Literally, my chest hurts. Like, I actually felt dejected and rejected when he said “No, it’s nothing important” and then it hurt MORE when I heard the panic in his voice and just the angst! It was beautiful. I loved it. I have tears in my eyes. 10/10, listening again. 😂
I dont comment often- but I had to for this! This has such a intriguing story with a really good cliffhanger that I’m sitting here thinking “I cant wait to see what happens next!” Not only that but it feels organic, like these two are goofy friends and you’d think this be another sweet little classic frens to lovers which would be absolutely fine but then there’s the phone call and then there’s tension! And when the listener’s heart starts beating after realizing?? ooooo Tea is HOT!!

God, something I absolutely *adore* about your vids are the different personalities and relationship dynamics that you convey, every single one of your audios (and the character you play in each one) is unbelievably interesting and has so so much substance to it, it's so refreshing to see this much range not only in performance (like seriously youre fantastic at writing dialogue w the listener character and making it sound natural and real) but writing skill too!! I honestly think I've watched every one of your audios at least 3 times already.

@Jay! Aaah!! That means a lot actually, I can’t help but feel like I keep playing the same characters over and over sometimes. I try to get more variety in where I can! Maybe it’s that a lot of my characters have similar mannerisms because my acting range isn’t crazy big but I can try to make up for it with the different stories. Hm. But trying to give my characters life gives me life hehe. So happy you enjoy!!

@Sashialla Odin Hehe those guys are pesky noisemakers actually, I ended up editing quite a bit of their honking out!! I’ve seen some waddling around where I live recently. The audio clip with them I used though was actually recorded in the Netherlands! But to give it a busier city park feel, I blended in some audio from Paris too! Can you hear any French? I think I managed to edit any extra dialogue out too but I might’ve missed some. Aah the sfx editing is fun.

I don't remember any French dialogue, but then again, as the audio went on, I found myself more and more enthralled with the story and script that I didn't pay a lot of attention to much else after the geese, lol.

@Sashialla Odin they could be Canadian Geese! Though I guess you’d call them Dutch Canadian Geese? Hehe it’s good they didn’t distract from the story. The heartbeat sounds were tricky because I didn’t want them to be campy but I also liked the effect they had. I listened and for a section I even lined them up individually to follow the flow of the dialogue! My heart was even going faster during editing them

It has that crisp, pale early morning feel when everything smells fresh and new after a rainy night. Little chilly but the sun starts to warm you as it rises.
The heartbeat was a great storytelling detail. Giving the listener a voice without saying a word.
Not a morning person myself, even if I regularly have to deal with them. Zombie/Cro-Magnon posture with the same level of linguistic and cognitive skills would make a moment like this much less adorable.
@Neana Hidden hence the copious apologies for dragging the listener from their cocoon hehe. I’m sad that I never let the listener get their coffee :-:
I can’t remember the last time I caught the sunrise but on the very rare occasion that I do, it’s always some sort of otherworldly experience. Glad you didn’t mind that heartbeat! I hate putting words in the listener’s mouth but I also wanted to add a little extra kick to the scene.

Oof! That brought back memories of a guy I dated. His emotionally abusive cheating ex called incessantly with some drama or another so that it would always interrupt whatever we were doing. Then if he picked up it would affect his mood afterwards and she ended up being the topic of conversation. When I called him out over it being a clear attempt by her to get back together with him, of course I was the villain and jealous. He ended up going back to her smh.
