hardware, but personally the controllers were a lil too blocky for my liking. It prob would’ve been fine if I modded them like cppc tech did, but I just chose to go the ally route
The ally is way ahead in the portability factor but given i play at home majority of the time that doesn't matter to me. The bigger screen on the Go really sold it for me. So I returned the ally yesterday and picked up the Go. I love it so far.
This has got yo be the worst review of this console on TH-cam. Liked and subscribed, because at least you have an opinion, unlike these ”professional” TH-camrs who are all the same.
The screen size is dope. The lack of vrr is noticeable. Shot looks ass if you play it on a monitor. I would just cash out alittle more for a build . I get the portability but you sacrifice a lot for it
sounds like a preference thing. you listed some bad and good for ally and Lego. I returned my Lego for an Ally. its not as bulky and the support is fantastic, been playing with new drivers that include afmf. Both devices are great.
They are. But if they cost the same Where you live then the legion go is better. Outdated drivers are pretty bad. But i havent seen any driver related issues and they should be able to roll them out soon. And yes its bigger. But personally i like that its bigger. Might be a deal breaker for some i guess
if you are going to use the console as a work console, mainly working with documents or watching movies, then it is suitable for this. Legion Go, but for gaming, Rog Ally is suitable, since it has VRR and there is no soap in games like Legion Go, you will always play with a resolution of 800p and the picture on legion will be terrible. that's why I prefer rog ally and steam deck
Greetings and blessings, I don't have the Legion Go yet, but I was planning to buy one, regarding the fact that the Games look blurry when you lower the resolution, I think it is a problem with some Games that when you run them in Full Screen mode it detects which is a Vertical Tablet (The Legion Go basically uses a Model Y800 or Y700 tablet as a screen) and they get blurred because of that, the solution would simply be that when you go to Play a game in which you notice this, simply deactivate the full screen mode and put it in borderless or window mode, and it should be solved, greetings.
Your opinion is your opinion and if your happy with how the legion is going great , me myself I have seen evident that the software rollout for the legion go almost makes if feel like Lenovo has abonded the device, like taking care of the unwated child..
Yeah the software updates have been almost abandoned it sounds like. I myself havent had any issues but i have heard that People are complaining that there isnt a new graphics driver. But thats software though, it can get fixed and hopefully it will. Hardware is more important in my opinion, as firmware and drivers can get fixed after time
Haha Yeah the steam deck should be BAD. I dont really use vrr so that might be the reason. I tried RSR but i dont see any improvement, might be because i diddnt set it up correctly. Im just not a big fan of upscaling in general. I feel like its hard to set up and get working Well. Much easier to just take down the graphics options in games.
I have the Legion Go as well and it has GLARING issues. Too loud Extremely annoying fan-noise Shit speakers that are horrible Overheats and unusable with anything more than 20 watts The display feels choppy because it has no VRR (no matter the framerate) The portrait display causes a lot of issues, like framegeneration is not even possible on it because of its native portrait format The handling/ergonomics are aweful and its edges hurt your hands after a very short while The D-Pad is pretty much unusable... Its that bad! Its drains battery almost as fast as the OG Ally because of that huge screen ... I could go on and on. I will return mine and I already pre-ordered the Ally X.
Sadly for me this pc handheld has one of the worst softwares i've seen. not only that it does not have vrr and its extremely noticable even on handheld but the performance is worse than the ally, sometimes even 12% worse in some cases which killed me. The only reedeming factor i've seen in the legion go so far is the display and that's all, in my opinion it really needs more and more updates to fix these software issues. Because of all of these reasons i returned mine and went for the ally, having an amazing time with it❤
The Legion Go 2 would be great is they fixed all the horrible issues it currently has. And that screen needs VRR. Especiallyw with that size. Its even more obvious than the Steam Deck OLED. No matter your framerate it always feels choppy. I will never buy another display without VRR. Its a MUST!
@@RetroBoyy great, will look it. I was unsure if I should wait for ally X but it‘s much more expansive. How do you like the comfort of the grips in handheld mode?
Aaa never thought about that. So you cant just plug in the gpu and use the build inn display? You have to run a hdmi through the graphics card to make the graphics card work right? Been a while since i dealt with desktops😅
I have both and IMO the ROG Ally screen looks cleaner, the speakers are better and I don’t really ever use the GO. Upgrading the SSD was easy on the Ally as well. The Legion Go is uncomfortable and yes has some kool features but at the end of the day hand comfort, sound quality and ease of use was a no brainer! The Ally has less options but was easier to set up and use IMO the interface is better IMO I do like the bigger screen on the Go
Hahahaha Coitado, tive um Legion Go e vendi para comprar o Rog Ally. Foi a melhor coisa que fiz, afinal o processamento e desempenho do Asus dá um banho nessa porcaria sem garantias e frágil.
@RetroBoyy it still does I've got both and they both look shite without the fsr2fsr3 mod but it doesn't work with lukes no matter how many times I subbed to him lol
my sd card got fried on my rog, so i returned it. 3 weeks later it was returned, then it happened again. i gave it to my little brother & now shopping for a new handheld. legion looks ugly as hell but that big screen & refresh rate is tempting

Ah yes i agree. I dont really like the shape. It starts hurting my hands after some hours of play. The grip is definetly better on the ally.
What about micro sd card slot

The legion go is really the best of them all qnd outside the software issues this thing is the BEAST! I LOVE MINE!

I really don’t like the sound in the Legion go 😓, however I love its screen !
Yeah same here. The sound could be better. Thats the Main thing the rog ally has.
There's a way to fix it with FX sound for example.
Its the speakers that are trash. Not the software. The speakers on the rog ally were awesome when i had it.
