This was the best bag. I had it on my 48 before my brother in law crashed it. Got the same thing for the Dyna, but it sucks. Worthless small opening on the Dyna version. Have a good one, dude!
Hell no. Couldn't anyways, because my brother-in-law totaled my Sporty over the holidays. The bag was shredded from the crash. Hence, my new bike and all new accessory wish list. :(
New sub..got the same bag from Amazon for 109 fit my 2019 xl1200 forty eight perfect easy to install as long as you put the buckles for straps starting on the inside of bag..easier to tighten!
Do you think a motorcycle cover would be able to fit in there with a disc lock? I need a means to carry a disc lock and a cover for keeping the bike safe and out of sight when parked but dont want to have to run inside and drop them off. It'd be nice to shove the cover and the locks into the swing arm bag and go.
just looking at that second last screenshot on your video it looks like you have the right side swing bag mounted on the left. Am i right???? tbh i prefer the way you mounted it to how the screen shot shows it mounted the other way.....
No I purchased the left side swingarm bag and it's mounted on the left. The shorter side goes towards the front of the bike, it fits perfectly in that little area under the battery cover, shaped just for that. Bags for other models are shaped differently. I had to triple check that I was ordering the correct one before ordering as well though, so can get confusing, haha
Pick up my iron in a month and looking to get one of these bags to carry a disk lock, chain and padlock. Do you think would be tough enough to carry the weight of a big chain? Was hoping to find somewhere to carry cover to hide the bike when parked up at work from rain (live in uk so rains all the time) and scumbags but think that may be pushing it 😀 and have to leave under my desk or something. Cool channel dude.
You're really planning on clamping that bike down! Good on you, especially if needed. Bag should fit a disc lock, chain (depending on size,) and padlock easy enough, and since the rain guard is cloth, I think you'd be able to squeeze it in, but would be pushing it, haha. I use a Dowco Weatherall cover. Would recommend checking fitment on size though, as I can't remember which size I ordered (pretty sure it's the one for cruiser) - amzn.to/2nwmxG0
Thanks. Would mostly be left at work but useful if I was to go into the city or away to have something to hide the bike. Yeah bit paranoid but you can never be too careful and years of working in an office with secure off-road parking has never been an issue. New job so parking in the open. Will be hidden out of the way and covered by cctv but rather not have to make the claim.
Something I've always wondered. With sportsbikes there's space under the passenger seat for stuff like insurance and registration and maybe a tire patch kit, where do you keep stuff like that on a cruiser? Do you just have to keep it in your wallet when you ride?
Honor of Týr ....pretty much mate.... unless you have a bag like this or you ride a bagger you keep it on you... In Ireland and the UK we have Tax discs which are a pain in the ass as you have to attach them to the bike.... can kill the lines of the bike completely....
Yeah like Mike said, keep em where you're able. Lots keep them in their wallet, some in whatever storage option they have on the bike, entirely up to you.
I bought one for my softail slim but I'm afraid it will rub the paint off my bike. You get some clear tape with the bag but I'm still concerned about the paint.
+Tyin Flies 4 Life That would be illegal, as it's not concealed, nor in a secured container (law states that during transport if not on your person as a CWP holder, has to be in a sealed contained.)
Hey Blockhead, in one of your previous videos you mentioned you were going to ask at the dealership which way is better to break, using the breaks or down shifting? I have the same question, did you get to ask them? Also how did you come up with the name blockhead?
Haven't asked em, every time I go up there I get distracted with something else going on up there and totally forget. I'll try to remember next time I'm up there though! haha
Check out Bad&G Customs bags...I've experienced no scratches on my Nightster and Street Bob...see my videos for alternative option. No zip ties or special mounting required...leather straps hold everything securely in place.
My swingarm isn't scratched at all. The way the bag attaches is with soft leather straps, and they also provide a plastic film to put on the swingarm to protect it just in case.
Has time to criticize me not having a passenger seat... doesn't do research on same channel about passenger seat. th-cam.com/video/ySy2aAGW2aY/w-d-xo.html
Haha, all good man. I originally got the passenger pillion (seat) for Ms. Blockhead, but she's not comfortable riding on the back b/c she's not in control, which is understandable. The seat is easily removable, so I removed it while it's not in use. I go over it a little bit in this video actually - th-cam.com/video/6DTGnwVQfdM/w-d-xo.html I'll be going w/ a different solo seat, so I'll probably end up getting a different style 2up / passenger seat that doesn't have to integrate w/ the main solo seat for when I do have passengers. Thus why the passenger pegs stay on the bike.
It’s a far cry from a “swingarm bag”. They work much better on a hardtail bag. They are not very conducive with the shock’s. They should be called “ shocks in the way bag” Cheers
Never even seen one before this cool beans 👍🏻. Remember a dirty bike is a loved bike.
This was the best bag. I had it on my 48 before my brother in law crashed it. Got the same thing for the Dyna, but it sucks. Worthless small opening on the Dyna version. Have a good one, dude!
Can't retrofit the Sportster one on the Dyna?
Hell no. Couldn't anyways, because my brother-in-law totaled my Sporty over the holidays. The bag was shredded from the crash. Hence, my new bike and all new accessory wish list. :(
Bought one, installed it and love it! Thanks for the tip bro!
Glad you're enjoying it!
love your voice, so clear when u explain stuff! good reviews
I have the same bag, and thanks for the tip of hiding the passenger peg.
+dechanpaman Nice! Yeah sir, hope it helped :)
Just got mine in the mail. Super easy install. Think ima enjoy this thang!

