Just a heads up as someone who owns not one but two rabbits, they are NOT easy pets, in fact they are very hard pets. I’d recommend have a large play pen to keep them in and let them free roam (i know everyone can’t) and train them to be potty trained. (Mine are and it is a lot easier, but they’re still a ton of work.) I find typically most people just keep them in small cages which when you think about it, keeping them in such tiny cages isn’t right, and most with those small cages don’t have much of a chance to show their personality, but if you can provide them with all of this and are willing to do a lot of work (and I mean a lot) and pay a good bit then yea, go for it. Also I’m sure you know this, but just in case I wanted to tell you as no one told me this before.
I recently rescued two goldfish and they're absolutely amazing fish. They spent their entire lives in a ridiculously small bowl, so even though right now they're technically still in an aquarium too small for them, just the increased swimming space has them all excited and exploring 😊. Once winter is over they are going to their forever home in my parents' pond with an entire school of other goldfish. They are such wonderful little creatures.
I used to have a customer at my old job who kept chickens and would bring me their eggs (which were turquoise for some reason) and I've never had better eggs.
@@benadrylthundercrotch7144 I have pet chickens and we used to have some that we rescued from my neighbor and they laid green eggs and it was super cool. I only have 5 currently and they’re old ladies they’re about 7 years old now and they are awesome pets.
I own two goldfish that are nearing 10 years of age and they live in a pond in my greenhouse! Hi Em, I just want to thank you for educating people on goldfish. They’re super underrated and I hate how they have this perception of being easy animals to keep. THEY ARE NOT, necessarily. Goldfish can live up to 20 years if kept in the correct conditions, not 1-2 years as most people think. Firstly, they need a lot of space since they grow very big, a rule of thumb is to keep one goldie in a 90lr aquarium and for each added goldfish, an extra 20lrs of space. Since they are messy fish that poop a lot, it’s easy for them to pollute their water, eventually leading to death. So water changes must be done every week to prevent various diseases, around 30% each week. Also, high quality food is required for fancy species since they have a delicate digestive system. I’d highly recommend Hikari (Japanese brand) or Repashy gel food. Would love to see a fish video one day! Much love from the UK x

My dad loves ponds, and in all our houses growing up he’s made sure to build and maintain a pond. Saying that, his favourite fish for ponds are Golden Orfe. They are pretty hardy, very clever, and very pretty. Some of our fish are over 10 years old now. I’d highly recommend them.
@@norah8621 When I was in the military i was stationed at Fort Carson. If I could afford it, I'd love to move back there, but unfortunately that's highly unlikely to happen.
I remember we got a gold fish during a summer festival and they lived for about 3 or 4 years. We were really surprised sense it was a carnival fish. They would take the pebbles from the bottom of the tank and stack them into little piles so all night long you would hear the little clicks. I kind of miss that sound it was comforting while falling asleep.
What I love about ponds is that native wildlife will often set up shop there too. Green Frogs are a great example of a species which will set up shop and provide you with antics.
Speaking of fantastic mimics no one thinks of, corvids tend to be adept mimics from bluejays to crows. Bluejays have even been observed mimicking the sounds of predatory birds like hawks to scare off other birds.
Hi EM! When you do keep a axolotl, please don’t make the mistakes I did! Do not put rock as substrate. I had two axolotls, one died of impaction from eating rocks. PS. Axolotls love to eat ghost shrimp, but long red wigglers(worms) do work as well. :)
I want tons of animals as pets, so many reptiles, so many invertebrates, so many mammals, so many aquatics, so many... so many, but that probably wouldn’t be good for me or the animals, since I definitely would not be able to keep up, now I have a betta fish and I REALLY want a hamster, a simple hamster, I would also love a tarantula, a Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula, yeah. I would maybe also keep a fox when I grow up, would be a lot of work though. Everything you have on your list I would absolutely love to keep as well. Love💖
I love how you were able to section out each time stamp right on the video! And just calling them "Animal #" was super helpful because I could check without giving it away
They’re quite a difficult dog breed tho! I am a vet assistent and we see a lot of owners struggling with raising them, but if you do your research in training them they can be cute!
@Jyotiraditya Behera, you can if you find a male/female to breed with, just you need to wait about 9 months, after that, you should be rewarded with your own human.
@Jyotiraditya Behera, time travel back a few decades because that’s totally possible and if you hit the right year, you should be able to purchase an African slave.

