I hear you with the foggy black side covers. I've got a 2021 1000XMR and that's the first thing I noticed and man does it piss me off. Also I put the full aluminum factory skid plates on it. They don't come with them because that's how they make their money..... accessories, accessories, accessories. Those skid plates ran me $800 but I've heard them do their job a few times now. They're worth every penny......oh wait we're Canadian and we don't have pennies anymore, they're worth every nickel!
@koomafloo Bikes looking nice! Recently had my bike in for its for servicing just before the spring weather hit here in south eastern Ontario! Can’t wait to blast some new Ruts into the mud runs around my local area!
Dylan Gray-Brady I would check the high/low switch on the handle bars. They get water in there and corrosion starts, causing bad connection. Bad connection causes heat, and that causes more amp draw.👊
mark Minyard huge shoutout to you man! Your suggestion on where to check was exactly what was wrong, was able to get the part in today and had it replaced in less than 15 minutes 👍 so I salute you sir
Never understood buying 570s an 650s. Go 800/850 or 1k if your buying a 10,000$ plus of atv I ride a 2020 xt 1k my friends wives ride 570s and 650s fun little bikes but the 1ks are monsters and endless on tune power after owning 1 you'll never downgrade in size but after riding the smaller bikes you always end up wonting more. you have a super nice ride looks great love the vids.
There's no caps on the frame ends at the back of the bike for mund and shit to enter you'd think can am would be better at building frames then that good way of rotting your frame out
I actually prefer this design. The bike has caps on the rear suspension framework, and it traps all kinds of mud and sand in there, so I have to open the caps and wash it out every ride. No caps in the back let everything drain out when you accelerate and makes it easy to wash out when you clean the bike. I can say that nobody I know all the way back to a early G2 chassis has any frame rot due to this.
@@koomafloo9946 True but they could have put welded end caps on so it wouldn't be an issue at all. No reason for the frame to be open like that anyways.
I love a loud pipe, but I really like a quiet ATV. After riding with a group of loud pipes last week, I'll be keeping my stock exhaust for the foreseeable future.
Awesome review ! Looking pretty hard at one of these. Couple things I’d like to ask is how’s the suspension on trails? On the 850 and 1000 it’s super stiff and just wondering if there’s a difference in the 650? Also are you still happy with the power ?
The 650s ride much softer than the 850/1000 fox shocks. For 2019 they are incredible, much better than 2018. The power I am still very happy with. It is all the bike I need, but with that said, nobody will say I wish I got less power. The ride on a 2019 and 2020 will feel different mainly because of the new front sway bar, so keep that in mind. Hope this helps! Feel free to message me on instagram if you would like to chat.
What about the clutch, what about the lean fuel condition from factory, what about the steering linkage were the nut would loosen an come off, what about the front diff " does it have full lock"?
2019's arent lean. XMR's come with a lower gear ratio, so I haven't needed to clutch yet. I had zero problem turning the Nators in thick mud at Nationals. So far 650km in my steering is tight, maybe they fixed it for 2019. Front diff is a Visco QE. Works awesome to get both fronts spinning.
@@koomafloo9946 Thanx for replying. I got me one that won't idle at start and backfires. That's my luck i guess. It's been at the shop twice now and going again for the same problem. 3km on it. All depends on the young mechanic there if he knows what he's doing or not. 3rd try will tell me. Gonna ask for another bike or i don't want it if it come out the same.
@@johnlane1441 there you go. Can-am had many yrs to address these issues and seem to have done nothing. That's why now i'm telling people NOT to buy Can-am and go with a trusted brand. Ya i'm pissed that i bought a bike in Feb 8 2019 and never tried it yet. All of you Can-Am owners should be doing the same "complaining", you know the track record for this bike. Which other bike do you need to tow a garage to go for a ride?! Great review dude I had a 17 570 renegade xmr and just sold it and bought the 19 850 xmr outlander. I love it so far. How do you like the assinators? Are you running clutches or plan to? Keep up the nice work my friend.
Thanks for your comment! No clutching yet, the bike turns the assassinators no issue. We will see how things go down at Mud Nationals next week. Yea the rear latch isnt perfect, but it works!
Yes XT will be softer. Tire differences will also change the ride quality. With that said, Canams are still incredibly comfortable doing and uncomfortable activity.
@@СергейСергей-э5н Its hard to say. everyone has a different opinion and feel. I find the xmr with my tires comfy, others say its very rough. its subjective.

Thanks for the info on the improvements for 2019. Great review. I just bought the same bike 3 weeks ago and I now have 200 miles on it

I’m guessing your on can am forum under the same handle? Nice outty 👍🏼

Dam that's a bad azz bike bro 💪
@koomafloo, Went to Rox site they don't list a 2" riser only a 1.25" block offset riser for the Outlanders.?
The part number on their site says 3R-B12POEK fits outlanders. Just wondering what part # you got.
For my bike you want 2" 7/8 bar riser, so I got the dual size 2" riser.

Good vid. Clear. Consice. But doesnt "Bi" = 2?
If you mean calling it a bike, anything I straddle to ride I call a bike. Just a habit :)
I wonder if the Can Ams 650 engine is more powerful than the Polaris 570, does the Outty accelerate faster?
The Outlander 650 V twin is considerably more powerful than the 570 polaris motor.
