I've really enjoyed watching your videos. I get goose bumps listening to the sound of the MD, from starting to shut off. My Dad bought a 1947 MD brand new, and I could hardly wait until I got old enough to drive it. Finally at 9 yrs of age and 2 yrs of bugging the heck out of the old man, he finally let me drive it. I had to wedge my butt against the seat to reach the clutch, but I didn't mind. I did a lot of chisel plowing, and loved listening to that diesel beller as I would work this Michigan blue clay. If all the tractors I've ever operated from my grandfather's 39 A to my cousin's Case IH Steiget, my absolute favorite was and forever shall be the MD. Thanks for taping and sharing your restoration journey. I really enjoyed it. I restored a 51 H, and 40 A kerosene, but haven't worked up the courage to tackle a Diesel. Probably at age 83, I never will. Again, thanks.
Mr. Pete, you farm the way I did when I was farming as a teenager/young adult. We had a Farmall "M", not the "MD" My neighbor had the "MD", and I spent a lot of time on it. When I started mowing hay, I used the cycle bar mower, except ours was tow behind. Then we graduated up from there. Back then, that's the kind of mower that the state and county used to mow the ditches. By the way, I'm 61 years old. Thank you so much for sharing this. I was watching you spread maneure the other day, and it brought back a lot of memories because that's exactly how I did it. We also at one time had a Farmall C, H, and a John Deere 630 with a wide front-end on it. Those were the days.
Local news: 2 shootings, devastating house fires, homicides, fraud & theft National news: Cringeworthy political garbage World news: War TH-cam: Ahhhh Pete just uploaded a new video. Heartbeat & blood pressure returns to normal. My breathing relaxes. I can almost smell that fresh cut field. I'm fascinated and completely relaxed at watching the farm action. I'm happy again as I laugh along with Pete. Like many, many other folks I'm forever grateful to you both for letting us into your world. You bring joy to so many. Hugs from a middle aged Grandmother from a suburban town in Wisconsin
Pete your tractor is a master piece of restoration. Like you say the sound of engine is so beautiful. How would you ever get the same feeling if you were on an electric tractor if they ever go that way. Pete your joy makes it fun to watch. That great job done feeling you rarely get in life today.
You have earned "Bragging Rights". Have watched your teardowns and rebuilds. It's pleasure watching a mechanic ply their trade. Enjoyed this morning's video. Thank You, Pete.
Pete--I really appreciate all your troubles to showcase the newly restored tractor. But, I can't help but think how many times you looked at the original tractor and thought, "is it really worth all the trouble?" Great video the brighter red paint looked good on you!
Just looking at your smile after you cut your field and listening to your beautiful tractor purr , funny how your good day helps us here in Montana . We do so enjoy your videos. We have been ranching in Montana for about 6 years after calling it quits in the medical field, we have followed a few Others on you tube by far we value who you are , how in today’s times what works for you and your farm and your words of wisdom ! Thank you very much for being a great person .
GOTTA TELL YA PETE, WHEN YOU STARTED UP THE MD IN GARAGE, BEING A BIT OF A GEARHEAD MYSELF THERES NOTHING MORE SATISFYING THEN THE SOUND OF THAT MACHINE PURRING LIKE ESRA. EVEN WITHOUT THE MUFFLER. GREAT JOB WITH THE RESTORATION. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. YOU ALL HAVE GREAT WORK ETHIC 👍
The 'song' of a well tuned tractor IS a delight at any time. Well, that and a well trimmed field with a side cutter just makes me sit a little deeper in my computer chair and reminisce. Hope all is well at your place.
I think you are selling the MD short saying it sounds "nice". That tractor sounds GLORIOUS, especially that unmuffled bark when you snap it over from gas to diesel. Literally yanks me back to my teenage years and running that old MD.
That MD is about as good of a example what it would have been like for the original farmer that bought it brand spanking new in the 50s!! Great job on the restore!!
The old equipment, with a good dose of horse sense works so well. Good job on that restoration, Pete. That ol' girl sure does run smooth. When I was a kid, I learned to tune my car by ear once I got the specs dialed in. It was always a very satisfying moment to listen to the purr as you wiped the grime off the tools before putting them away.
At the 14 minute mark was a thing of beauty!!! That low rpm RIPPED MY HEART OUT!!! That's what I call true mechanical meticulousness!!! I know for a FACT, You and my Dad would've gotten along like two peas in a pod!!! 💜💜💜💜
I love seeing sickle bar mowers cutting, I think they are underrated, the tractor’s sounding and looking great, you did an awesome job, now that I recently retired I want to restore something and I can’t decide what but I have narrowed it either an old tractor, an airstream trailer
I used to cut and watch our old dog chase all the rodents as they went out at our farm. Bring back great memories. You're in heaven! Good for you and god bless you and those old Farmall's
Awesome machine Pete. You did a great job restoring it too. Looks to be in Show Room condition. Love the sounds of that diesel. I bet an eight hour audio recording would help most people sleep at night. Awesome.
In the early '70's the local farmer that I worked for had a belly mower mounted on an IH806 w/ tricycle front. It made monitoring the cycle bar much easier. A downside was that it was possible to drop a rear wheel into a low enough depression to sit the tractor weight onto the mower frame.
Love to hear a smooth running cyclmower running on a smooth running tractor no matter its make. We had a smooth running john deere a with a smooth running new idea tow behind that I loved to listen to. Nothing more relaxing. Loved the how low will she go part.
My 56 Farmall 400D would throw you for a "Loop"! She used to run a 40" portable "Bell-Saw" sawmill... The Log Cabin she "CUT" All Wood for that "Cabin".. Irasburg V.T.!
That was fun to watch! You can't beat watching old tractors still doing a good day's work. Loved the drone shot of the countryside too. The Finger Lakes area of NY state is truly beautiful.
The MD sounds great. I love the drone footage; it gives a perspective I never had before working in the fields. Looking pretty in upstate New York, see you are getting some rain with more to come. Have a great day.
Thanks again, Pete. I always love watching a sickle bar mower working. This was nicely informative. It is really good to see you getting to enjoy the fruits of your labor of the MD.
I can't even lie. Your smile and genuine enthusiasm is infectious and these lil mundane tasks enjoying working with a thing and doing the day in day out upkeep is the best kind of ASMR to relax to. Brings back a lot of memories growing up on a farm. Thank you for all the content.
Pete, every time you do these type of videos, it just springs up memories of growing up at the farm in Clinton County,NY. The Dairy Farm is no longer there as the barn burned down without livestock or equipment many decades ago, but it does not take away what I saw, and how it felt to work in the fields cutting, raking, baling, and filling the mow each summer. Thanks for the video and the Channel. Take Care
I grew up on a farm too, in Genesee County, and I kind of feel sorry for people that didn't. Our barn burned too, and that part of the story I wish had never happened. A neighbor kid was an arsonist and didn't get caught until he had burned several barns in the area. That was back in '66. Dad lost some equipment but luckily the tractor (we only had one) was in another building that night. Losing that barn really hurt the farm.
Pete, When you were lying on the ground I thought how might favorite tool at 52 years of age has become a 1.5" thick 4' x 4' piece of neoprene rubber. It is awesome on the gravel.
Oh man, I wish it was financially feasible to ship some of that as hay down to Cross Timber Bison in OK. Hay is scarce because of the drought! Please keep using the drone shots, awesome! That MD runs like a champ, even mechanically handicapped old me can hear the difference. She is a happy ol gal!
Definitely a great day. Nice to see the md out working. Really took some time and effort to switch it over. Thanks for taking the time to video and share. Love how you take such good care of your equipment. Really appreciate the education on stuff as well. Prayers for your health and wellness along with your family.
Good morning. I eagerly await each video. I'm rewatching your financial records video to set mine up using your concepts. Great stuff. Thanks for letting us in your operation!