Also, I was hoping if you could do a video about how to take care of the most common pets, those that you find in animal shelters or stores. From the most basic to the most luxurious care 😆 (Btw This is my first time writing a comment 😶) Take care and I bet a lot of us wish you the best, send you good vibes and even even pray for your well being 😊
I've always wanted to keep many animals. I hope it happens some day when I'm ready. -Gerbils -African Fat Tailed Geckos - A Leopard Gecko - I want snakes too, I'm not sure what it would be. - I also want to keep an Axolotl - I want a dog for sure I'm not sure what breed and I would have to do more research. - I also want salamanders someday - Small Parrots (specifically the Cockatiel I've been want one for a while) Someday. Definitely not know though. And I have to do more research and when I have more experience with animals. And better equipped. And not all at once.
Corn snakes are perfect for beginners so are milk snakes but they can be a bit difficult to feed when they are baby’s. ball pythons can also be picky eaters
Gerbils make great pets. I had a gerbil obsession when I was a kid. Just be careful, because they multiply like crazy and before you know it, you're overrun with them😬😬
I brought home my third axolotl yesterday and they are just the most adorable creatures. Two of mine will sit in your hand and my other one is a bit skittish but likes it when you sit in front of the tank and talk to her. You wouldnt think it but they get excited to see you! I love them!
oohhh i love the hill myna's too. when i was young we always went to this resort where they had an indoor jungle. they used to have a pair of these birds. indeed the sounds they produce, love it!
Goldfish are wonderful! We bought four feeders when i moved into my house to make sure our pond was safe (the previous owner used some kind of poison and they suggested that we buy some cheap fish before any expensive one) 9 years later, and they’re still thriving! They’re bigger than both my hands put together. They’re incredibly interesting to watch
Em's List: 1. Red-Whiskered Bulbul - Do not blame you there. That bird is beautiful! And having a little piece of home is understandable. 2. Goldfish - Well thought out ideas there. Kudos. 3. Mangrove Snake - To each their own. I'm glad you've done your research and have realistic expectations for your eventual snake. 4. Axolotl - Heck yes, I would love to keep some of these babies! 5. Leafcutter Ants - Again, to each their own. I personally would prefer to visit my local zoo for this one. They have an awesome setup there. 6. Mynah Bird - Gorgeous birds, though a bit to messy for me. Really cool that they can mimic humans. 7. Savannah Monitor - Kudos to you for wanting to be a great ambassador for these babies! My List: 1. Short-haired cats - Despite being allergic, cats are my favorite domestic pets and I would love to have two. I specify the short-haired bit because my reactions are not as severe. 2. Horses - I would love to have a horse of my own. They are amazing animals and I love riding and interacting with them. If I could, I would live on a ranch. 3. Flying Foxes - I consider bats to be absolutely adorable, and would love to own some flying foxes. Sadly because of their protected status, it is illegal to keep them as pets in most parts of the world. However, that doesn't mean I can't be an ambassador for them! 4. Rabbits - I have actually owned a rabbit before, and I adore these furry little critters. I would love a chance to own one or two again and keep them in a large outdoor hutch. 5. Kestrels - These little guys are my favorite falcons due to their size and color. I would happily get a falconry license for a chance to own some of these adorable birds!

i really want ferrets (probably 2) but my life situation isnt the best for how much they need right now so i hope in the future i can look after them
em, i just want to tell you that i appreciate your videos so much! you're such a knowledgeable and kind person, your videos are always very educative and entertaining at the same time, we can clearly see how much work you put into your content 🥺
I want fish When studying. I had them as a kid.
I rescued feeder goldfish a few years back and they got HUGE! I moved and now have them in an outdoor pond, it’s always been a dream of mine. So happy to see them so happy :)
Jey Em, i got my giant african land snail today!
Congratulations!!!
You are so lucky! I really want to have one but my parents say "NO SNAILS IN THIS HOME". Now I keep two snails (native species) to prove them I can take care of a snail so I can get a Giant African Land Snail one day.
I've got an albino retuculartus land snail. When I first got them, they could only just fit of my thumb nail. Now they cant even got on both of my hands together. I love you Howard!! 💕💕
@@Emzotic thank you so much i love ur videos!
