Apparently, it also has an adjustable link so that you can raise or lower the height of the seat. And I’m not referring to suspension adjustments. One of my biggest dislikes about that machine, aside from where it’s made, is that you have to remove the gas tank to change the spark plug.
Raising the seat height would make it much more comfortable for me. I own a V-Strom and you have to take the tank off for spark plugs and air filter, bit of a pain but pretty normal for ADV bikes
My local dealer had 27 or so pre orders of the 450MT. They had 7 on the floor waiting to be picked up, on Friday when I was there picking up my new bike. There were 5 Himalayan 450 sitting there sold as well. Looks like the big 4 missed out on this booming segment.
I believe our local dealer had 20 pre- orders. The new Himalayan looks good too. The big 4's ADV bikes just keep getting bigger and more expensive. An affordable lightweight ADV bike is perfect for many people. Enjoy your new bike!
My experience with Chinese motorcycles, CF moto, and Lifan is the weak link is the electrical system. Mechanically they are generally good, they would definitely benefit by using Nipon Denso for example, since 80% of breakdowns are electrically related.
@@OzADVRider So true, the bike I used to travel the world, a Yamaha XT 500, had a one wire dedicated ignition circuit and separate lighting circuit, battery was optional. Not much use for today's tech gadgets, but they hadn't been invented back then, and to be honest, don't think they're really needed today.
@@ivorscruton5121Used to ride a DT350 yam many moons ago and it was completely bullet proof - its simplicity was its strength and ultimately charm. I think most of the story's I've heard of chinese bikes falling apart are the cheap ebay bikes. CFMOTO seems to be ok. I'm keen to lay eye's on a Kove. Wasn't that long ago no one trusted Jap bikes.
@@OzADVRider Precisely. Does anyone use the term Jap Crap anymore, or in the last 40 years? I wouldn't have anything but a Japanese made car. Bloody awesome Ian, 😊 thanks for trying her out.
No problem 👍 very nice to ride. You wouldn't know it's a 450.
Great video mate. We've got some after market accessories in R&D stage.
- Bash plate
- Rear luggage rack
- Tail tidy
- Side/Soft luggage panels (similar to our T7)
- Radiator guard
That's awesome! Not much available for these bikes yet.
I've got a B&B bashplate and radiator guard on my V-Strom and know how good they are.
@@OzADVRider I can pop my head out our front showroom door and spot your V-Strom right now :)
@BBOffRoadEng haha, it stands out from your average V-Strom!
You won't see it there anymore though, I've just changed jobs.
@@OzADVRider where are you at now?

Nice clip, well edited. Have 800 MT will be checking out the 450.👍👍
Thanks! I've always liked the 800 but would probably choose the 450 just because it's lighter

There is an 870cm height seat as an extra.
@@OzADVRider yeah, it wouldn’t bother me to have to remove the tank, as long as it’s a fairly easy task, which I’m not to sure about...
@@airadaimagery692 it's easier than most bikes that have same placement
Plugs last a long time , air filter is easy no tank removal just take off seat and and a few screws
There is a big seat for the model, that brings the seat high with 30-40mm /don't remember exactly/
That would be perfect for me.
It sure does look the part!
Nice bike!
Enjoyed the ride on your bike too!
Haven't seen the footage yet.

Honda has the CRF 300 Rally, but the suspention is a bit soft for European person and more expensive the both bikes.
Don’t think they can compete on price.
these things are flying out at the dealers, that price point is a key indicator.
Yep. Motorcycle Land is selling heaps. I'm sure other CFMOTO dealers are too.
Nice looking bike glad you got off before the trails started i wouldnt like to be the first to drop it either 😂
It was nice to ride. Looked like it handled the trails well.
Bloody awesome, i am sorry bmw but CFmoto is the new king
Time will tell for reliability and customer service.
I think CFmoto will be doing all it can to get a good reputation.
Nice!
It sure is!
$10,750 in NZ on the road.
It costs $4,363 in China. Who takes the doubled profit and passes the high price on to consumers? The government’s tariffs or the dealers?

Agreed. Doesn't help that modern motorcycles rely so much on electronics

Im old school.
I wouldn't own a Chinese bike even if they were free.
A lot of people feel the same.
Seen and heard some horror stories of Chinese made bikes. Time will tell with this one, I guess
You seem to think you're smarter than the whole bunch of riders who've already owned cfmoto or kove bikes for years.
