Attempting to start the engine with new fuel pump

    I have to run those AVS2 carbs at just about one turn open only on your air fuel! They seem to flood bad.

      @@RedneckMechanicTurningWrenches absolutely! I several of the exact same set ups, and have fought the exact same issues. Adjust your throttle screw down, and choke down your air fuel

    Pour a little fuel down the carb and try to start it.
    Sometimes, when you change the fuel pump, you need to prime it. This is how you do it.
    Cranking rpm may not be enough to get the fuel up to the carb.
    Was the timing off before you changed the pump?!

      @@josephadams7106 No the timing should be close. I’ll have to use my timing light once it gets started though

    Is your vacuum advance on your carb plugged off? Could be a vacuum leak. Or try unplugging your electric choke

      @@joshdye1684 if adding fuel to the carb don’t work I’ll try this to see if the electric choke is working