I think I can smell the cut grass!
Spending 20 minutes in my day watching you is just pure bliss for this old man. Thank you so much for sharing Pete.
Thank you.....
The sound of the H when you started up and pulled away... It was perfect
There’s nothing more satisfying than a well adjusted sickle mower.
A well-adjusted manure spreader is close!

Pete, pat yourself on the back, it really looks and sounds GREAT . Job well done.
Yes sir you did a fantastic job on that tractor nothing like watching old steel working with clean clothes on thanks Pete

What I was thinking you were able to put into words. I always feel the same...from a proud 77 year old Grandfather. Thank you Heather!
Pete, that's one honey of a tractor. You've done an excellent job getting her back in prime condition.
Good morning Pete! Nothing like spending a Sunday morning watching your show, thank you for all hard work on making your videos!
Pete your tractor is a master piece of restoration. Like you say the sound of engine is so beautiful. How would you ever get the same feeling if you were on an electric tractor if they ever go that way.
Pete your joy makes it fun to watch. That great job done feeling you rarely get in life today.
Pete I just love the sound of that Andy since you rebuilt it man that looks sweet and it sounds gorgeous
Pete, your tractor is a true thing of beauty to watch. Purrs like a kitten. The mark of craftsmanship. Thanks for the video.
Working on machines can be tedious sometimes but there is nothing more gratifying than when they run good and get the job done.
Watching old machinery work is so soothing...
You have earned "Bragging Rights". Have watched your teardowns and rebuilds. It's pleasure watching a mechanic ply their trade.
Enjoyed this morning's video. Thank You, Pete.
Thanks Jack! I am proud of the MD.
I guess you already know you live in paradise. Glad to see you enjoy it like you do. Thanks.
Pete, another great video with fine camera placement. The MD purrs like one of your fine tuned clocks.
Pete--I really appreciate all your troubles to showcase the newly restored tractor. But, I can't help but think how many times you looked at the original tractor and thought, "is it really worth all the trouble?" Great video the brighter red paint looked good on you!
Got that one purring like a kitten Pete! Have a good day

Pete the MD sounds great and love hearing your Farmalls run
Hi Pete love watching the MD at work after watching the whole restoration process keep it up.

