I enjoyed the heck out of Empire of the Vampire, and it was a lot more funny than I was expecting. I also loved The Nanny, but it's single parent/nanny romance and I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to that trope. this haul was spectacular. I hope you love everything.

I bought Filthy Rich Vampire 1 & 2 from a book store in Missouri months ago (She's a local author) on a whim. It was the only set of books on the local author shelf that was fantasy. And now I guess they are "viral" haha
Just a tip from a professional Target book shopper... if you have their app you can scan the barcode on the back of the book. It will give you the online price. Target will then comp the online price. If it is cheaper that is. They also will comp Amazon and Walmart.

I assumed all their books were old and lame. 🤣 I have found several 2023 and 2024 copyrights. With Target stickers and Reese BC stickers. I'm kinda mad I judged so hard. 🤣🤣
I own cascade failure as well! I have not read it yet but want to soon. It sounds so good and I’ve heard no one talk about it. I didn’t even know there was a second one. I didn’t think it would come out this fast because the first one came out this year in March.

Empire of the Vampire is a Grim dark fantasy. It was one of my favorite books in from 2022. I loved the haul. That's exactly why I stopped putting myself on book buying bans. I always go crazy after I allowed myself to buy again. Lol

about the mark on top of the books: i've been told by used booksellers near me that they do that so that other bookstores would not be able to resell it? i gather its some sort of way to show that that was already bought used ? im not 100% sure because i've heard different things but just thought id share!
House of breathing wings is on kindle unlimited if you have it. Also Book outlet reminds me of a store near me called Ollie’s that does the same thing with not purchased or overstocked books from other stores.
@ you definitely should! It’s not just a book store but it has a lot of good used ones. It is all kind of cheaper things in bulk from other stores but it has an amazing selection of cheap books.
Just found your channel and subscribed. I started ordering from Book Outlet in 2014. Back then the prices were $2-$4.99, often with discounts on orders. I don’t order now because it feels expensive compared to then, and I’m a thrifty girlie. 🤷🏾♀️

People don’t talk about book outlet because in 2020, book outlet tweeted in response to a BIPOC booktuber asking why that they didn’t have more POC (specifically black people) in their old affiliate program, Book Outlet said they only work with “family friendly” content creators and implied that all black people swear or post explicit content. And then they didn’t respond for like 2 months and just removed their program all together because no one wanted to work with anymore.

I am definitely living under a rock. How did I not know that there is a spin-off series of Kingdom of the Wicked and we are getting all six princes stories?! I have to start reading them and I am looking forward to Greed's story because there were some mysteries surrounding him if I am sure. I did forget a lot of plot in the KOTW series and I hope there won't be much mention of what happened in that book. All the book covers are so pretty and amazing. I really loved the WOLF.E book cover and I am thinking of reading it. I always thought you had to have the card to get the sticker discount (the 20-30% off that seem to always be on the books), but I don't think you do. BUT I do think you have to have the membership card to get the sales (like the buy 2 get one free that ends today), which is totally free. I don't shop at Target very often (because the closest one is a million miles away from me lol) so I could still be totally wrong 😅 but that's my understanding of it lol
I think I did it on their app, but you can also go to Target's website; there's a link at the top, it's called 'Target Circle.' I don't think it's an actual card, but on the app you have a barcode in the 'wallet' that you can scan for discounts and stuff ☺️

Oh no!! ☹️ I have ZERO tolerance for offensive behavior👎🏻 Thank you for letting me know!! 💕 EDIT: I've been DIGGING to find everything I possibly can on this and here's what I've found [for anyone interested in a follow up]: The initial issue was they didn't have diverse representation. They did apologize and said they will improve moving forward, and as far as I can find it seems like they have. I looked over their website and they do sell and feature a lot of books from bipoc authors, and I've also found a lot of hauls and other videos from many diverse creators within this year.
I also think that they don’t always have a lot of choice in what they can get, because they are buying “leftovers”, but I do think their choice is fairly diverse based on what I’ve purchased from them. i am in Canada and live close to their location in Ontario and I get my books in typically 3 or 4 days at the most. Great delivery and a wonderful selection. I’ve literally received one book that was damaged a bit and it was still minimal. The prices can’t be beat, but they do sell out of their stock quickly so that’s the challenge when buying from them. You have to check their stock regularly because it changes all of the time.
Readers offended by people burning buildings and destroying property and heaven forbid a business say something and it's then considered offensive. Please . .. . Our human society has broken down hope we can recover and learn right from wrong.