Iv been watching you since the beginning and you have helped me realize my calling of going to school to be a zoologist and a vet. Thank you for your videos they are so educational and inspiring
Ngl- im getting good at being early when you post :D
Also can i just say- I find your voice relaxing owo
Omg welcome back! Thank you so much for your incredible support xxx
I didn't know you live in Colorado! That's so cool, I live there too!
Yes!!! Denver!
@@Emzotic Nice! I'm in the Springs!
@@norah8621 When I was in the military i was stationed at Fort Carson. If I could afford it, I'd love to move back there, but unfortunately that's highly unlikely to happen.
@@GreymanWalking That's cool!
Mynah birds are so common in Singapore its actually shocking to hear them being a pet :O
Right?? It's crazy when you see them on the streets everyday, but they ARE adorable :3
What I love about ponds is that native wildlife will often set up shop there too. Green Frogs are a great example of a species which will set up shop and provide you with antics.
Hey Em! I would really like to own a snake one day!! 🐍
Ouuu which species!?
@@Emzotic I would love to own the tiny rough green snake! They're adorable.
I would love to own a reticulated python theyre so cute! I've done so much research on them!
Speaking of fantastic mimics no one thinks of, corvids tend to be adept mimics from bluejays to crows. Bluejays have even been observed mimicking the sounds of predatory birds like hawks to scare off other birds.
The Axolotl Song brings back memories!
The innocent days of TH-cam 🥺
I listened to your podcast by animals at home network. It was one of my favourite episodes!!!!!love your channel so much
I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows the axolotl song enjoyed the video :) :)
Yay!! I’m early! So happy to have a new Em video to watch while I clean out my Guineas!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi EM! When you do keep a axolotl, please don’t make the mistakes I did! Do not put rock as substrate. I had two axolotls, one died of impaction from eating rocks. PS. Axolotls love to eat ghost shrimp, but long red wigglers(worms) do work as well. :)
Hi Emma, glad you looking so well, early again ,soo happy you be in a happy place
I’ve wanted an Airedale Terrier for quite some time now
What a great choice of dog!!
They’re quite a difficult dog breed tho! I am a vet assistent and we see a lot of owners struggling with raising them, but if you do your research in training them they can be cute!
your intro is the best, it makes your videos seem so professional!
i’ve always wanted to own hissing cockroaches 🥺
They’re fantastic
They’re easy and amazing.
@Jyotiraditya Behera hahaha loved this
@Jyotiraditya Behera, you can if you find a male/female to breed with, just you need to wait about 9 months, after that, you should be rewarded with your own human.
@Jyotiraditya Behera, time travel back a few decades because that’s totally possible and if you hit the right year, you should be able to purchase an African slave.
I LOVE the new consistency of posting! Hands down one of the best/if not the best animal TH-camr.
My top 3 “wish list” animals are : Mudskippers, Frilled Dragons and Dart Frogs.
Another video in a short time, thanks Em;
Greetings from Brazil!
Emz: posts
Me: clicks faster than the speed of light 😂
I make vidz btw❤️
same
Awesome!!!! 😍❤️
I haven't even seen the video yet, but I want to thank you for posting. You've no idea, how happy your videos makes me.
The rhino viper is my favorite snake ever, I’d love to keep one. It’d be dangerous but they’re beautiful.
Nice choice!!!! I love them too!!
Hello Em! I loved this video, and totally agree with all the animals you want!! I hope you have a great weekend, love you always!!! 💕
Your channel got me into pet ferrets so I really want them. Right now I have a hamster and a fish! Love your vids!
@Lexy Hanson Don't worry, I always do TONS of research before adopting a pet. And cool! what species of hamster do you have?
@Lexy Hanson I know what you mean, with all those critter trails out there. I have a Campbell's dwarf!
Hi Em 💕
The axolotl song 😢😂
I just wanted to let you know that I admire everything you have share with us about you knowledge and yourself. Also, I was hoping if you could do a video about how to take care of the most common pets, those that you find in animal shelters or stores. From the most basic to the most luxurious care 😆
(Btw This is my first time writing a comment 😶)
Take care and I bet a lot of us wish you the best, send you good vibes and even even pray for your well being 😊
i would keep goldfish there are so beautiful
Yeah I jave six of them and I completely adore them. Although they are very messy 😬😂
@@rosemaclarenlee727 lol there also funny
I agree !!! 🐠
Solid list and I loved how you made sure to specify the requirements for all these animals
Me, with my two axolotls: I want a 500 gallon to fill with axolotls.
