I'm so sorry about the car incident and that creep of a manager...I'm glad you're ok and safe ❤️ I've had a car slowing down beside me too on the street and I trusted my instincts and left while also calling someone immediately on the phone. If someone is giving me an off feeling I'm out, i never think that i might look weird or offend someone by walking away from them. We have to always be aware of our surroundings even during the day. On a brighter note I'm glad you had a couple of good reading months Jensee 🙈❤
That is my biggest thing, trusting your gut - even if it doesn't seem like anything is happening. ❤️ I've had a couple specific instances where I've gotten a weird vibe from someone for no obvious reason and later found out that they were indeed creeps. 😬 Idk how, but our bodies just know when something is off and I will always listen to that. And yes, I'm pretty excited about my last couple reading months! Especially July, I went out of my comfort zone a little bit and it worked out! 😋
Love seeing the stats! I don't know what is it, but it's just so satisfying looking at all these details about the books read at the end of the month! 🥰
I am (im)patiently waiting for the whole Half Blood series to come out before I start because I already know I'm gonna love it and I want to binge the series in October. 👻
4:15 to be fair, I can 100% relate to that feeling - reading a book that is objectively not bad, where I can recognize someone did a good job with it... and yet I just don't care what happens. I think it's totally valid opinion - the book is alright, just we're not engaged with it. That being said, one of the books that made me feel this way was The Ballad of Never After - I found myself not interested in what will happen to the main couple at all, which in a romance book is kinda the point 🙃
Yes, that's exactly it! I could appreciate the things that I liked about (which was a lot), but frustratingly was never fully engaged in it 🙃 Oh no! LOL The romances I think were part of the problem with the Caraval series...in Legendary I was literally rooting for a romance I knew was not going to happen 😂 ..ahh hopefully we don't have a repeat 😬🤞🏻
omg I think my problem with caraval was the same, I just couldn’t care less about the characters LOL 😬 life of the party sounds heavy but really good, I’ll have to add it to my tbr! My first job was mcdonalds too haha and I remember vividly this man with no teeth giving me a bottle of gin when I was 16 🙃
I hear so many great things about Caraval and I want to love it as much as everyone else does, but I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling kind 'meh' about it. 🥴 Ahh how funny! So many interesting people came into McDonalds...no one without teeth offering a bottle of gin though!! 😂
Just finished this phenomenal collection of fairy tales entitled 'Sillies, Fancies, and Trifles' - highly recommend to go along with the books here and its perfect for the season. Keep up the beautiful vids :)
Aww thank you!! 💖 Right! That book was so fun! It might just be because I freshly read them, but I'm feeling like both of those reads are highlights for the year so far. Really enjoyed them! ☺️📖✨
With "The Word is Murder" I wonder if Anthony Horowitz actually did go on a ride-along with a detective as research for this book. The layers sound very fascinating.
He used examples of real people and movies and things (in regards to himself) in the book, so it did make me wonder if there was some elements of truth to the mystery element as well. 🤔 I wouldn't be surprised if he did go one a ride along or something similar. It was a really cool read!
I still haven't read A Novel Love Story, and I'm so afraid - because I want to love it or at the very least like it a lot - but based on all the reviews I've seen, I'm not sure that I will. I really should just buck up and read it with low expectations. thank you for reminding me that I want to read Ice Planet Barbarians. I didn't realize it was up to 21 books. This seems very impressive.
Yea A Novel Love Story was a weird one for me. It was good and was exactly what I thought it was going to be, but somehow just didn't do it for me. 🙃 But hopefully you have a better time with it! And HIGHLY recommend Ice Planet! ...I got my sister hooked on them as well LOL ❄️📖🌶
Not smut having its own category. "life of the party" sounds so interesting but I might cry when I read topics like sexualism and the woman struggles but I would definitely give it a try.
smut is it's own thing in my head lol And that's exactly how I feel about "life of the party" It was a good read and well written, just a little dark 😅
Don’t let me discourage you! I think it’s a me problem lol it literally has everything I typically love and has some fun twists.. it just didn’t do it for me for some reason 🤷🏻♀️

I loved them too! I didn’t realize I read so many different types of books lol
@@jenseereads right?!
I like how smut has its own category lol
😋😋😋

That's a good plan! That's what I was going to do originally, but I wanted to make sure I liked it first...I should have known I would lol
Great wrap up 📚🥤

Ahh thank you so much!! That is the best compliment 💕🤗💕
Life of the party sounds like it would be intense 😩
It was definitely a heavy read...would not recommend reading more than a couple poems at a time 😅 lol

I loved I Hope This Finds You Well, I couldn’t put it down! Ice Planet Barbarians sound good, might have to pick it up. Great video as always.

Lol 4/11 smut books. That's where I need to be.

Oh no, this is the first not-entirely-positive review of Caraval. It's on my list.