Why do you have passenger pegs but no seat?

Did you ever do an install video? Do you still use/like this bag?
@ Blockhead: great review man! Did you ever get a video on how to install it as stated here?
I read all the comments. No one mentioned why the zip ties?
Are you going to post up a video for the swing arm bag? I purchased one and put it on but I'm curious to see how you mounted it.
Me too. Especially where you mounted the front strap to the bike.
Cool details for the duo thanks!
nice bag. i agree the saddle bags take away the look of the bike
I saw some passgenger pedal extenders the other day that are just for this application sorry i dont remember the link
just looking at that second last screenshot on your video it looks like you have the right side swing bag mounted on the left. Am i right???? tbh i prefer the way you mounted it to how the screen shot shows it mounted the other way.....
Mike Brady only on hard tails is it mounted the other way like in the screenshot

Just noticed you said you fitted rain guard in there as well - do you have a link?

+Fred KE8DKS I've had mine for nearly a year and no issue
I really like it, but when I checked it out, it says that it doesn't fit my 2017... What do you think?
Not sure on the 2017's. I think the frame's are the same, so I don't see why not. Best bet would be to call the company and ask, they'd know best :)
have you thought about putting a holster on the 883 for your gun
+Tyin Flies 4 Life That would be illegal, as it's not concealed, nor in a secured container (law states that during transport if not on your person as a CWP holder, has to be in a sealed contained.)
Srry Thought Florida was open carry. Thanks for the Reply Sir.
Is it waterproof?
I bought the same one but it seems to be really snug up against the battery cover how did you get it to sit like that?
+Damian Galvan Not sure how to explain it. I've got it on my list of videos to record
BLOCKHEAD I figure it out bro. I had the two top straps on too tight. It fit good now.
+Damian Galvan Nice! Glad to hear it :)
Would that bag fit my 2021 sportster forty eight?
Hi. Do you know if this bag can perfectly fit my Sportster XLH 883 - 1993 ? Thanks.
Hey Blockhead, in one of your previous videos you mentioned you were going to ask at the dealership which way is better to break, using the breaks or down shifting? I have the same question, did you get to ask them?

Enjoy your vids! New subscriber. Can swingman bag go on both sides or just one?
My larosa bag rubbed off the paint on my swing arm
Did this bag fit perfectly or did you have to modify anything? I have a sportster 1200 and was wondering if you think it would work on it?
Fit perfectly! No modifying needed. I think the Sportster 1200's have the same frame, so I think it would, but not 100% sure
I´ve been thinking about this bag for a while but I am a bit afraid of the mounting. Is your swingarm scratched from mounting it on and off?
Check out Bad&G Customs bags...I've experienced no scratches on my Nightster and Street Bob...see my videos for alternative option. No zip ties or special mounting required...leather straps hold everything securely in place.
Thank you very much

BH what kind of boots are you wearing!
+jwill1782 Just some off brand leather black boots
nice review bro thx
Cheers man, glad you enjoyed!
Dream bike :)
Could you fit a jacket in there?
But what about locking it?
+ConditionRed Doesn't lock
Good stuff Blockhead! As an alternative if needed, check out Bad&G Customs bags. Another great option in my experience.
I'll be sure to check that out, thanks for the info!
That view tho
Хорошее решение, спасибо, что показал) привет из Украины)
nice
Could you keep like a flask and a litre of cola in there???.....
Asking for a friend hahaha
I fuckin' like your videos, even they are old
That’s a nice bag to carry around a rag and some garbage
And wheel lock 🔒
Cool little bag. Not sure it's worth the price, but then again I'm a cheapskate by necessity/nature.
Eh it's a little pricey but dunno how I'd get by without it! Love this bag, has served me well :)
Matt Brown totally worth it (maybe late for you but for the others who'll read this... take this bag!!)
Thanks »₿łöčkHęäd GR8 Video«

BLOCKHEAD ya got me I must have missed that video why do you choose not to keep the passenger seat on? or is that in another video I missed
