I know Kuudere is like anime terms so I'm hesitant to use it? Maybe it's not an issue at all, I'm not sure. Either way though, I realized after recording that maybe a super out-of-touch-with-their-emotions character doesn't sound as dynamic as my other characters and may not be as fun to listen to. as an autistic person with adhd i almost started to cry when you/he started talking about how the "routines" might not be 'logical,' but they just make sense to his brain so that's how it's always been... MAN. i legitimately sighed in relief and relaxed my shoulders that i didn't realize were tensed. it's so refreshing to hear stuff like that that i resonate with so deeply.
I don’t have either of those but I do have ocd and I’m a perfectionist. I can see where you are coming from😂 I have always told myself to do things a certain way or else something will happen if I don’t, or it will bug me. For example, color coding everything or making sure nothing is near falling off any tables. It is quite refreshing to hear someone say something like that. It’s like you knew you were never crazy because you were told that people had the same feelings you do but when someone actually shows that, it completely different.

Oh my gosh, my heart! I'm neuro-divergent and mask almost constantly and this dialogue is literally how I feel all the time. Typically I just ignore feelings I don't really understand so the idea of having someone you trust to ask about that stuff is so freaking amazing!

your content has drama, high quality, heart, and most importantly, THOUGHT. So many VAs will just mumble the word “baby” into a mic and call it romance, but you actually think of a storyline and the flow of the conversation feels so real, and it’s a slow but noticeable shift into the fluff !!

Omg yes you put it into words so well. It really does bother me when there's no lead up to the fluff bits because then it feels so meaningless! I try my best with developing the characters to that point so I'm happy you appreciate it!!!

This was so sweet!!! I love this sweet, awkward boy! Also, I usually have a caramel macchiato as my coffee, but I've recently discovered a frozen white mocha at my new coffee place which is becoming my favorite, though their dolce latte is quite good too! I like to try new sweet coffees and haven't fully picked just one.
Oh goodness, I know someone who works at a Starbucks so I can occasionally get free caramel macchiatos and it's the highlight of my day every time, I looove that one. I have to be in the mood but sweet coffees are sublimeee

I've been listening and re-listening to a bunch of your audios and they contain a lot of beautiful conversational prose. Something about this character listing their compulsive behaviors and internal logic felt like it's own nostalgic little poem.

I'm glad I'm not the only autistic person who saw themself reflected in this character. I'm on the opposite end of the scale, being hyper-emotive and emotional to an overwhelming degree, so when characters reflect the opposite, I feel drawn to them I think :] Idk, i really liked this audio.

Honestly I have issues showing and understanding certain emotions I struggle and often just bottle up all those emotions until I just explode so I can understand him a bit its hard to understand people and emotions
At first I was a little surprised by this monotonous character. (I haven’t watched many of your videos yet) He’s such a strong contrast to the shy neighbor. But then I listened a bit more closely and realized this character is just textbook pragmatic/logic based. (as he is self aware of) It was amusing to see him struggling with brand new romantic feelings and looking online only to find that the answers weren’t quite lining up with things he had dealt with before.
Kinda off topic, but this character is a lot like the other main character in the book I’m writing. (And the love interest, go figure) I already knew a lot about them, but learned more after listening to this! Pragmatic silly billy doesn’t know what a crush is. Adorable.
Oh I adore romance books with those types of characters! Something is soo sweet to me about a clueless character learning how to express their love. Sorry for stealing all your ideas before you can get them out but I hope you can find some inspiration through my portrayals!
