We had one of our good friends come over to help us get it running. The video unfortunately didn’t start recording until after a little while of working. Slight profanity warning. Again I don’t know how to edit my videos yet so I can’t bleep it out. I hope you enjoy the videos and please comment below with suggestions and comments that you have.

I have to run those AVS2 carbs at just about one turn open only on your air fuel! They seem to flood bad.
@@joshdye1684 I’ll give this a try thank you for the tips
@@RedneckMechanicTurningWrenches absolutely! I several of the exact same set ups, and have fought the exact same issues. Adjust your throttle screw down, and choke down your air fuel
Is your vacuum advance on your carb plugged off? Could be a vacuum leak. Or try unplugging your electric choke
@@joshdye1684 if adding fuel to the carb don’t work I’ll try this to see if the electric choke is working
Pour a little fuel down the carb and try to start it. Sometimes, when you change the fuel pump, you need to prime it. This is how you do it. Cranking rpm may not be enough to get the fuel up to the carb. Was the timing off before you changed the pump?!
@@josephadams7106 No the timing should be close. I’ll have to use my timing light once it gets started though
@@josephadams7106 I just reread your comment and I’ll try adding fuel to prime the pump this time
maybe its the fuel tank itself with all the connections, check and see if there is old fuel in the tank itself
@@kevinkobayashi what is ended up being that the sending unit was bad. That video will be available here shortly. I also discovered that the fuel pump was bad.
Once you get fuel, your next road blocks will be because you bought an AVS2 carb. Had the worst luck with those
What should I look out for with the avs2 carb
@@RedneckMechanicTurningWrenches sorry just seen this. Commented on your other vid. They flood bad on me. Letting too much fuel in. Have to barely open your air fuel mixture screws
@@RedneckMechanicTurningWrenches also, once you get it set and running. Put a carb spacer in. The heat from your manifold actually evaporates the fuel in your bowls without it. Every time you stop for 5-10 min. Took me awhile to figure that out
@@joshdye1684 what spacer do you recommend
@@joshdye1684 I’ll give it a try
😂😂😂Unbelievable!!! I LOVE IT. ❤
The easy way to install mount bolts is to keep the cherry picker in place a little longer. Position the cherry picker slide the bolts in then your done with the picker but not until those bolts are installed.
@@kdsboosted4954 thank you for the tip I will make sure that on my next project car I do that. That sounds a lot easier then the way I did it. Sorry it took me so long to reply. I thought I had replied.
@@RedneckMechanicTurningWrenches no worries
I always put a new transmission seal in while I'm in there
@@johndoe-xy4xq I wish I would have done that good note for the next project
Leave carburetor off too.
You should get a tripod for your camera. Also you should show in a top view
Update on this video, I am still waiting for the parts and I will be putting the new leaf spring’s underneath the old ones for best results otherwise you risk braking the bolts holding them on.
Awe project

How are ya doing
Hey man
Hope your surgery goes well
Thank you for the support
You should try to soak it in vinegar. Vinegar help remove varnish and calcium buildup.
I will give that a shot. Thank you
You bought some dirt bike tires
I realized that once I got looking at the tires closer that they were for 4” wide rims and my truck has 8.5”
amazing
Thanks