The hours you will enjoy using your equipment far surpasses the time making her right. Thank you for sharing the fruits of your labour.
Toot your own horn that MD is a thing of beauty. Once again epic job on the rebuild
Your videography is second to none in my humble opinion!!! I very much enjoy your videos!
The 'song' of a well tuned tractor IS a delight at any time. Well, that and a well trimmed field with a side cutter just makes me sit a little deeper in my computer chair and reminisce. Hope all is well at your place.

The swallows do the same thing to me when I mow the orchard ! Nice seeing the MD running so well.
I had about as much fun watching as you did mowing !!!! MD purrs like a kitten. I could watch this for hours !!!!
That MD is about as good of a example what it would have been like for the original farmer that bought it brand spanking new in the 50s!! Great job on the restore!!

That MD ticks like clockwork, it's so soothing.
It was fun riding along on your shiny red tractor today. I think I could smell the fresh cut grass…
I've seen landscaping screws take out taller grass in residential neighborhoods, but they're no match for this scenery.
Wow, that engine really purrs.
The mower sounds nice The tractor sounds nice and even Pete sounds nice. Keep up the good work you do
Thank you Pete! It never gets old watching you cut for hay. I love the sickle bar mower.
Good morning Pete! I love it when you just make a video on the tractor cutting, thanks for making this Pete!
As soon as you said MOWING , I was there…lol 😀 Your tractor sounds great and looks so pretty 😍
I love seeing sickle bar mowers cutting, I think they are underrated, the tractor’s sounding and looking great, you did an awesome job, now that I recently retired I want to restore something and I can’t decide what but I have narrowed it either an old tractor, an airstream trailer
Hi Pete, you are correct the engine sounds amazing, can't believe the difference. Thank you.
I used to cut and watch our old dog chase all the rodents as they went out at our farm. Bring back great memories. You're in heaven! Good for you and god bless you and those old Farmall's
That ol' MD sure is a neat tractor. Thanks for the video, Pete.
Awesome machine Pete. You did a great job restoring it too. Looks to be in Show Room condition. Love the sounds of that diesel. I bet an eight hour audio recording would help most people sleep at night. Awesome.
Pete, what a wonderful job you did on that MD.
It’s looks beautiful so shiny and red against the green of the freshly cut grass
In the early '70's the local farmer that I worked for had a belly mower mounted on an IH806 w/ tricycle front. It made monitoring the cycle bar much easier. A downside was that it was possible to drop a rear wheel into a low enough depression to sit the tractor weight onto the mower frame.
6:40 "The Farmall requires a sacrifice!" 🤣
Awesome video of the beautiful Farmall MD and sickle bar mower working for the farmer. 👍👍👍🇺🇸
Whoever was manning the drone did a great job. The perspective gives us a better understanding of what is happening on the ground. 👍
drone has an automatic follow mode. it's flying itself.
Dear Pete, WOW JUST WOW. That tractor is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! ❤️
Love to hear a smooth running cyclmower running on a smooth running tractor no matter its make. We had a smooth running john deere a with a smooth running new idea tow behind that I loved to listen to. Nothing more relaxing. Loved the how low will she go part.
Never realized sickle bars were so complicated.
Thanks for the video Pete, love that MD, she sounds sweet.
My favorite farmer, yes sir I really look forward to any of your great informative videos, thank you.
I sure do like that MD and am glad you got it going well again. Nice video
Nice video. MD sounds looks great. My Dad had a Ferguson 20 and sickle bar mower when I was a kid in Ireland.
Your old tractors are soo cool!!!! You do an a amazing job restoring them!!
Learn something every time. Plus bringing out the beautiful MD! She purrs.
My 56 Farmall 400D would throw you for a "Loop"! She used to run a 40" portable "Bell-Saw" sawmill... The Log Cabin she "CUT" All Wood for that "Cabin".. Irasburg V.T.!
Had to be a rewarding experience, the overhauled MD and knowing the good the thatching is doing your pasture. Well done sir.
Wow, love the sound of the MD just running along, reminds me of sounds, smells, bouncing' about. Thanks for that !!!
I was proud for you when you swapped over from gas to diesel at 7:05 and it was running so smooth
Awesome to see the Farm All working again.

What a beautiful restored tractor. So peaceful
Very nice video. Enjoyed watching the adjustment of the mower. The MD sounds terrific too. Excellent job.
Sure is nice to sit back & relax after today's work while watching you mow. Thanks so much for the video!

That was pure poetry in motion!!
Man that MD looks like it just came off of the showroom floor. Beautiful tractor!

Great work on the MD Pete. She sounds amazing.
Love watching you mow with MD. You did a great job.

Hello Peter. Thanks for taking us along!! Be well.
Nothing looks better in a green field than a nice looking red tractor!
That MD sure is a looker ever since you finished the restoration. Glad to see the ole girl back out in the field after dropping a valve.
Thanks for taking me for a ride on your tractor, Pete. I had a great time. I hope we can do it again soon.
