It's been a while, but it's finally here! In this episode of this new September series, we enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Southern Broads heading to the peaceful mooring of Herringfleet for the evening.

Haddiscoe swing bridge the old Beccles to Gt Yarmouth line, nice video by the way. I paddled Rockland St Mary to Bramerton and back yesterday and it was so so quiet for the summer holidays, I paddled the northern Broads a few weeks ago and even that seemed dead compared to the usual manic traffic.
Absolutely a brilliant video, only just started to catch up with other bloggers and have realised how much I’ve missed.
Interesting that moorings at Cantley didn’t appear flooded as they were the last time I went past in September 2023. When we cruise past last week they were all underwater again.

There’s a rumour that the BA might take on the Hardley Mill moorings. I hope that’s the case. It would probably help the Trust that has restored the mill too.
Hi Helen - we have also heard the same! We were chatting to a couple of volunteers when we visited Hardley Mill and they were telling us about BAs interest in getting the mooring. There appeared to be mixed views on whether that would be a good thing or not. The general thought was that the BA were more interested in securing the mooring, rather than the maintenance and upkeep of The Mill. But either way, whatever happens, fingers crossed that Hardley Mill gets ongoing support from the local community and visitors to The Broads to keep it going, as it's an amazing piece of history.

Hi Roland, thanks for your comment, as always. We did hear this on some of The Broads online forums that they were looking for new ownership, but we cannot confirm this. We hope it does stay open!

We have a boat in Tingdene marina be good to meet for a beer next time your on the broads, we’ve been featured a couple of times on Dave whitworths videos as we seam to hunt down you tubers lol 😜