😂 I love axolotls!
I don’t think a single person (other than bots) have disliked this video. Really shows how much your supporters enjoy your content.
I've always wanted to keep many animals. I hope it happens some day when I'm ready.
-Gerbils
-African Fat Tailed Geckos
- A Leopard Gecko
- I want snakes too, I'm not sure what it would be.
- I also want to keep an Axolotl
- I want a dog for sure I'm not sure what breed and I would have to do more research.
- I also want salamanders someday
- Small Parrots (specifically the Cockatiel I've been want one for a while)
Someday. Definitely not know though. And I have to do more research and when I have more experience with animals. And better equipped.
And not all at once.
Corn snakes are perfect for beginners so are milk snakes but they can be a bit difficult to feed when they are baby’s. ball pythons can also be picky eaters
WoAh
Gerbils make great pets. I had a gerbil obsession when I was a kid. Just be careful, because they multiply like crazy and before you know it, you're overrun with them😬😬
I am so glad to see you back, seriously 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
They have red whiskered bulbul in Los Angeles county, CA Los Angeles botanical garden
I brought home my third axolotl yesterday and they are just the most adorable creatures. Two of mine will sit in your hand and my other one is a bit skittish but likes it when you sit in front of the tank and talk to her. You wouldnt think it but they get excited to see you! I love them!
I would love to have a lizard or a snake as a pet.
Yes please!!
@@Emzotic I would like to get a Tegu. Those lizards are really cool and I also want to get like a medium sized snake like the Mexican black kingsnake.
oohhh i love the hill myna's too. when i was young we always went to this resort where they had an indoor jungle. they used to have a pair of these birds. indeed the sounds they produce, love it!
i would love a ball python, argentine black and white tegu, ferrets, grey banded kingsnake, african grey and a green tree python
I want a green tree python too
This video really cheered me up and made me smile!
I would love to keep hognose snake and blue tongue skink
im so happy you’re back to uploading. you seem so happy and that makes me so happy🥺🤍🤍
the Mynah bird is kinda scary. I don’t like that it can literally imitate someone’s voice so perfectly 😟
Yeah one day on the phone saying your pin number. Then it repeats it lol.
A lot of birds have really scary mimicing capabilities. TH-cam talking crows/ravens, or Woof Woof the talking Tui.
The axolotl song is just...yesss it’s perfect thank you for the recommendation!!!❤️❤️❤️ love your channel!!!
I also wanted a lizard, maybe da horned one
Goldfish are wonderful!
We bought four feeders when i moved into my house to make sure our pond was safe (the previous owner used some kind of poison and they suggested that we buy some cheap fish before any expensive one)
9 years later, and they’re still thriving! They’re bigger than both my hands put together. They’re incredibly interesting to watch
I would love to own a snake to a particular a milk snake I love them they're beautiful in my
Ooh I love milk snakes but keep in mind that they can be quite difficult to feed when they are baby’s
I didnt know whaz snake you ment and googled and in Germany they're literally called trianglesnake 😂😂
She’s back and better than ever! Love you em ❤️❤️
23 minutes ago.... YES
Em's List:
My List:
I watched the axolotl song and now I’m a salamander
😂😂😂
OMG THE AXOLOTL SONG 😂😂😂🤣 thank you so much sharing such an experience, I love it
Hi Em !!! I got ur notification and I clicked sooo fast !! I am from India and I wanted ur book and I searched up animal kind by Emma lock and I was shocked by the price it was ₹ 2,000 here sorry em I can't purchase it as it too expensive but I will always support you Em!!! Hope you see this Em !!!!💞💞I love you!!!!!! Been here since u started ur channel.
Oh my!!! That’s very expensive!!😱😱😱
Can confirm.
Snow in Colorado is 100% a thing that happens often. Especially at weird times.
In March of this year, we legit had a blizzard. It was like late March and it was really cool haha. We were out of school for a solid week I think.
As a fellow Coloradan I can confirm. A few years back we got a two day bomb cyclone, our chickens were not happy with the weather.
I’d love to have a Millipede, they are so cute and interesting, I currently have a dog and 2 goldfish ;) they suck on each other it’s very bizarre. Lol
Oh my! 🤣
Millipedes really are adorable. I thought I was the only one...
