  • This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences.
Adria Goodson introduces you to three people who are leading social movements to transform unjust systems and open up possibilities for us, our children, and grand children. Adria has been facilitating a learning community for 21st century social movement leaders for a decade. Building collective power, one person at a time, one focused step at a time, can change the world for the better and movement leaders invite you to join in the journey.

Never will you meet someone more committed to supporting the success of movement builders at all stages of their career. Adria’s personal leadership in this work is inspiring as she challenges people to expect more of themselves and the world around them. Most importantly, this talk reinforces that there is room, and a need, for everyone in the movement against injustice-you just have to commit to take action. By doing so, you too will shape the arc of history and open the doors for future generations.

Adria - I just learned of this from a simple search. I'm SO VERY PROUD of you and the path you've taken in your life. I remember your apprehension about making the decision to leave all that you knew to head to Boston. I know you have had and will continue to have a tremendous impact on the world. Kudos on being an outstanding human being! Eng.

Adria, this was profoundly moving and I did not know your parents were from Indiana and went to Ball State. Your story and your thoughts impacted me friend. Thank you for being in the world and doing what you do. You inspire me and I am sharing this video with others. You are so right movements are messy, iterative and innovative and it begins with each of us.