@@jenseereadsso the MAJOR issue that happened in 2020 is that Book Outlet refused to work with Black creators bc, to quote Book Outlet, these (Black) creators "used urban and non-family friendly language." The problem was that the Black creators in question never cussed or used "adult language" on their channels, and even if they did, Book Outlet had partnered with White creators who regularly cussed and used "adult language." This came to light in 2020 and Book Outlet has been trying to sweep it under the rug ever since but I think a lot of booktubers (especially poc) haven't forgotten the incident
The book outlet decline happened long before 2020. As publishers sending influencers books picked up as well as ways to make money on TH-cam, the amount of book outlet and goodwill/thrift boom hauls went down. I’m not saying those things didn’t still exist but they certainly went down steadily over the years as those things happened. 2020 may seem to some younger people like what happened but really it was just finishing off the decline they already had in social media.
I wanted to add - I enjoyed your haul, book outlet took over my thoughts 😅 Something I’ve done when trying to control my book buying is buying books for my nieces and nephew. I buy them books anyway but when I’m itching to buy a book I just buy them one, which is technically still buying books so idk 😂

Oh no!! ☹️ I have ZERO tolerance for offensive behavior👎🏻 Thank you for letting me know!! 💕 EDIT: I've been DIGGING to find everything I possibly can on this and here's what I've found [for anyone interested in a follow up]: The initial issue was they didn't have diverse representation. They did apologize and said they will improve moving forward, and as far as I can find it seems like they have. I looked over their website and they do sell and feature a lot of books from bipoc authors, and I've also found a lot of hauls and other videos from many diverse creators within this year.
I also think that they don’t always have a lot of choice in what they can get, because they are buying “leftovers”, but I do think their choice is fairly diverse based on what I’ve purchased from them. i am in Canada and live close to their location in Ontario and I get my books in typically 3 or 4 days at the most. Great delivery and a wonderful selection. I’ve literally received one book that was damaged a bit and it was still minimal. The prices can’t be beat, but they do sell out of their stock quickly so that’s the challenge when buying from them. You have to check their stock regularly because it changes all of the time.
Readers offended by people burning buildings and destroying property and heaven forbid a business say something and it's then considered offensive. Please . .. . Our human society has broken down hope we can recover and learn right from wrong.

@@jenseereadsso the MAJOR issue that happened in 2020 is that Book Outlet refused to work with Black creators bc, to quote Book Outlet, these (Black) creators "used urban and non-family friendly language." The problem was that the Black creators in question never cussed or used "adult language" on their channels, and even if they did, Book Outlet had partnered with White creators who regularly cussed and used "adult language." This came to light in 2020 and Book Outlet has been trying to sweep it under the rug ever since but I think a lot of booktubers (especially poc) haven't forgotten the incident
The book outlet decline happened long before 2020. As publishers sending influencers books picked up as well as ways to make money on TH-cam, the amount of book outlet and goodwill/thrift boom hauls went down. I’m not saying those things didn’t still exist but they certainly went down steadily over the years as those things happened. 2020 may seem to some younger people like what happened but really it was just finishing off the decline they already had in social media.
I wanted to add - I enjoyed your haul, book outlet took over my thoughts 😅 Something I’ve done when trying to control my book buying is buying books for my nieces and nephew. I buy them books anyway but when I’m itching to buy a book I just buy them one, which is technically still buying books so idk 😂
